Have been to Rose Marie a couple of times. First for dinner, and recently for brunch. We shared several plates, and throughly enjoyed everything. The patty melt was a standout, and we loved the Hashbrown -- crispy and with a delicious sauce. The fried green tomato sandwich was great (we added bacon), but it was cumbersome to eat. Drinks were good, too, but I wish they had espresso for either an espresso martini or just a latte! Will be back! read more

This place is a Williamsburg gem. There are a few of these cutie spots off Lorimer, but not a ton. This place is the perfect spot for a ton of occasions - HH, girls night, date night, solo hang at the bar? This place has you covered. My friends and I snagged spots at the bar and it was a great experience front start to end. I tried the tomato martini, it was great, but I personally prefer a regular dirty martini. My friends preferred this one so it's worth a try if you're a martini person. For food - split the tuna melt and gem salad and it was a perfect amount of food. Finished the night with an Illogical Conclusion IPA. Service was great and staff was friendly. Will definitely be returning! read more

Super cute spot I don't know what it is about this place that gives you this old school vibe but it's super comfortable. Service was very attentive, I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu because everyone was very happily indulging in their food. I had a yuzu spritz and the patty melt. I could hands down have 3 of each, but specifically to call out the bread of the patty melt - takes me back To the best grilled cheese I've ever had. Started off with Strawberry soda, tasted delicious, it tasted like they used the strawberry syrup from some cocktail and added soda to it. Started off with an off menu special (you can check their Instagram to know what they are), which was a bonny melon, with pickled banana peppers and ham. It was delicious in a vinaigrette but reminded me a bit of an Italian hero. Still delicious. The loaded potatoes were fine. The potatoes were well fried and it was loaded either way sour cream and bacon bits, but wish there was a bit more flavor. Would probably pass on this one. Patty Melt was solid, well made, nothing too out of the ordinary. Fried flounder was good, liked the sauce on top. Overall a good meal. I don't think anything will blow you away but it was solid all around. We sat at the bar (we walked in) but service was still great. Casual ambiance, it's mostly a place you can chat and rest. read more

I dream of Rose Marie! I have been anxiously awaiting the second location from the fave go to San Antonio spot, Yellow Rose. The time has finally arrived. The look of this place is almost modern day, cozy cottage with stunning murals done by Welsh artist, Jamie Morrison. We were lucky to sit in the back with the murals and it also felt more intimate. Perfect for a little date night. Started with the "disco romano and community loaf with whipped butter". Great for soaking later sauces. Rose Marie knows how to do beans! We ordered the "Campo Rosso sprouting cauliflower with Caballero beans." Wow! Such a delicate flavor. Giving that platform to local, seasonal and/or high quality ingredients. The bread came handy for soaking every bit of sauce in this dish. The "Little Gems" salad was perfectly dressed and very refreshing. The fresh herbs hit it out the park for me. Tarragon with the candied walnuts and a bit of ricotta was the perfect bite. My boyfriend is obsessed with the "Patty Melt" and has not stopped raving about it. For my entrée I ordered the "Saltine Crusted Snapper"! Holy Smokes! Perfection! and then the steamed broccolini with the remoulade. I was in heaven. I did share a little nibble with my boyfriend. He loved it. We could not resist the semolina cake with the strawberry ice cream and macerated strawberries. The taste of summer, right here. Personally the cocktails are always a must! Underwhelmed for a Michelin mentioned restaurant. Food was good but not amazing. My patty melt was very burnt/black. Surprised they served it that way. Sent back and they made another. Chef apologetic. But Would expect the kitchen or staff to remake before I had to ask. Menu very small. Limited wine choices. And not a lot of cocktail options besides what they have on the menu. Also staff was nice. But everything was just odd. The vibe seemed off. And there were some slightly drunk people at the bar. Which was obvious with a small restaurant. So that threw off the experience as well. Just disappointed as it was our last night in Brooklyn. And we were looking forward to a great dinner with cute cozy vibe. read more

Rose Marie was a great spot to celebrate! We wanted to find an intimate and cozy spot and really enjoyed our meal there. The saltine crusted cod was my favorite thing on the menu! The fish was perfectly cooked, it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The saltines added the perfect amount of salt and crunch that paired really well with the savory fish. The tartar sauce was also a really nice compliment. Overall we really enjoyed our meal but would request more vegetarian menu options in the future! read more

Rose Marie, a sister to Yellow Rose, is a cocktail bar that serves southern fare. They are open for walk-ins, and our party had no issue in getting a table and being seated right away! Their menu, which will be offering seasonal items, included salads, steak tartare, porkchop, and saltine-crusted mackerel. Tried this spot because I walked by it and thought it looked cute- and it was! Service was just okay, we got our order in and then didn't see the waitress again until we were waving her down for the check. The food was good. Typical nyc pricing (22-35 per entree). This place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! After the first night, I was shocked how well they had their stuff together. The cocktails, appetizers, and desserts were great, while I think the mains had a bit of room to approve. The pork chop could've used a bit more rendering on the fat cap and perhaps an acidic element to balance everything out.
