If you go here, double check that they replaced what they said they replaced. Ask for your old parts. If you don't have the smarts to catch them you might be getting screwed.

First night we had it the next morning there was oil in the driveway also took on a drive to Saginaw which was our furthest drive with it and noticed after a longer drive that the engine would slightly rev before shifting which did not happen during our shorter test drive we contacted the sales person and they are not willing to do anything even though just purchased 2 days prior I took to a garage to get it checked they raised vehicle up and had me take pictures underneath of all the wetness they told me where the oil and transmission fluid is leaking from and gave me a written receipt of the issues and stated that there is no way that they could not have known because this is something that has been leaking for a while not just something that started the day we bought it and the shifting issue could be because of the leak as it is losing trans fluid We have tried to see if they are willing to help make this right but the salesman told my girlfriend its sold as is. This does not look good on them they say they are a good honest company but it does not appear that they care at all about their customers just making a sale, As well as posting on here to let people know we are also going to make sure to post on all social media pages that we are on and also let friends and family know by word of mouth to make it known so people don't make the mistake of going here as we do not want people to have to go through the same situation as well as contacting the better business bureau and giving them the photos from under the vehicle and the written paperwork from the other shop that checked it out it is a shame because we like the vehicle but want it to be a good family car for us but they just dont care to help.

After having to call them near the end of the day for an update (they didn't reach out), they informed me that my vehicle needed a $3,700 repair. I approved the work and waited nearly a week for completion. Upon pickup, the same burning odor persisted in the cab. I had to return the truck and leave it again. Their response? The first expensive repair wasn't actually the problem, and I needed an additional $1,100 worth of work - with no guarantee this would resolve the issue. Needing my vehicle for work, I reluctantly approved this second repair. When my husband went to pick up the truck after this second round of repairs, it wouldn't even start and had engine warning lights on. Their response was dismissive despite the fact I'd just spent nearly $5,000 and my truck still wasn't operational. Their solution was simply that they 'needed to diagnose the problem some more.' At this point, I've paid thousands for incomplete repairs, lost valuable time without my vehicle, and received poor communication throughout the process. My exhaust pipe was falling off and dragging under my car for a day or two, and when the…read moredragging/scraping was more than I could handle, I called these guys up. They said to bring my car right in, and within 5 minutes of arriving, they had my car in the shop. I had told the gentleman at the desk that I didn't get paid until the next day and wouldn't be able to afford any big fixes today. He understood and went to take a look at my car. There was no muffler, and the exhaust all the way up to the catalytic converter needed replacing, at over $400. He handed me the quote, and said that they removed the part of the exhaust that was dragging and put a bracket on what was left to keep it in place until repairs could be made. When I asked how much it cost for that much, he said 'absolutely nothing. We did it out of the kindness of our hearts." What began as a stressful morning turned into a Godsend. I will be returning to get my car repaired once I've got the money. I trust these guys and appreciate the kindness they showed me.

There is a widespread misconception that foreign and/or luxury vehicles can only be properly maintained or repaired by their respective dealerships. It may be true that some repair shops do not possess the specialized skills and tools necessary to care for these vehicles. However, Tuffy's in Mount Pleasant has provided superior and inexpensive service for my fastidious Land Rover LR2. On my most recent visit, I had extensive work done to my rear differential, the radiator replaced, coolant leaks repaired, spark plugs replaced, the fuel injection system cleaned, the front differential inspected, an oil change performed and a light replaced. The most commendable aspect of the recent service is that they were unwavering in their price, despite numerous unforeseen setbacks and uncovering of additional damaged parts. They, unquestionably, took a significant financial loss to the tune of hundreds of dollars (possibly $1,000+) in the course of the above repairs. They wrote-off in excess of $800 in parts that were later found to be in need of repair, provided probably about 5 times the amount of labor billed for, waived many diagnosis fees and threw in a few of the smaller items for free. The above repairs cost me about $1750, but I am confident that Land Rover would have charged me in excess of $4,000 for the same repairs. Historically, there have been other repairs that I got done at Tuffy for 50% or less of what Land Rover quoted me. My experience with Land Rover Farmington Hills, on the other hand, has not been favorable. When I had a faulty PCV valve that resulted in a horrifically loud and high-pitched screech (but only after driving for 1-2 hours), they threw thousands of dollars of new parts at it while charging extensive diagnostic fees, only to have the problem unresolved. They had the vehicle for over 3.5 weeks time, would rarely return my calls, and never drove it enough for the symptom to present. Eventually, I brought it in to them after the symptom presented, but it took a collaboration of 3-4 technicians there to be able to figure out what the problem was.
