Last year on Christmas week we drove by this park and wondered what all the lights were. A year went by and I forgot about it. Last night we were driving by on our way home and saw the bright lights and decided to stop in. Wow this place is spectacular! So glad we parked the car and walked around. The effort put into lighting this place was tremendous. If we are in the area next year we will def stop in again for some feel good xmas spirit. highly recommend! read more

I came to Rose Tree Park today on such a beautiful day to Celebrate Juneteenth 2024 and attend the activities, while enjoying the summer concert series. Performing tonight was Philly Gumbo, they were very entertaining. The people were friendly, the park and the bathrooms were clean. The staff & volunteers were helpful. read more

Such a great park in Delco! My PopPop lived around here and I used to come here every Christmas to see the lights. It's been a while since we've been back so my mom and I decided to come last night. It was so lovely and the Christmas display was just as charming as I remembered. The park isn't huge, so it is really manageable and a great spot to bring kids. The lights are bright and there are some great photo ops! They have wooden cutouts of Charlie Brown, Santa and the reindeer, and the nativity, that are so nostalgic for me. They've been there ever since I can remember! I had such a great time looking at the lights and look forward to coming back! read more

It's a fine little park but there's not many walking paths. Really your best bet is coming here for a picnic rather than a walk (and definitely not a hike). They do have lots of events throughout the year so maybe you can find one of those to attend. It's fine for being a little park. read more

My husband and I came here for the Christmas decorations. It was a lot smaller than I remembered from when I was younger, but it was still cool! They wrap the trees in lights and put up other decorations like Santa and the reindeer, a nativity set, etc. It is nice to walk around and see all of the beautiful and bright lights. Since it is not too big, it is a great place to bring kids and not worry about losing them in all of the excitement. There are also great photo opportunities too! read more

This is a very large and very beautiful park. There are a million activities that take place here - from HS track meets, to concerts, to bird-watching, to people exercising, to Tai-Chi sessions... the list really just goes on and on. Which is why - for me - this park is not everything I want it to be. I personally would come for birding or taking a nice walk, which you can't do when coaches are screaming at their players, or people are LARPing left and right. If you come at the right time and conditions are perfect, I think you would have an amazing time and fall in love with this park. But that's a big IF considering the popularity of the space. Perhaps if I got up at 6 am on a weekday to bird, I'd be more successful and would frequent this property more often. If you don't mind crowds or noisy people, you'll have a great time here. Come for a picnic! They have great parking. read more

Plenty of trees and picnic tables to take advantage of. The park has a couple shaded walking trails. Nice grassy open park for dogs and kids to run to their hearts' desire. Fair warning there isn't an enclosed space for dogs. Overall wonderful park to have a picnic or a field day with your furry friend! read more

This is a great place to take the kiddos to run around. It's a nice place to get some steps in too! It's not a hiking destination as there are no long trails but certainly walking around the park in lovely grove of trees and greenery is good for the soul as well as the heart! The grounds are kept beautifully. They have the trees all lit up in the winter and there are stands with gifts and treats. And there are usually a few food stands with good, hot meals to warm you up. The free Summer concerts here in the outdoor amphitheater are just a great way to relax and have fun in the evenings. Bring a picnic blanket or a couple beach chairs and lounge or get up and dance!! Concessions are there for beverages and a few light snacks or bring a basket for a late dinner. Always something happening here. Check out the website now and then to make plans! read more

I love this park. It is such a wide open space and both my children thoroughly enjoy running around and exploring. That being said, it makes me sad that SO many people don't follow leash laws here (I would say it's 50% or more). It's so hard to have a toddler running around and have to scoop them up so they don't get knocked over or worse by someone's dog. I'm sick of people justifying letting their dogs run around off leashes by telling us how friendly their dog is. My six year old has had bad experiences with dogs and gets really distressed. The last time I was here someone was "genuinely shocked" their dog was nipping at my 18 month old and they had to come into our personal space to get their dog away. I wish there were more "leash your dog" signs posted around this park. I don't care how cute/friendly/lovable you think your dog is. I don't think it's cute when I'm having a picnic and your dog is sniffing my baby and trying to eat food off his plate (happened this summer). Put your dogs on leashes so if people want to interact with your dog they can do it on their/your terms instead of imposing on everyone else. Go to a dog park if you want the wild and free experience. read more

Not only does Rose Tree Park have free outdoor concerts at their charming amphitheater, the rolling green space features a few great short walking/running trails that get you out of the sun and closer to the dirt! Be sure to hit the water pump at the main entrance when your run leaves you in need of a cold drink. read more

I absolutely love Rose Tree Park. I'm hesitant to write this review because I really like how big, clean and uncrowded it is and I just want to keep it all to myself. Weather permitting, we come here every time we're in the area for a couple hours at a time to try to tire out our pups. We're usually there before noon. They have two huge, distinct grassy areas where we play fetch and a short wooded trail down by the creek. I wish I could pluck RTP up and drop it down near my home. read more

This is one of the finest parks in Delaware County. I'll focus on the pavilion. It is awesome. The audio is great. The lighting is amazing. The sight lines are super. It is a fantastic place to go to a concert with a picnic lunch or dinner. Check the website for activities. read more

Heres What You Do. Go to the Deleware County Parks web site( http://www.co.delaware.pa.us/summer/index.html) to download the Free Summer Concert Schedule. Find the concert that interests you the most( We like the Ballet, Blackthorn(irish) Volcano Choy (hawaiian)) There are many to choose from, there is a concert almost every night in the summer. Then make a day of it. Rose tree Park is a vast open field park, great for kite flying, frisbee, getting naked and rolling in the grass. They also have a trail in the woods which is a fun walk. Bring the Pets! Bring the kids!( one drawback for me is that there is no playground, but for some that may be a plus) The Concerts usually start at 7:30pm so plan the day accordingly, the lots WILL fill up. We usually go to a great pizza place nearby La Forno ( just a little further down on 252 .Review to follow) and pick up a pizza or sandwiches. Or you can hit the Bakery Terstappens if you go in the AM. Both have been in Delcos best so you KNOW its good! There are multiple places to picnic, so just throw down. Nice park. It has several parking areas, playground, a big open field, and quite a bit of wooded area.

I sprained my ankle here and it really hurt do not recommend because it really hurt and Icouldn't walk for like 3 months with a hairline fracture. read more

They have great FREE outdoor concerts in the summer. Saw The Journey last summer. It was great! Bring a pinic, chairs, blanket or spread to sit on the grass and dine under the stars and enjoy the music. read more

This park is amazing especially if you have your dog with you and it has a long walk and trail that you can go on.

This park is great. Free concerts in the summer and an adorable Christmas lights display in December. There's a cute gazebo and plenty of room to set up a picnic blanket and enjoy a beautiful day. It's also a great place to go for a run since it's a lot bigger than you would expect. It's not usually crowded which is also so nice. No cars are allowed on the grass so there's no need to be worried about that either. Definitely recommend read more

Wow, what can I say. I just used P & G to cater a party and everything was great! We ordered the Chicken Marsala, Stuffed Shells and tons of appetizers. The scallops wrapped in bacon were to die for as was the potato salad. The main courses were very tatsy and the food was plentiful. The staff was pleasant and professional. I wish that I could give it a better review but I grew up in this area and it has gone downhill. It used to be a great local venue for all sorts of events and now it seems that a very stogy group have taken over . Good for kids, dogs. read more
