Wow. Life saver. Sanity solution. I have spent the last two months trying to complete my registration with the DMV to no avail. I had one renewal that was lost in the mail, and the wait times for the phone lines are horrendous. I wasn't eligible for online registration because I was too far overdue--they sent a notice to an old address that was updated for my license, but not my mailing address . Rose City got me a same day appointment on no advance notice, processed my renewal and handed me my new tags and registration on the spot. In quarantine we have had to Learn how to get things done without access to the normal resources, and normally that means not getting things done in person. This is one solution that's may seem contrary because you're walking into a building instead of doing it through the mail or phone, but everything gets done immediately. And with the way many government services are backlogged or overwhelmed, this is one instance where paying a little bit more to contract the services from a local business is worth the cost. read more

Highly recommend Rose City Registration and Ed if you're looking to get your vehicle registration done quickly! I'm always strapped for time and thinking about having to wait in line at the DMV was anxiety inducing. I needed to register my out of state vehicle that had its registration expiring this month. Went to quickly get a smog test down the street and then decided I wanted to get everything done the same day. My boyfriend called and immediately got an answer from Ed. We got all of our questions answered and Ed told us to come on in that same day. In total, the whole process took 1 hr (from the time we called to the time we got home). He was able to change my car's NPO status and give me an incomplete registration (no smog, no insurance, just a report of deposit of fees for registration) which is just enough of a valid registration that Carmax needed to buy my car off of me. I needed to register my car from out-of-state. While getting everything together for the dreaded trip to the DMV, I discovered this third-party registration service. I didn't receive my registration due to a change of address. I tried this place and was in and out in less than 15 minutes. No long wait at the DMV! There is a charge for the service but it's well worth it to not have to wait. They give you all your paperwork and stickers and you are on your way. There's also a smog station right there in case you have to take care of that. read more
