Everyone was lovely and friendly. We did a "knee to knee" visit, and before you ask, yes, my 14 month old has an obscene amount of teeth and our pediatrician recommends taking them around 1. There were some tears but Dr. Eaton was quick with his exam and so kind. We look forward to building a relationship with this practice for years to come. One note, they are out of network for all and we prepaid. I don't blame them one bit, but I know that's a turnoff/ hard for some people. For our insurance this just means that Dr. Eaton's office files for us and our insurance pays us directly for the rates they cover. We prepay for services and sometimes it costs a little extra for us out of pocket. Practices often do this because constantly fighting with the insurance company to get paid what they're worth could easily be a job for a full time person and small practices are often pressured to cut their rates unsustainably to stay in "good graces" with your insurance company (I'm someone who use to have to do legal work for insurance companies). This might not be how your insurance works, but I thought it might be helpful for some of you considering it. For what it's worth, I think Dr. Eaton and his team are worth every penny!

I could have chosen a family dentist for my whole family, but I knew that I did not want my kids dealing with a tech who just worked on a grumpy adult. Dr. Eaton and his staff are magic makers! Seriously! My kids LOVE LOVE LOVE going to the dentist, even on Halloween. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. They walk the kids through everything they plan to do. They ask permission from parents before doing anything like xrays or fluoride treatments. The charges are very reasonable to the point where my insurance covers it all. We have had to only preventive care, but have also have had to have cavities filled and teeth pulled (small jaws). Everyone is so caring and makes sure that the patient is comfortable and that the parent is at ease. I HIGHLY recommend this practice!

They said they wouldn't be able to do a cleaning as I needed a "deep cleaning" over two more sessions and I would have to pay without insurance. The dental hygienist was rude and condescending, after an hour with no progress, I ended up leaving and made an appointment elsewhere. At the other dental office I asked about a deep cleaning, they showed me on my x-rays why that wasn't necessary, and provided a normal cleaning. Great Expressions feels like a corporate money grab machine with rotating employees who care nothing for their costumers.

Review for Great Expressions Dental Centers - Tucker…read more I visited Great Expressions Dental Centers in Tucker on February 12, 2025, for an appointment at 10:00 AM, with my daughter scheduled shortly after at 11:50 AM as a new patient. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to poor organization and lack of professionalism. During my visit, I only received X-rays and a dental treatment plan, while my daughter was supposed to have a cleaning in addition to her new patient exam. My exam ran over into my daughter's appointment time, and I had to get the hygienist's attention to go check on her. I also noticed that the hygienist spent most of her time gossiping with the tech conducting the second part of my X-rays, which seemed unprofessional and distracted. After waiting for an hour, I was informed by the hygienist that they were just about to start my daughter's cleaning, but I couldn't stay due to work. The office then attempted to reschedule me for the next day after apologizing for the delay. To make matters worse, my daughter--who only received X-rays--is now being billed for fluoride varnish, a service that was never provided. What I was initially told in-office does not match what I am now being charged for on my statement. Overall, the office was disorganized, and the dentist herself had poor bedside manners, coming across as cold and unapproachable. This was not the professional or patient-focused experience I expected, and I would not recommend this location.

I would have hoped that since we have always been in good standing and have shared this business with friends on many occasions, that we would have received more grace that what has been given. This dental office stopped taking my insurance in April of 2025. When I called to ask about my astronomical billing for July (cleanings/xrays for $344.50 per child) , I was told that I "probably" received something to let me know. Are they required to do this? Maybe not, but isn't is ethical to do so? When they called to confirm the appts I made in January when I was still insured, could they have mentioned that they no longer accept Metlife? I believe so, if they cared about their patients and the financial burden this places on a family. I have asked for documentation and some sort of explanation and have received nothing in return. Silence. I am hoping that someone else will read this and double check with insurance before your next appointment. As for me, we will no longer be using them and I will let everyone I know how little care was taken in this matter and how disappointed I am in the way that this was handled.

