Reserved a 24'x24' dance floor from Rose for a black tie event at an upscale restaurant. The quality and condition of the dance floor was so poor that I had to send it back. There were gaps in the tiles that could have presented a trip and fall hazard to ladies in heels. I couldn't take that risk. So far, they do not want to give me any type of refund- full or partial. I originally rented a 20x30 tent from Rose Party Rentals, scheduled for delivery the next day. When the setup crew arrived, they told me I actually needed a framed tent because part of it would be over a patio. I was surprised as I had mentioned on the phone that the tent was partially covering a patio, and no concerns were raised. I understand if this was my mistake, but called right away to switch to a 20x20 tent that would fit entirely on the grass. I appreciate that I was only charged a $25 tent change fee, but I still had to pay the full price for the 20x30 tent, even though I was getting the smaller one. This was because the tent had been put as "unavailable" only 12 hours before. That was a $100 difference. On top of that, I was charged another delivery and setup fee, even though the original tent was never set up. I may have made a mistake here, but it feels like the situation was taken advantage of. I rented a double frozen drink machine for my granddaughters middle school graduation, and two drink mixes. The brought the machine the day before and put it in place for me. Apparently the tanks were not installed correctly and after having the machines run for about 20 minutes the day of the party, one of the tanks came loose and we had 2 1/2 gallons of Strawberry mix sprayed accross the room. I figured out what went wrong and immediately called to complain and request extra mix prior to my party. They never responded. Whats worse is that I only had syrup for one bowl, because it is special to those machines. They did not even have the courtesy of returning my call or telling me where I could get extra mix. I called them at 10:00 in the morning, so it is not like I was expecting a call in the middle of the night. A total waste of $310. I would look to another place to rent if you want a reliable and responsive company to work with. read more

I rented a double frozen drink machine for a 4th of July party, and extra drink mixes. We have rented these types of machines annually for about 7 years now, other companies and never a problem. First time from Rose Party Rentals, rental in total was $350. Knowing how these machines work, we started them up 4 hours prior to our party, it was warm out and we know it can take close to three hours - we wanted to be safe. The liquid never froze up, our party began at 6pm, and we were still hoping. 7pm, nothing. They never produced the frozen drink. They were picked up the next morning, at 9am, no call, just two guys at my backdoor on my deck. I gave them back the two extra, sealed mixes, and sleepily told them that the machines never worked properly. They took back the extra mix and said they would let the warehouse know. I was hoping was a refund of at least a portion of the $350. Rose Party Rental (via text) informed me I should have called at 6pm/7pm to let them know, and they would have brought a new machine out. IT TAKES THREE HOURS TO FREEZE UP, WHAT WOULD THAT HAVE DONE? Our gathering ended at 10pm. The company offered a discounted rate for my next rental - no thanks. Then a credit towards my next rental of 50% of my total, no thank you, honestly I can't risk renting from them. Again I paid for the rental, delivery, tax, damage waiver, and cleaning fee for a product that we were unable to use. I let them know I would be posting truthful reviews of the ordeal, they didn't seem to be concerned, and honestly I have never written a negative review. read more

Can I please leave a 0??? This is one of the worst examples of customer service I can remember. Cancelled a rental 3 days before their cancellation cutoff. Was told I had to wait 10 business days for a refund. Supposedly sent a check that I never received that was returned. Then called back 3 times to follow up. Just now called and was told I would get a call back in 5-10 min. 30 min later I had to call them back and was told "oh I just gave the refund to card on file". No communication and even worse service. Not only will I not use them in the future but I will tell everyone I know NOT to use them. They deserve to lose money on their terrible service. read more

We rented the 8 foot rectangular buffet table, 8 chairs with 8 chairs covers. The pick up and delivery option was very convenient. They had a very large collection of tables and chairs. The chair covers were very clean. The office worked with us on keeping the set for an additional day in between the 2 holidays. We were only charged for 1 additional day instead of 2. We will plan on using their products in spring for our future events. read more

BEST experience at Rose Party Rentals. At first.. I wouldn't be saying that. Had a bad experience with one of their sales reps.. But then called again at a different time to speak to someone else and spoke to WENDY!!!! WOW what a complete gem that woman is!!! She helped me with absolutely everything and was so patient with my tedious questions. She gave me EXACTLY what I needed and even gave me her personal cell to contact at any time with any questions. She even answered my questions on her DAY OFF!! Every customer service rep NEEDS to be like Wendy!! She deserves a promotion, raise, all the above!! So grateful for her, almost went somewhere else if it wasn't for her! Ask for Wendy when you call Also, their tents and heating lamps are SO clutch!! I got a 20x30 tent with walls + 2 heating lamps and it kept the whole tent warm for hours!! So awesome. read more

