Walked in to reserve a table and greeted by an unhappy redhead. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait but so many open tables were in (maybe a staffing issue, on Father's Day) so went to the bar, was barely people at the bar yet waited about 15 minutes before bartender acknowledged us since he was talking to clients on opposite side of bar. Got our table exactly 20 minutes after checking in, the non talkative hostess took us to our table. Waiter very nice. The table we sat at was in a very warm section, our party sat down and uh didn't offer us additional water the entire time we were there. It was hot and I was thirsty and a refill would have been nice. Food was really good, I had a ruben sandwich lots of flavor. Which made up for the ambiance not sure what was going on but I have been to this place many times and never had a bad experience until now. We attended a conference on Thursday and decided to have lunch here since it was within walking distance. Leah was a great server, but the kitchen seemed to be shorthanded. As a result, 3 of us got the food, and the other 3 had tonpack them to go. Convention goers do not have much time for lunch. For that, I should have taken 2 stars away, but Leah saved the day. I'm always happy when a second chance proves that a bad experience can be a one off, and after last night I can happily report that my previous visit was indeed just a bad day. We decided to stop in before the USA vs Paraguay game and not only was the waiter infinitely better, but the food was amazing! I believe our waiter's name was Damien and he was charming, attentive, and really accommodating. It was obviously a busy night given the events throughout the Pointe, but he made sure to not leave us unattended and was quick with refills and requests. We grabbed a pair of Fish and Chips meals for dinner and split a pub poutine and it was all SO good. The fish was cooked perfectly, although a little less crispy than I'd have preferred. Still, it was by far one of the best fish n chips I've had in town for sure. The chips were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The poutine was honestly probably the biggest star of the meal though, the gravy was just packed with flavor and the chips held up so well, not getting too soggy. We'll definitely be back for the next World Cup match and more. We made the mistake of wandering out to another restaurant to catch the match and I wish we'd have stayed. We stopped by here for an early dinner one evening and had a really good experience. Our server was very attentive and friendly. She checked on us when needed, and gave us time to relax and look through the menu between courses. We started off with the pretzels which were good. For meals, my wife had a salad and I had a Rueben. Yeah, not the most "pub like" food on the menu: Mea culpa. That being said, it was cooked perfectly and the fries were good. Ambiance in here was nice. While I've never been to an authentic English pub, seemed to fit the bill for me. My husband and I found ourselves our on an impromptu date night on Friday and originally set of to try out Taffers Tavern but decided after a drink and app to pop in to a few different places for happy hour. I knew I should've left when there was no one at the hostess stand and even the bartender refused to look our way but I REALLY wanted Shepard's Pie. We sat ourselves near another already seated couple waiting to see a server and I went back to the stand and grabbed the menu. When the server finally arrived we placed our order and waited and waited for our pretzels and beer cheese appetizer which took so long my husband wandered to the waitress to cancel his entree. I went to The Pub for St. Patrick's Day and it was packed to high heaven, but somehow they still managed to make the entire experience feel smooth. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted and served right away, and even with how busy it was, the bartenders kept checking in without missing a beat. The energy in there was incredible. The entire place was decked out in St. Patrick's decor, they had Irish dancers, a DJ, and were giving away so much free merch like custom engraved Guinness glasses, shirts, hats, and bottle openers. It honestly felt like a full blown celebration, not just a night out. And I have to say, they handled the crowd really well because it never felt chaotic in a bad way. I ordered the lucky green drink for the day and it was so refreshing and easy to drink. But the real star for me was the Reuben spring rolls. I would go back a million times just for those. They were perfectly crispy and completely stuffed with corned beef, they did not hold back at all. I also took a Reuben sandwich to go for my significant other and it held up great and he loved it. I hate to give a bad review because this place has so much going for it. First, the good: It feels like being transported to Europe and it's a wonderful lively atmosphere especially during a big football (soccer) game. We went during an England vs Mexico World Cup game and it was absolute madness but very cool to see. If you want to see a lively atmosphere during a big game this place delivers. The not so good: We arrived an hour early and we were told that there was an hour wait to get in. There was no room at the bar either. Ok it was a big game night but I had come a few days earlier to scope it out and was told they do not do reservations. I figured an hour before the game would be reasonable but it was way too late to arrive. So in order to get in and get a decent seat we would have had to physically arrive and wait in line for well over 1 hour in advance which is pretty wild. We finally got seated after the hour wait but we were immediately told that the kitchen was behind by an hour. Due to this we couldn't realistically eat there even after all the waiting. I don't think this place is really prepared for a big game night. The bad: As soon as we sat down, I started watching the closest TV and we heard loud cheers in the restaurant that didn't correspond to the game on TV. I looked behind me and realized that all the TVs in the restaurant are completely out of sync - like wildly out of sync. The waitress said our TV was 3 minutes behind the fastest feed. This was completely unacceptable since the cheers from the fastest TV feed completely ruined any sense of anticipation for our TV. We immediately got up and started scouting the TVs around the restaurant. The waitress initially scolded me saying we can't sit anywhere else but we nevertheless abandoned our spot that we waited an hour for. I realized that there are about 3-4 different feeds coming in and the entire left side of the restaurant is way slower. The feeds get faster as you move clockwise from the entrance. We luckily got seats at the bar where one of the fast feeds was visible in the distance and this was good enough I suppose. We wound up getting a beer and a cocktail and both were quite good for what that's worth. If going for a game is your primary focus then just be warned that the technical setup is not optimal and could ruin the whole experience. In my opinion the primary purpose of this place is the soccer game atmosphere and the Pub has a massive shortcoming with out-of-sync TVs that completely ruins the ability to actually watch a big game here. read more

