The restaurant overlooks the pool area and has a lovely open-air atmosphere. We sat at one of the high-top tables and were served quickly. I went with the signature burger, cooked medium, and it was cooked to perfection. The truffle fries were also fresh and delicious. Free refills were offered on my Coke Zero, which was a nice touch. Definitely the best pool bar I have been to at Disney. I had heard this place was great, so I decided to stop in with some friends. We took the Skyliner from Hollywood Studios here, and it didn't take very long to arrive. We were easily able to get seats at the bar, but later in our visit it got very crowded, so I would try to visit earlier in the day rather than later. We started out with the Cheese and Charcuterie, which was beautifully presented. We ran out of bread at one point, and our bartender happily brought us more without us even asking. I loved the selection of cheeses and fruits, and it was the perfect thing to share. To drink we all decided to get the Pineapple Mule. It was very refreshing and just strong enough. I was still hungry after that, so I decided to order the Grilled Vegetable Pita. The flavor was pretty good and the portion size was generous, but the pita fell apart almost immediately, so I had to eat the rest with a fork. I probably would not order this again. My husband ordered the cheese flatbread, which was pretty standard but did the job. I really enjoyed my visit here, and I would definitely stop by again if I were staying at a resort on the Skyliner. After a long, cold day at the parks - this place hits the spot. We've always drove by this resort and wondered was on top. After renovation finished a couple of years ago and we got the chance to take a small vacation to Coronado Springs, this was the first place we thought of to have a drink! The venue is beautiful, and so with the full bar service and tapas. We ordered two espresso martinis with calamari and wings. Drinks were strong and food was piping hot. Our server was nothing but wonderful. If you are not staying at this resort, I highly recommend making reservations at Toledo and have a drink at Bar Riva. It's a very lovely area that gives me Mediterranean vibes and service is friendly and efficient. I really liked my drink the strawberry daiquiri. It was the perfectly sweet refreshing drink I needed after lounging at the pool. My husband liked his pineapple mule. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie plate to share. They had other items that I was interested in but we were trying to save our appetites for dinner. The plate was just okay, I wouldn't get it again because we weren't a fan of certain cheeses on there. I have menu regrets and hope to try some of their other items if we ever come back. read more

I love the monte cristo here. I'm so glad they brought Monte cristo to Disney world as I've enjoyed it so many times whenever I'm at Disneyland. The sandwich is crispy and the jam is tart enough to cut through the richness. The interior is fresh and modern, kind of remind me of the restaurants I been to in Mykonos. The service is always good, as I would expect from Disney. I've been wanting to try the skillet cookie but this restaurant for a while now and I just got the chance to go and it was delicious. I love the cookie on its own, but the ice cream on top took it to a whole other level. I also really liked the sea salt. Next was the parm-garlic chicken tenders and it was tasty with the sauce and ranch on the side. The Greek salad was so refreshing with all the toppings, like the chickpeas and the bell peppers. Bar Riva is located at Disney Rivera Resort and is pretty much a pool bar. It is table service and located directly across from their pool. This is an open-air restaurant serving food and drinks as well as a walk-up bar. I want to like this place so bad, but it just is not that great. It's not good for drinks, but it is good for food. They have a few high-top tables, regular tables and then bar seats. It is not extremely large, and can get busy, but we have never had an issue finding a table. We have been here a few times and every time I have ordered different cocktails, and they are always terrible. They have specialty cocktails as well as a small selection of beer and wine. The last time we visited, my husband and I decided to just get a regular drink that any bartender should be able to make. I chose a lemon drop martini. First it was served in a plastic cup, it was extremely sour and actually very undrinkable. It was honestly like drinking straight lemon juice. My husband ordered a Manhattan. It was also served in plastic cup, it was not made correctly, and they did not use the correct cherries, they used Marracino. They both were also very small; I would say half the size of normal martinis. When our bill came, they also charged me $3 extra for a certain type of vodka. I was never asked and actually have NEVER been asked which vodka I wanted. They also use the house unless you specify. I was very upset that I was being charged extra for not even a higher priced vodka. My husband was asked which liquor he wanted in his drink and was charged $6 extra. So basically, his drink which was small and not good, cost about $20. We will not get drinks here again. Even though the drinks are terrible, the food is fantastic. We do actually really enjoy the food here. We have had a few different items on the menu, their menu has also been updated in the last few months. This last time, my husband ordered the Grilled Chicken Pasta which has Campanelle Pasta, Fennel, Sun-dried Tomato, Spinach, Capers, and Herbs tossed with Volute Sauce. He loved it. It