My exhaust pipe was falling off and dragging under my car for a day or two, and when the dragging/scraping was more than I could handle, I called these guys up. They said to bring my car right in, and within 5 minutes of arriving, they had my car in the shop. I had told the gentleman at the desk that I didn't get paid until the next day and wouldn't be able to afford any big fixes today. He understood and went to take a look at my car. There was no muffler, and the exhaust all the way up to the catalytic converter needed replacing, at over $400. He handed me the quote, and said that they removed the part of the exhaust that was dragging and put a bracket on what was left to keep it in place until repairs could be made. When I asked how much it cost for that much, he said 'absolutely nothing. We did it out of the kindness of our hearts." What began as a stressful morning turned into a Godsend. I will be returning to get my car repaired once I've got the money. I trust these guys and appreciate the kindness they showed me. read more

Charged $210 to "fix" my expedition, said it needed an idle air control valve, the problem wasn't fixed, then they tried to sell me a tune up, wouldn't acknowledge that they messed up, and offered NO remedy, they don't have a clue on diagnostic or repairing vehicle's, they stole my money and left me in the same situation as I started, I highly recommend YOU STAY AWAY from Muffler Man in Midland Michigan read more

I was having problems with my muffler for a few years even after I've had it replaced and worked on several times - it was so nice to have them not only fix it to where it's now quiet and solid feeling - these guys had it done in an afternoon as promised and that's awesome! Took my car in to have the muffler looked at since it was beginning to sound like a plane ready for take off. I went early in the morning to ensure that I would be one of the first few and was surprised to that I was the only one there. So they immediately took the car into the port and within 20 minutes my car was purring like a kitten! The service from the guys was as good as one would hope. They were friendly and never once made me feel "dumb" and didn't try to pull anything just because I was a a girl. Also, they all smiled! My van had much of the exhaust just fall apart this morning, creating a thunderous cacophony in my cabin. The flex pipes on my car failed, so I went to Muffler Man in Midland, MI. They replaced them with a smaller diameter pipe because they didn't have the correct size in stock. I didn't have a problem with that. Within 6 months, some of their welds failed, and they touched it up with no problem. About a year after my first visit when I had the parts replaced, the driver side flex pipe has failed leaving me with a terrible exhaust leak. I went back to Muffler Man and they refused to warranty their parts because I do not have my copy of the receipt. I took for granted that they would have a copy stored, and unless I can come up with the exact date and dollar amount, they will not bother their "bookkeeper" to find the transaction on their end. It was pouring down rain and my windshield wiper wouldn't move. I thought Muffler Man might be able to help me. WOW! They put my car in the garage in less then 10 minutes and within another 10 minutes they had it fixed and ready to go! I was a loose nut for the wiper arm. Not a big deal for them but just the opposite for me. So, when I asked how much I was told nothing. They fixed it for free! My car's muffler started getting noisy over the past week. Called first to make an appointment, but they don't do appointments. First-come-first-serve. So, I dropped it off early in the morning (8:30). They had it in the garage before my ride came to pick me up and within 20 minutes had called to tell me what they'd found. They gave me my options from the low-end to high-end options. I chose the middle ground and they let me know up front how much it would cost (cost was what I was expecting). They had it repaired within 2 hours of dropping it off and they fixed the problem! Overall extremely satisfied and will do business with again. All of the employees were friendly. read more
