I needed an affordable place to receive dental care, and this wasn't it. Their website says "we work with you, we are affordable don't worry, make an appointment" At my first appointment they did a bunch of X-rays. And then the dentist came in and said my teeth were too bad to clean today and that my bite was messed up and I needed Invisalign. I politely explained that I wasn't going to be able to afford Invisalign, and she said "don't worry we can open up a credit line", as if I was just dying to go into debt over dental luxuries I can't afford. They printed out a treatment plan, and scheduled me a cleaning. The office manager person walked me through the bullet points and had me sign it. It was very expensive even after the discount I bought for $99. Hundreds of dollars for the cleaning, and thousands for the cavity fillings. I haven't had a proper cleaning in a couple years and I really wanted to get one done so I sucked it up and scheduled it. I said "let's just do the cleaning for now" and they once again offered me a credit line. On the cleaning day, they did a deep clean and got underneath my gums and I'm glad they did that. It wasn't horrendously painful but I was having discomfort and I could tell the hygienist was getting frustrated by me. I was trying my hardest to sit still and follow instructions and it definitely felt like she had zero patience. Too much liquid filled up my throat and I coughed and she was upset because I might spit on her or something. At the end she requested a 4 month follow up , and I said I probably wouldn't be able to afford another cleaning for a while, and she told me how irresponsible that was. Like obviously I would love more regular dental care. It ended with her reminding me once again they could open up a credit line. It really felt like they were trying to get me to go into debt over the dental care and it seems like they're trying to trick and extract money from low income patients who don't know better. They really were advising me to go thousands of dollars in debt on Invisalign. As for the cavities, a local family dentist office nearby me offered to fill those cavities for around 1/4 the cost Affordable Dental Care Quoted. Paid $4000+ to Affordable Dental Care in Lilburn for 1 implant in 2022. Cap was glued on--not screwed on--and came off September 2025. Implant caps should last a MINIMUM of 10 years. BAD ETHICS AND FRAUD. Staff was fine, doctor was fine. What wasn't fine was that I "did not qualify" for that $99 teeth cleaning that I already paid for. I have been routinely seeing a dentist twice a year since I was a child. I don't smoke, I maintain my teeth at home, I have good genetics, my oral health is great. Not at Affordable Dental Care. Before I could have my REGULAR teeth cleaning, I had to have a FULL GUM DEBRIDEMENT, a procedure I'd never heard of before because it was never mentioned to me before, BECAUSE I'VE NEVER NEEDED IT BEFORE. The estimate was several hundred dollars. I left with nothing except some needless X-rays on record (I assume) that showed healthy teeth and gums and nothing else. The doctor insisted I pay for this debridement before I could receive the general teeth cleaning that I'd initially paid for. Needless to say, I sought out an ACTUAL dental office and sure enough, I received my regular exam and teeth cleaning, without a prior full-mouth debridement, without any MENTION of a full-mouth debridement, just as I should have at Affordable Dental Care. More than the loss of my hard-earned money, more than the blatant scam of their advertised "extra special,"I'm VERY UPSET about Affordable Dental Care recommending unnecessary procedures. A full mouth debridement is extreme for someone with excellent oral health, but what if I didn't have a healthy mouth? What other needless procedures would they recommend?? Needless root canals?? Teeth pulling?? This isn't just about hard-earned money, this is about ETHICS and medical FRAUD. BEWARE OF AFFORDABLE DENTAL CARE. They will lie to you only for money. I would do 5 stars but the receptionist in the front has a really bad attitude for no reason. Everytime i went up to her she would roll her eyes. Other than that Doctor Shim was absolutely amazing! My procedure was to take 4 of my wisdom teeth out and and extra one that was bothering me. I got all 5 removed in 10 min. The numbing took about 30 min. My appt was at 3 pm and I was finished by 3:50. Absolutely will recommend them. Dr made sure I was not in pain throughout and if I was he would stop immediately to take care of that need. I gave them the details of when I called and sent the referral. The person I spoke with said there were no providers in the office. They put me on hold and transferred me to the office manager without saying anything. They were friendly but they did not help me for what I came in for. The front desk will tell you anything to get you in the door. When you get to the back you will see