was light and very tasty. It was not very sauce heavy, which is what he prefers. I went with their new Chicken Strips and chose the Parmesan-Garlic Sauce. These were fantastic! One of the best chicken strips I have had in Disney. They were crispy, crunchy and full of flavor. It was very garlicky and had big strips of parmesan cheese on top. We have also tried some of the appetizers in the past, such as the arancini and the baked brie. We have always enjoyed the food here. IN the future we will return, but we will not get a mixed drink. I would recommend just getting food, and then after head upstairs to Toppolino's (the restaurant at the top of the resort) and just get a drink there, they are much better! But if you are looking to get away from the parks or looking for a good lunch this is a great spot to come. It's worth checking out for the food. read more

Be prepared though, your drinks are in plastic cups because of the pool. We settled at the bar and had a couple of drinks, served by Alex(?) or maybe Amie? (I swear we saw her the next day when we got drinks for the pool and her name tag was different from the day before. Though being a young female bartender, I could see maybe wanting some mystery to the public) Anyway she was laid back as a server, let us enjoy our drinks while we decided on food. Great server. We started with the arancini, which were as good as advertised by others, and there were plenty for us to share. We follow up with the panzanella salad and the seasonal pizza. The pizza was great, the crust was obviously fresh, not frozen. And while I loved the lemon and ricotta, w3 did wish the broccolini was cooked a little more. I tried one of their frozen cocktails, the frosé, and we had an order of the arancini for a snack. The frozé was typical and refreshing. The arancini was so tasty I forgot to get a photo first. Our order had 4 large pieces with a side of marinara to dip. The mushroom flavor wasn't overpowering and the cheese mixed through was nice and creamy. The bar service was great and the employees were so kind. It was the hotel pool bar without being in the pool gated area so many people came with walk up orders. It's located on the end of the building with a lot of seating and a nice breeze blowing through. We might find ourselves here again to try more dishes. read more

You do not need to be staying here as it is outside the pool, so no room card access. We have come here a few times and where I do enjoy their food, their cocktails are not just good. I do not understand the hype with this spot for the drinks. This is a table service location, they have seats at the bar, tables and a walk-up area for just drinks. If you are looking for food, you will need to sit down, I don't believe you can get food to go, or I have just never seen anyone do that. It can get really busy at times, but we have usually had really good luck finding a table. My wife and I have been here a few times and have ordered different cocktails each time. Honestly, they are always terrible. For a pool bar, they just cannot make cocktails. This is a full-service bar, so they do have specialty cocktails, some beer, wine and can make different drinks. On our last visit, I chose to try just a Manhattan. I figured everyone can make it; it is a classic cocktail. My wife ordered her favorite cocktail, Lemon Drop Martini. My first issue is both of these drinks were served in a plastic cup. I understand this is a pool bar, but if we are sitting down and not leaving the restaurant, we should get a regular glass cup. My wife's lemon drop was so incredibly sour, her eyes were watering. It was really bad. My Manhattan was also very bad. It also sour, they used the wrong cherries, and it just was not good. My other major issue is these cocktails were incredibly small. It was probably not a normal size pour. My wife was not asked any specific vodka, she actually has never been asked this across Disney. I asked for a specific liquor which again I have had across Disney property. When our bill came, my wife was charged an extra $3 for a different vodka (again she was never asked) and I was charged $6. Her drink came out to $18 and mine $21. We didn't want to make a big deal or issue, but I truly feel if you are going to use a specific liquor to make a cocktail and you DO NOT ask the customer, then use the house liquor. A normal cocktail at Disney is around $14-$18 normally, and again she has had numerous Lemon Drop martinis around property. She has never been asked for a different vodka; it comes in the drink which is usually around $15. To be charged $19 for a TERRIBLE cocktail, unacceptable. I upgraded my liquor but again I have done that all over Disney. I have never been charged an extra $6. Again, to pay almost $21 for a TERRIBLE cocktail, unacceptable. Do better Bar Riva! We decided then, we will never get a cocktail here, beer or wine moving forward if we wanted a drink. The food here however, is actually really good, and the only reason it is getting a higher rating. We have had a few different items on the menu over our many visits here. However, their menu has also been updated in the last few months. I found myself at Bar Riva while at the Riviera Resort waiting for my reservation at Topolino's Terrace. I thought a drink would be a good idea to unwind before dinner, so off we went. Bar Riva is technically a pool bar - it's located adjacent to the pool but has a covered space so you're not all out in the open. It's not a large space, but enough to hold a good amount of people who are at the pool. Color scheme is bright with mostly white walls and touches of blues. As we approached I noticed a