Do not take your equipment here to be repaired! Brought in my snowblower that wouldn't start. They called me the next day and quoted over $200 to repair it (half of what I paid for the snowblower itself), saying it needed a rebuilt carburetor. Took it back (losing the $25 I paid for them to "look at it") and took it to Home Depot in Elk Grove Village, who quoted me $75 for a full service and laughed when I told them how much Rose quoted. When I got it there they started by using a spray into the choke and with a little effort the snowblower started up and kept running. Didn't charge me a cent. After the fact, I looked at their web site and it says they charge $100 for a full tune-up of snowblowers. The tune up itself might have been worth the price, if they hadn't tried to gouge me because we'd just had the first big storm of the winter. Skip these guys and go to Home Depot instead. read more

I rented several items from Rose Party Rentals for a graduation party. During the party the slushy machine was leaking. I called customer service twice and FaceTimed them. The machine continued to leak red syrup all over my garage floor. We were unable to use the machine. I notified the company upon returning the equipment. They told me they would not refund my money and tried to give me store credit. I asked to speak to a manager and again they said no one was available. Terrible service!! read more

They went above and beyond to make sure our tent rental went perfectly. We rented a 20x20 tent and heater (our party was in April). If you're renting a tent and sides, go with the French window! They really made a difference by bringing in natural light during the day. The tent set up took less than and hour and the guys setting it up were very nice. I would definitely use them again for our future parties. They were very communicative and on time. read more

This place is terrible beware charged almost $300.00 for equipment that didn't work correctly. Then didn't let me know I needed sticks for 5 bucks to use the cotton candy machine. Refused to deliver sticks because "it's not worth it for us to come out for 5 bucks" ok then come get it. No problem came in middle of party and took cotton candy machine back!! Crazy how a place like this is in business I will be charging my credit card back and please beware before they ruin your party read more

I wish I can give zero but I can't this has to be one the saddest companies out there and a scam do not take your equipment to get serviced or repaired etc... steer clear from them. Had my lawnmower go to them to be repaired and supposedly worked on had to keep calling for a status update they had my machine for a month and half. Once I got my machine back the issue it had gone in for was still there I called them and asked to speak to a manager did not speak to a manager got transferred to the mechanic. Didn't ask to speak to mechanic but I explained to him the problem. He came out to my house made it work he left within a half hour of him being gone it went back out at this point the place was closed called the very next day in the morning asked to speak to a manager got hung up on (real professional) so at this point I'm upset didn't speak to a manager in hopes for them to make it right. Talked to Erin on the phone telling me that I had to pay for them to look at it again wait a minute you didn't take a look at it the first time ? What was my machine doing over there for a month in half ? I asked to speak to a manager still no manager no where to be found. Just shitty all around. The worst part is that I was recommended to them by a friend that had been going to them for a few years now he couldn't believe it when I told him. You only didn't lose a customer from returning you lost a existing customer. read more

I have used rose Party Rentals a few times and they were pretty good not this time though. I made my reservation then they called me back and said the slide wasn't available that I reserved but a more expensive slide was available. I agreed to the more expensive slide but then they wanted to charge per day instead of the usual flat rate. Talk about a bait and switch. I would not recommend this company to anyone due to poor sales tactics and poor customer service. read more

Never, ever, ever rent anything from this company!!!! We rented a margarita /slurpee machine for a graduation party. First of all, the machine delivered looked nothing like the picture. It was huge, industrial looking and extremely heavy. We set it up with margaritas and red slurpees. Five minutes before the party started, we heard what sounded like a bomb.....the machine had exploded and red slurpee was everywhere. Covered the couch, rug, all the windows....the cannister was across the room! Thank goodness no one was in the room, someone could have been seriously hurt. Here is where the horrible company policy comes in....on the phone that day the manager said we would be refunded. It has been 3 days and they are now giving some crazy excuse, like " someone must have bumped into the machine", it was our fault! I have politely explained that no one was even in the room. They keep me on hold and magically can never find the manager when I call. Then they had the nerve to say we damaged the machine. I am thankful no one was hurt, I have $300 dollars in cleaning bills to try to remove red slurpee, and needless to say it affected our party. This is the worst rental company ever, never rent from them!!! You will be sorry. read more