We know it takes time to unload a car with young children in fair weather much less rain, clearly she arrived on time, true grace is what was needed in that moment. As a business owner myself, I respect policy, but courtesy and compassion especially toward longstanding clients is not asking too much. As a consumer I believe in reciprocity, I value my family and expect respectful treatment from the businesses I support, therefore I will choose to take my family elsewhere for their dental needs. Don't get fooled with the teddy bear they give you on your first appointment they don't care nor do they offer grace.

I mean I would understand him not being able to walk but my baby was incoherent while I was carrying him out the building. I would lift his arm in the air and it would immediately fall like dead weight. Not sure why the dentist chose to not care about the wellbeing of my son AT ALL. Let me ask all the other parents whose child had a procedure done at the SAME dentist office.... HOW did they put your baby to sleep???? They had my son sit on my lap and face towards me then they walked up behind him and gave him a shot in the back of his shoulder that put him to sleep .... For a procedure that might have taken 20 minutes. He woke up that night & vomited twice but seemed to be physically okay in the morning, BUT MENTALLY they scarred my baby. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to grown adults, so I damn sure wouldn't recommend it to a scared child who was being forced to do the procedure without the presence of his mother.... AND LET ME JUST SAY.... I GENUINELY BELIEVE THE GOOD REVIEWS FROM THIS DENTIST ARE FAKE ... THATS HOW HORRIBLE MY EXPERIENCE WAS. THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT GOOD WITH CHILDREN NOR DO THEY MAKE YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE OR "AT HOME"

Got scammed. I was told I had to pay for anesthesia upfront and I could bill it back to my…read moreinsurance as it was 80% covered in network and I was at an in-network provider. Well, turns out the anesthesiologist is out of network and I'll never see that money again. Additionally I was not allowed to stay with my child and was pressured to either cancel the procedure ($750 in the hole having paid for the anesthesiologist up front) or leave my child alone and scared to be sedated because there's a nationwide ketamine shortage and parents are allowed to wait with children if it's ketamine but NOT allowed if it's NOT ketamine?? Sedation is sedation. I get that these professionals need to do their jobs without hysterical parents interfering, but I need to be able to comfort my child while they're being sedated to avoid PTSD from this dental visit. A very kind woman explained the "Ketamine rule" to me AFTER my I was separated from my crying child, and at no time before or during was that explained. As I was calmly and politely requesting to stay with my child and hold hands during the sedation, I was intimidated and threatened with loss of money and services if I didn't cooperate, at the expense of my child's health and well-being. Had this not been a critical service that I had already paid a hefty sum for, I would've left. Instead, I calmly cooperated and allowed them to complete the work they were scheduled to perform. They had me in a difficult position and exploited that. I was told if I wanted to hold my child's hand, I needed to leave and schedule a hospital procedure. There was no children's hospital in network that does sedation and dentistry- hence the name of this practice - "Center for Pediatric Dental Sedation". At a different practice, I was allowed to stay with my child for a similar procedure, just not at this practice. Had to fill out several forms about how I needed to consent to have my child restrained, coerced, put in time-out etc. in order to sedate them, when it seems easier to just let me hold her hand and comfort her. They crank up the TV in the lobby and a radio on the other side of the lobby door to drown out the other children screaming in terror. Seriously. The children have to do this alone without their parents to comfort them. Additionally the forms mention nitrous oxide several times and when I made a request, was told they don't use it at all. They need to update their forms to remove it, and don't list it as an option. I also requested composite fillings instead of silver, and after debating the merits with me for ~5 minutes, told me that they actually don't even have composite, only silver. We could've saved ourselves some time if they just told me that up front. The conversation was pointless. I called my insurance company to process the sedation claim and was told, after the insurance company called the provider, that I basically got scammed. The estimated service itemized treatment plan listed the sedation ($750 upfront) on the estimate date and the final cost on the procedure date did not list the sedation so I don't have a procedure to link to the sedation, which my insurance company told me was a "massive red flag" and will not be reimbursed. The insurance representative was honestly angry on my behalf. Dr. Oh was pleasant and patient. Dr. Polk the anesthesiologist was intimidating, indifferent and cold. The staff was sympathetic and kind but not upfront about the insurance and the ability to stay with my child. The procedure needed to be done for my child's health and well-being, and I'm glad it's over and done with. I will not visit this practice again and will seek out a different provider in the future.