What started out as a nice evening, ended horribly. We were very much aware we were dining on a busy Friday night, but that's no excuse for what happened. We were seated promptly & our server was quick to greet us and get drinks started, however it was downhill from there. After enjoying our starters, we put in our main dish order around 6:30pm. Our server noticed our food hadn't come out and then realized he never put our ticket in. He was very apologetic, but long story short, our food didn't come out till 8:15pm. There was clearly no urgency in the kitchen to correct this and when the food came out, the meals were cold. We asked for the check and were shocked to see that nothing had been taken off to compensate for everything. After speaking with the manager she did comp us for some items, but we were frustrated and disappointed that we even had to ask for that. It was right at the end of their happy hour, and we were able to squeeze in some of the apps and drinks on the menu before it ended. They had lots of different decor on the walls, TVs for shows and sports, and it was clean inside. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had some beers and all shared some appetizers. We really liked the Scotch eggs, fried pickets and goat cheese dip. They were the first to disappear. The pretzel and beer cheese dip was also really good and the buffalo chicken dip. We came back to The Pub during a lunch break from our conference at the Rosen, right across the street. It was a busy lunch rush and a lot of us came pouring in at once... but our group of five got seated right away. We placed our drink and food orders quickly without any trouble. Most of the group ordered appetizers, while a couple went for the fish and chips. I ordered the Pub Poutine and sausage rolls. I also got a Belhaven Scottish Ale... had to raise a glass in memory of a Brother who used to share one with us during times like this. The food and drinks came out in good time, even with the huge crowds. Dominic, who seems to be our server every time we come here, was once again outstanding. He really is the best... friendly, efficient, and somehow always on top of everything. He kept us happy, kept things moving, and helped us finish up on time without ever feeling rushed. There was a mix-up in the kitchen with my order. Dominic let me know right away... the bad news was that they brought me the Pub spring rolls instead of the sausage rolls. The good news was I got to enjoy the spring rolls while they rushed out the sausage rolls. Dominic handled it perfectly... kept the mood light and made sure I didn't feel shorted. The poutine was exactly what I hoped for. I couldn't find it on the online menu, but it came with tender, pot roast... plus the classic squeaky cheese curds and fries underneath. The sausage rolls were the highlight though. Hearty and full of flavor! They came out piping hot and crispy, with a spicy sauce that matched them perfectly. And those surprise Pub spring rolls? A nice extra. Savory and packed with chicken, cheese, and jalapeños... definitely a fun, flavorful bite. Once again, Dominic made the visit a great one. Thanks to him, we always feel like regulars even during the chaos of conference week. We'll be back... and I hope he's our server again next time. read more

The last time I was at The Pub was at the Cleveland airport and I used to get so excited to fly out of there because of it. So while recently visiting Orlando I was pretty excited to go here with my gf after discovering it on Yelp and have some fish and chips and some drinks. It's located at The Pointe which is an awesome area in general for a multitude of activities. I was impressed right off the bat with the overall exterior and interior of this location. It's as close to a real British pub as possible for being newer and a chain. We were greeted by the hostess and we chose to sit at a table in the patio area outside. It was during the solar eclipse so we got to see it while enjoying a beer and cocktail. The hostess and waitress were both lovely and were very attentive and the service was prompt. It was happy hour so we started off with two waters and I ordered a Harp draft beer and my gf ordered the Blue Hawaiian. Both were delicious! We ordered the Reuben Spring Rolls. I rarely if ever eat meat, but I had to have some of these to share and they were beyond the word tasty. We then proceeded to order The Best Fish & Chips in the U.S. to share and I don't know if they were the best I've ever had but they were definitely very good. The tartar sauce and coleslaw were both excellent! The whole ambiance of this place makes you feel like you're in a real British Pub and I love that this place exists. So unfortunately I can't eat anything here. Which ultimately sucks; I came a year ago and the food was fantastic and now since the suppliers have changed I can't eat. I'm upset however I brought my dad here so he could enjoy himself and he is. I ordered a cucumber collins drink for $11. My cucumber collins is really good- we've been sitting for about 48 minutes and have no food. Finally got our food after I came back from the bathroom. Unfortunately I had fries on my plate and the fries are fried and the same as the fish and chips and the fish and chips have egg and Dairy in them. On top of that my dad found a black pubic hair in his salad. We will not be returning here. The ambience of the pub is a Irish pub place. I came here for a team dinner. There was 9 of us and luckily we got one of the tables that could seat all of us at once so we didn't get split up. Our waiter, Breanna, was great. She got us seated, our drinks, and didn't get annoyed when we kept calling her over for requests. The happy hour is pretty decent, but is only from 3 - 6 pm. For drinks, we sort of just got an assortment of drinks. For me I ordered some shots for my coworkers, and also a mixed drink that was on the happy hour menu. For appetizers, I got the haddock bites (happy hour special) and then from the entree I ordered the Shepherd's pie. - Haddock Bites - This was pretty much the fish from fish and chips. The fish was really good! I enjoyed it a lot, well fried and the fish itself was moist. - Shepherd's Pie - This was alright. I enjoyed it, but I felt like it wasn't super filled. Even in the rain, we found time to stop at a really nice 'Pub" in Orlando. The spot was really nice.. Great selection of restaurants in the area and outdoor ambiance. Walking in, the place looks like the coolest Pub around! Had the feel of being in London and the service at our table was great! The Bar there also looks absolutely inviting and fun to hand around and grab a brew or my new found favorite, An Old Fashioned!!!
