Great support in our time of need. Our father passed away unexpectedly, and we were at a loss for how to handle arrangements. Rose Mortuaries came highly recommended by the medical officials who attended to our father. When we called Rose Mortuaries we initially spoke with Connie who was patient, empathetic, and did not overwhelm us at all. When we attended our first appointment we worked with Alex who saw us all the way through the entire process. We knew our father wished to be cremated, and Alex helped fill in all the gaps for our family. She was attentive and provided us space at the same time. She didn't push anything on us and clearly explained the essentials, dates, and was extremely flexible on accommodations that were in between some of the options offered. We had an intimidate memorial / viewing for our father at the Rancho Mirage location for immediate family. The location was private, quiet, and well presented. Our father was well presented and looked handsome and at rest. In the days after the viewing, my father was cremated, and Rose Mortuaries accommodated our family's needs to have the ashes divided amongst my brothers and me. We each had a say in the process and were able to honor our father in our own unique way. All paperwork and certification were presented in clearly marked envelopes and folders. My sister killed herself on Dec 17, 2025, she had requested in the past if ever something happened to her to send her here. She had sent her deceased husband here when he passed, she loved how kind and caring the staff was. when I called for information they were so helpfull and gentle with me. The prices were reasonable and they were happy to send my sister to me after cremation in another state. They have checked on me twice since she's been gone (not even a month). I made a good decision in choosing this place for my Mom's cremation. My Mom and I were estranged at the time of her passing and I did not live locally. Everything was handled by Connie Swain who was just amazingly kind and easy to work with during the process. She walked me through everything, emailed the forms I needed, easily received all the forms and photos I sent. Everything was explained to me and not only was the process way less painful than I thought it would be I learned a lot about end of life affairs and came through everything a more confident person. I can't say enough about how well we were treated throughout the process of making the arrangements for cremation for my mother. I made a call to Rose Mortuary on the recommendation of our amazing hospice care nurse. Everything was explained to me thoroughly. They showed up when they said they would and they were very respectful as they transported my mother. We met the next day with Ed Suddereth at the beautiful location in Rancho Mirage. Again, he was very thorough and respectful as he explained all of the steps necessary for the process. The price was reasonable and everything was taken care of within about a half an hour. He handled death certificates for us as well. About a week later we went to pick up our mother and everything was in order all the death certificates were there. It was a super painless process. Our father had unexpectedly passed away, was a 20+ resident of palm desert. My sister and I still lived in the South Bay, and needed the services of a mortuary. We preferred local as to respect our father's remains, time and wishes. My sister found Rose mortuary, went through their website and liked that it was family owned! I called and talked with Ed. Ed was extremely respectful, helpful, polite, patient and knowledgeable, and walked me through the process of receiving our father, handling, and the cremation process and paperwork. Again was very patient with me, needing to gather the pertinent information for the death certificate. He emailed me all the forms to handle getting the process started, not being in the area at the time. Everyone was kind, polite and extremely helpful through the process, we and our father were treated with dignity and respect. You never really think about a mortuary until you do!