She was able to effectively find and treat a problem in one of my molars. My review has more to do with the office policies and the staff. So, I went for my first appointment and I was very happy, then I was referred to an endodontist and he was also very professional. I was scheduled with Gwinnett Family Dentistry (GFD) for a second appointment to finally get a crown in my molar, so they call me (GFD) and schedule my appointment, very nice lady, never mentioned any of their policies regarding changes or cancellations. On a Thursday, i receive a confirmation call from GFD and again, the nice lady never mentioned any of their policies or how long the procedure will take. So I confirm that I'm attending to my appointment, thinking that the procedure will take about an hour like in my first appointment, but what do I know??.. I'm just the patient who's never ever had a crown treatment before. So I call the day of my appointment, which was Monday, around 7:30-ish... I get Ingrid on the phone and I ask her how long is the treatment going to take? and she says "2 hours", and obviously I had no idea of the length because I was never informed. So I panic and I tell her that I can't make it because of work, I didn't know it would take 2 hours, and I have to reschedule..... I understand that I'm calling at the last minute, BUT.. Aren't they (GFD) supposed to inform you of these details before your actual appointment?? Anyways, she tells me there is a cancellation fee, and I tell her that I'm NOT cancelling, I'm rescheduling because I was not informed that the procedure would take that long. So she insists that is the same because is in the same day, less than 48 hours before my appointment. I get very upset, and I tell her that if they charge me a cancellation fee I will go to another dentists, obviously Ingrid doesn't care. She tell me that the administrator will be at their office the next day and she will call me... After a few minutes I call back and ask Ingrid how much the cancellation fee is?.... And her answer????.... " I don't know, the admin will call you tomorrow"... that never happened.... A week after, I receive a bill from them, it's only for $15, the original amount was $50 but after some credit they made I only "have" to pay $15, NOT my point... So my problem is..... Ingrid, works in that office, SHE tells me about the cancellation fee, but she doesn't know the amount.... So, how am I supposed to know about their policies if they never ever EVER mentioned them to me, the policies are not in their website and I was never informed by any of their staff, not when I scheduled my appointment and not when the nice lady called me to confirm my appointment.... But I have to know them????? Can someone please tell me what is the logic here????

The first visit, I scheduled for my kids' cleaning (due to our former dentist no longer taking our insurance). Upon arrival, I was there 15min early. I was given forms that I already completed and filled out online. The lady at the front desk was very rude and did not appropriately run my insurance, which caused a 45min delay. Once that was cleared up, I was not issued an apology, I was asked to reschedule, because it was an hour past the appointment time, and they were unable to see my children. Upon the second visit, I was quickly greeted, and the staff and doctor were great! However, I again, had to fill out the forms I previously filled out a third time. However, we were in and out with their cleanings, X-rays, and assessments. Ms. Cookie was our hygienist, and my son has asked for her several times since that appointment! She was very attentive, personable, professional, and explained the process each step of the way. The third visit, we arrived 15min early to our 9am appointment, with 2-3 families ahead of us in the waiting area. All of the families were taken back around 9:30 as a group, and then dispersed per the necessary treatment. We waited an additional 40min until my son was seen to receive his treatment. I encourage management to stop overbooking while short staffed. The staff are clearly overwhelmed and unhappy with conditions due to the workload and patience required to deal with upset people all day. The level of professionalism and side comments to patients and guests about their experience as employees is impertinent. Patients' time is not considered, and it truly makes me want to find another dental office because it is such a chaotic environment.
