We were told by staff that our family member would be on Level 1 Care and is billed for Level 2 Care since the beginning.

Everyone thought my MIL was declining rapidly and could never turn around again. Fields thought otherwise. Within 3 days of being at Fields, she has gone back to where she was health, happiness and cognitive wise to at least a year ago, and every day she gets exponentially better! It's incredible! First, the decor, cleanliness, quality of the build, the furnishings, the finish work, and beauty of the facility is beyond compare. Very classy, not cluttered, but honey and comfortable feeling, lovely artwork, with incredible taste. All staff members are committed to the cleanliness of the place and will pick up even the tiniest things they find to ensure spotlessness. The outdoors is fantastic as well! The furniture was selected with the utmost consideration to the elderly. Clearly someone with occupational therapy knowledge purchased it. The chairs all have arms on them, are firm in the cushion, and at a perfect height to make them very easy for the elderly to get in and out of. There are a lot of chairs in this place, and I haven't found one yet that wasn't perfect for elderly. The chairs in the dining room have wheels on the back, but not the front so they will slide easily, but also won't slide away when the resident sits down. Very safe! The food is outstanding, and the chef committed to listening to the opinion of the residents if there is something they didn't like as much, or that they want to see more of, they want to please. The wait and kitchen staff aim to please, remember the resident's names, and make them feel like they're in the fanciest restaurant in town. My MIL at first was asking if we needed to pay at the end of the meal since she was not used to this kind of service. But she learned quickly it was all part of the package. The dining room is big, bright and beautiful and often the residents are lucky enough to hear a resident play some music on the baby grand in the dining room! Quite a treat! The rooms are quite spacious and feel like home! The kitchens are superior to other facilties and are nice and open and offer only what you need and nothing you don't. But the biggest seller for my MIL was the bathrooms where the residents are allowed private showers of their own (not a community shower down the hall) with the special added bonus of a thermostat in the bathroom and the heat blowing out by the shower! She loves the fact she can stay toasty warm while getting ready for the shower or bed. The Care staff is committed to getting to know my MIL and meet all her unique needs and personality quirks, and keeping her as independent as possible, for as long as possible while assisting whenever and wherever she needs them. This is critical for my MIL's health and well-being, but also for her sanity and sense of humanity. It gives her confidence and makes her happy again. I haven't seen her smile like this in what seems like ages after her terrible experience elsewhere. The nursing care and the commitment to getting better, not just making residents comfortable, or waiting for them to die, or helping that along like some facilities, is spectacular. Fields is going to be having an eye doctor that comes in and does all but surgeries at the facility! A wonder! They are lining up all kinds of specialists to meet the needs of my MIL and enable her to recover from the damage caused at her previous facility. And the family doesn't have to worry about the appointments one bit. There is a lovely hair, nail and pedicure salon on site, a perfect fitness center with just what they need, and even a gorgeous movie theater with movie popcorn and leather recliners. Marnie, Robert, Debra, Dylan, Rylee, and all the staff have made my MIL safe, better and happy. We cannot ask for more than that. Thank you all. You have saved her. God bless you for what you do.

Because of inadequate numbers of caregivers, the residents sit in there own filth for sometimes 12+ hours a day. I can no longer recommend Pine Ridge.

Caregivers work hard and are friendly, but there were only 2. Residents were unwashed and sat in wet or soiled garments for hours on end. The food is mediocre, servings are small and residents are only given a half hour to eat. Those who are unable to feed themselves often go hungry. When I've been there I helped feed some of them. My friend's mom was scared while there. We witnessed one of the male residents molesting a female in a wheelchair. We moved her by us and made him leave her alone.

I missed her last birthday when she turned 94 and the last Xmas I would have been able to spend with her. That was in 2023 and she passed in Feb 24th 2024. After I was trespassed they put her in memory care and started giving her morphine all the time. An advocate came in to help my mom and to get me back in to see her,but that was only 3 times a week and then she died in Feb of 24 from the morphine they were giving her and my mom never took drugs more than aspirins her entire life. Her older sister is still alive at 98 and my brother cut her phone off so know one could call her. They were telling my Aunt Betty that noone by that name lives there and my brother and the staff were telling my mom that I up and moved to far away to come visit her anymore. That broke my mom's heart. She couldn't understand why I never came and told her good bye and why I would move so close to the end of her life. I never want anyone to go through what I went through it is devastating. My brother Doug did this to steal my inheritance. It was all over money.

Anyone who has managed people understands that a company's greatest asset is its workforce. This company does not seem to understand this golden rule. And then there is this: No dedicated pro leading the exercise class. Two newly purchased mini-vans poorly designed for elderly. Maintenance requests ignored - aka leaking water faucets that must cost company big dollars Seniors beware! Talk to several residents before you decide on any retirement community.

The residents are very friendly when you first move in, I did not have to feel uncomfortable about where I was going to sit for dinner. I had several people ask me to sit at their table. The staff, oh my. They are fantastic! When I moved in, I had a gift basket sitting on my counter waiting for me with a sweet welcoming card. They had a Welcome sign on my door. They checked on me several times the first few days to see if there was anything I needed. They are so friendly and sincere. I have never lived at a Senior living community that was so sincere and caring as this staff. The Executive Director, Wendi is so nice, helpful and so caring about everyone. She always is smiling and when she talks to you, you feel like you are the only one in the room. She looks you in the eyes and truly cares. The Chef, Nathan is also very friendly and so wonderful! He goes out of his way to make sure everyone has what they need. He is out in the dining room with the dining staff making sure everyone is ok. The maintenance man, Justin gets everything done so quickly and is always smiling and whistling! The floor plans are humungous and the price is cheaper than all the other places I have looked at. This is by far the best place I have ever lived! You will not be disappointed!

This is a nice facility, well maintained, with many excellent staff and friendly residents. I would easily rate it five stars except for one thing. Evergreen markets itself as a place where people can transition from independent living toward more assistance as needed. Unfortunately, they only offer any type of assistance if you are in the main building, so if you live in other parts of the facility and need temporary or only occasional assistance you can't get that from Evergreen. In addition, Evergreen won't allow you to move from other parts of the facility into the main building unless you immediately sign up for light assisted living. So unless you are lucky enough to have an appropriate apartment become available exactly when you start to need some full time assistance (apartments in the main building are often not available without a substantial wait) you may need to either start paying for assistance before you need it or move to another facility when you do need the help. For many people there is a good chance the transition from independent living to some assistance may not be nearly as easy as Evergreen would have you believe. Not cool.

Peggy could not have been more perfect & comforting as a caregiver & true friend to all of us as our daily daytime caregiver. Denny had utmost trust & joy at seeing Peggy daily, whether it was helping w/ Activities of daily living or just sharing joyful banter. Kaylie brought joy & comfort to Denny, bringing her guitar & allowing him to sing & feel a part of himself he had lost a long time ago. Cody provided a man to converse with about old times & life memories. Sandy, brought the HUGEST heart & comfort in a vulnerable time (Night shift) & could be trusted to care for his safety & ultimately hold him in her arms & protect him from falling in his last breaths. She provided protection for my Mom's heart in the most difficult hours & gave all that she had to ensure Denny had any comfort he needed that she could provide. These caregivers mentioned were invaluable & I am thankful we found them when we did- Much Love & thanks- Garnet Davis
