Online I had started the process of a real ID and I was unable to complete it because for some reason online was not approving all of the required papers. I made an appointment to go online to the Glendale branch. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was able to check in on my phone. I was called within five minutes of my check-in time. I proceeded to the window and asked the employee if I could also do the real ID as well as my drivers license renewal and vision test and she said no problem. She handled everything right at the desk within just a few minutes. I paid my renewal fee and then proceeded to take my photo. Every employees that I interacted with was extremely friendly and efficient. As awful as DMV's are known for being I had a fantastic seamless experience!

The second and last time I came here was a different story. There was a female employee who was yelling at people and pointing for them where to go. So unprofessional. When it came to my turn, I was confused to where she was pointing at and yelling at me where to go since she was behind the desk but she continued to just yell louder and give me attitude like I was a back in grade school. I'm a substitute teacher and I don't even talk to my students that way. I went up to her to ask her a question and she just gives me attitude back again. The other employee next to her was more patient and professional. But my goodness I've never had to deal with such a rude, unprofessional employee anywhere before. The whole DMV was just chaotic. I typically go to the one in Arleta and it's much more organized no matter how packed it gets. Definitely won't be back there again.

The staff here were efficient and pleasant to interact with during my visit. - - - - - - Like most DMVs I've visited, this location doesn't have the most convenient entrance /exit to the adjacent street. Overall, there were no signs of what to do or where to go, so make sure to ask around. No appointment? Walk all the way in and queue up. Visiting on a weekday afternoon at 4:10pm, I was able to get seen within 20 minutes (!) after receiving a number. Other than the difficulty finding the queues, there isn't quite "good" organization here. I would describe the location of each service as fairly chaotic, though the nice part is the waiting area is together, and the windows are on the sides. Once you figure out the process, though, its buttery smooth.

After I pickup my supra I noticed the exhaust sound wasn't consistent which Flow Master and lifted the car to discover a generic no brand muffler and very poor welded job. When I confronted Omar, he said that despite my muffler not saying it was a Flow Master. I called Flowmaster the company to confirm, and they let me know they do not create Flowmaster mufflers without the Flowmaster brand emblem. Advance Muffler also had installed a 'magma flow" muffler on my son's Acura Integra a few months back so I also lifted his car to find that his muffler was also generic with no brand markings. I spoke to Omar about the situation and he refunded my Supra install and stated he is not a muffler guy and didn't know. I believe this shop often claims to sell you brand name mufflers, like Flowmaster at a premium price and installs generic no name mufflers not expecting customers to ever check.

Anyone who builds off-road vehicles knows that finding the right shop is a niche and personal choice--you want a team you can trust with your rig. I had originally received a quote from a shop in San Diego, but when I realized there was a shop right here in my own backyard in Burbank, I wanted to try and keep my business local. I reached out and sent them the itemized list of work from the previous shop to see what they could do. What followed was some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced. The guy who called me back came out swinging, practically yelling at me over the phone. He was incredibly defensive, snapping, "Just so you know, we are $275 an hour for labor, and I see you cut this invoice out from someone else's estimate. We are more expensive than them." He sounded deeply insecure and visibly furious that a customer would dare to shop around for the best fit. He later left a voicemail asking me to call back. When I did, a different guy answered the phone and spoke to me like I was a debt collector harassing him. When I answered his question about who I was looking for and our previous conversation, he rudely interrupted me mid-sentence, blurting out, "OKAY, WELL I HAVE ANOTHER CALL SO..." and literally just trailed off into silence. I just hung up. Why would I ever let people who treat human beings this way get anywhere near my vehicle? How does a business survive operating like this? I had a $12,000 job ready to go for tire replacements, a suspension overhaul, front bumper replacement, roof rack and heavy maintenance work. Instead of securing a massive project, these clowns let their egos and hostile communication skills ruin the transaction. Out of principle, take your hard-earned money and your rig somewhere else. Go to a shop where people actually practice basic kindness, respect, and professional communication. The way this entire crew came across was like a bunch of snakes. Save yourself the headache and go to another off-road establishment. And know that this place charges an hourly labor rate of $275 an hour.