few tables as well as the main bar that had seating - we made our way to the bar and started exploring the menu. There are typical bites as one would expect, and a few cocktails. The spiked iced tea was speaking to me, so I decided to go with that. The cocktail was good - it was kinda like a Long Island Iced Tea and had good flavor. The drinks were served in plastic cups which kinda took away from the experience, but it's a pool bar so it's kinda expected. Service was great, the bartender was really friendly and did a great job taking care of everyone despite being by himself. Awful experience the other day. Went on my birthday. We ordered the burger and another meal and drinks. My fries were cold to the touch. I called the server over and had them taken back for fresh ones. Then I tried my burger. Completely cool. I was done. I didn't want any replacement at that point. The manager, Ashley came over and apologized. Yes, offered to replace the meal, but that was it. I didn't want another situation. She removed it from the bill. Gee. Thanks, but still had to go elsewhere for a meal. I expected better compensation than that, but apparently not. My entire experience was ruined. The attitude of the manager was inexcusable. The service was slow compared to the other servers. Just an overall poor experience. But Ashley could have done better. Shameful experience especially for Disney prices. This needs to be addressed. I stopped the first time for a fast drink but when I saw their menu was actually pretty healthy I decided to enjoy a nice crisp amazing salad there instead of eating more of the "bad" options in the parks, one of the best Greek salads I have ever eaten . Great food , terrible service. Even though it's spring break , They aren't crazy busy at all. 2 or 3 open tables when we got here. Told us to stand by an open table and they would be right over to clean it. 15 mins later - after no eye contact from anyone - even though the waitress walked past me a couple times, she finally cleaned it. We sat and then admittedly service improved. Got our drinks and apps in a reasonable time. Then again - nothing !! No one checked back, no one asked how things are or if we wanted another drink. HOP ON THE SKYLINER FOR A NICE LUNCH AT THE RIVIERA RESORT We recently had a weekend lunch at Bar Riva, a casual dining spot at the Disney Riviera Resort. It is a Skyliner stop away from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. We ordered the Burrata Salad with Chicken ($15.99 + $2 chicken), Greek Salad with Chicken ($11.49 + $2 chicken) and Baked Brie ($13.49). I enjoyed the Greek salad but is it a Greek salad if it is made with spring salad greens (and not Romaine)? The grilled chicken breast was tender and juicy. The salad was large enough to share. My friend enjoyed the Burrata Salad on an earlier occasion but said that this day's salad was not as good - bland watery tomatoes, less greens and less confit tomatoes (a favorite). The toasted focaccia was soggy from the tomatoes. I felt $18 was pricey for the meh salad. We agreed that the best dish was the Baked Brie - the cast iron pot kept the cheese hot and gooey and the bottom crispy. Too bad the toasted baguette slices were cold. Be prepared to wait for a seat - Bar Riva is a small place and is popular with resort and park guests. It is also a stop on the so-called Skyliner bar crawl. Hidden gem. While staying at Rivera this week, we appreciate having an open air full service restaurant that you can "come as you are" swimsuit and all. This menu offers all the same as the quick service plus more. I really enjoyed the sticky chicken wings the most followed by spicy Italian sandwich. The grilled chicken sandwich can be a skip (not much flavor). They also offer refreshing draft beer in up-to 22oz, a huge upgrade from the Epcot sizes. Just want an adult bev? We absolutely adore Bar Riva...to the point where even if we are not staying at the Riviera Resort we will still come here to grab a cocktail and have a relaxing evening. The set-up is pretty straight forward as this location does allow you to order grab and go style from the bar or has some limited seating options that are available as first come first serve. We typically end up at the table in the front corner, closest to where you enter closest from the resort style. Long, bench-style seating is available that runs the length of the wall and has charger stations built in so you can boost your battery life. If you grab one of these seating areas a server comes by to take care of all of your beverage and food needs. So far as beverage and food needs, Bar Riva offers a full bar as well as specialty cocktails/mixed drinks, bottled and canned beer, and some great local craft beers on draft along with the standards you'll find anywhere. The atmosphere of this open air bar was wonderful. Its located right by the pool and near the lobby. We purchased drinks and then took them over near the water to enjoy the view. The service was fantastic as they have a little walk up area for to go drinks. There were plenty of options to choose from on their drink menu, we didn't look at the food. read more

This is a really cute place for drinks and quick bites right across from the pool! You can order to go as well as sit down and have table service. The workers were all really friendly! We tried the sticky wings and the mushroom arancini and enjoyed them both. The arancini came with a marinara dipping sauce that complemented them well. The wings were our favorite - they had a really tasty chipotle sauce that was finger-licking good! Would definitely come back to try out different drinks and bites. read more
