Neighborhood kids do the set up and take down. If you want a catering company with fancy table covers and pomp then go somewhere else. I sent money to reserve and didn't get a response. Several times I reached out, via text and email and no response. Finally the day before, I get a response and the owner was rude. I did get my deposit back but they were rude. I had used the one other time and had a good experience, which is why i went back. I will not use them again though. read more

Because of all the rain we've had lately, we were hesitant about having a first birthday party for our grand daughter outside. A friend suggested a tent could be a good solution to our weather concerns. We contacted Southside Tent Rental and took the combination package of a tent along with tables and chairs. The tent was fine. The tables and chairs not so much so. The guys doing the setup arrived around 7pm. While we continued working on other preparations, the table and chairs were set up. I didn't get a good look at them until the following morning a few hours before the party. What I found was disgusting. The tables were encrusted with filth, grease, and not one of them didn't have staples in the plastic tabletop or long cracks along the sides and corners. I went to Home Depot for a stiff scrub brush and the strongest cleaning agents I could find. For the next 3 hours I scrubbed, power washed, disinfected, bleached and everything possible before attempting to secure tablecloths to the tables, hoping the wind wouldn't blow the tablecloths up along the sides to reveal the grime I was unable to remove. I get it that people renting these table set-ups will ultimately cover them for their events but the condition of these tables...and chairs was beyond what any respectable business should rent to their customers. My point here is that we paid $320 for a one day rental and for that kind of money, a company shouldn't require it's paying customers to clean their equipment BEFORE their events. As I was scrubbing the tables I couldn't help but think this business is a pure money grab. These tables and chairs must have been purchased at a salvage auction or found in an empty lot somewhere. Patio furniture stored in my garage for several years was cleaner. And frankly I was really pissed that we spent this money and still had to disguise this company's dirty tables. To summarize, the tent they put up worked just fine. But if you're in a bind for tables and chairs, you can get the same brand at Sam's Club or Costco and get new ones for almost the same price as Southside Tent Rental would charge you. read more

The tents themselves were nice; however, it was the process of removing and breaking down the tent that motivates this review. I had planned an event that would end around 8 PM and the company agreed to arrive around 8:30 PM to break down the tents. However, after waiting for the company employees to arrive for more than 30 minutes, we finally realized that no employees would be arriving. At this point, we contacted the company and did not receive a response to 20 minutes. When we finally received a response, the employee on the phone yelled and swore at us, telling us that we were liable for the tent even after the previously agreed upon time of 8:30 PM. We were told (after being called many profanities) that we would need to wait another hour to watch over the tent. Throughout this entire process, we were repeatedly told that we were being 'assholes'. Even if this was a accidental miscommunication, this lack of professionalism  and human decency is completely unacceptable. I strongly discourage anyone from renting from this business if they would like to be treated with any level of dignity. read more

The website indicates their superior customer service is what makes them stand out, so I don't understand why I haven't received a call back on either phone number I left, or at least a response to my electronic query. Used this company numerous times and had the best service. The young men who put the tents up and took them down are always really nice and friendly. One time they helped me move my own personal tables and chairs from the garage and set them up. I can't say enough about them. Maybe the person complaining should think about giving them a tip instead acting like a "Karen" towards them. read more

Rented a tent and table and chairs this past summer and they arrived late, just as the party was starting. We rented a tent and table and chairs for a luncheon yesterday. Confirmed the details on Friday with an emphasis on the fact that we needed it no later than 11:30. They arrived at 1:30pm for a luncheon that started at noon. Terrible, terrible service!