the hygienist ( dental assistant) she was very knowledgeable helpful and nice. But the dentist fell short of my expectations. He didn't address my concerns as promised an had his opinions as to what absolutely had to be done regardless of what I was asking and suggested. Refused to do anything the way I was asking about and didn't even want to listen to my concerns. I will not be coming back here. Especially when I had a appt at 3 but got to the back 1 hour and a half later. Then had to wait on the dentist for another hour. I got out of there after 4 hours and they charged me $99 for xrays and a exam that did me absolutely no good. I have been coming to Dr. Gudipati for about 5 years now and he is an amazing dentist, a good listener and always helpful with your dental needs. Unfortunately, I have to give a lower rating for his really crappy office staff (Not the hygentist nor assistants, they are great too). They do good work but referred me to Dr. Alan Tucker for oral surgery in which I was charged $210 in cash for two xrays in one month!! There's more to that story..you can read it in my reviews. Not only did they refer me to him, they had no problems with him charging me additionally for a second xray. Dr Tucker stating that the xrays taken at affordable dental were "not good enough". I contacted affordable after my appointment with the oral surgeon and they told me my xrays were fine they don't know why the oral surgeon said he couldn't see my teeth well it's probably something he does "for xtra money" is what the receptionist at affordable Dental tells me! Unbelievable!! This may not be a big deal for some, but I had no insurance at the time so all of my dental work was being paid for with cash. Even after all of this, I tried to get a resolution on the extra charge for the additional xray and they didn't want to help me in any way and could care less. After all of this, I left this dental practice and found a new one that's amazing. If you decide to go here and are referred to their oral surgeon, watch how they operate because even with insurance you'll end up having to pay for a additional xray as insurance only covers one xray every 6 months. read more

If you've never been to any other dentist, this place may seem okay. But as someone who used to go to another place, this place is awful and is a scam. First off, they take a million X rays. All that exposure cannot be good. They took at least 20 and my old place had perfectly great images with just 2 or 3 bursts. It's also super uncomfortable, the inside of my moth still hurts 3 days later. I was supposed to go for x rays and a cleaning, but after waiting a long time I only got X rays, they told me the hygienist was "too busy" to do my clean. What's the point of having an appointment then? This was after one person told me I need to get my wisdom teeth removed although they haven't come up yet. This place is a billing mill, they also charge a lot compared to other dental places out of pocket. I luckily have insurance but when I saw the prices, I was shocked at how they call themselves affordable. Most other places are more affordable than this one. After two or three conversations with their staff, creating an appointment, filling out all the new patient documents online, emailing them other documents, and going over my entire insurance plan, I get to the appointment and the receptionist says that I have used all of my dental benefits for the year. I have not seen a dentist in 2 years so I could not have used all the benefits for the year. Secondly, she then said that they do not take Medicare PPO and I would have to be self pay. So which was it? Had I used all my benefits for the year or do they not take Medicare? Also, the building is in bad shape. It is in need of repair and painting. It was not very attractive at all. I had to call out work a few times to visit the ER, and I have no insurance. I called around in the entire Norcross area. Either people were rude or prices were outrageous. I hadn't been to the dentist in years due to lack of insurance, but my exam was affordable and the anxiety I had beforehand was immediately relieved by how welcoming and nice the receptionist, assistant and doctor were. The staff was amazing. The doctor was friendly and so helpful. Throughout my exam he explained everything clearly and his assistant sat down with me after and explained the next treatments I needed with their pricing. When I expressed concern about the prices she gave me all the info I needed to apply for a Care card to be able to afford it. They had me laughing and I felt at ease. The staff is awesome!! The are patient and kind. The work hard to make sure you are comfortable and at ease. The doctors are very knowledgeable and make sure you understand your options for care. They are great at keeping you at ease throughout your procedures. What I appreciate most, they will let you know if a procedure is not needed.
