My son had Senior prom and wanted a white suit jacket. We got measured and placed our order at the 35th ave location and the gentleman was nice enough. He told me I travelled too far and the 24th st location was much closer to me and I should pickup there. He was right that location was much closer to home and something just told me to drop in the Saturday before Prom for my young man to try the suit on. Everything was fine except the white jacket. It was dirty and the sleeves were uneven in addition to being stitched with black thread. The middle aged gray haired woman who works there tried to adjust the sleeve but when another customer walked in she became rushed and advised me to clean the jacket at home....which would basically be the same as if they cleaned it on store. I told the woman my pickup wasn't until the following weekend anyway so there was no need to rush today. I advised her to take care of the current customer and I would pick up my order the following weekend as scheduled so that she could take her to e to address the white jacket we were renting. When we arrived on prom day nothing had been done. The jacket was still dirty with black threads and very much dirt on the sleeves. When my sister who brought me to pick up the suit asked why the sleeves were hemmed in black thread and the sleeves were dirty she yelled from the back room "Either take it or leave it were not doing anything else and I'm not changing the thread" while measuring her current customer. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I had already paid the week before expecting everything to be decent and in order when arriving to pick up my order. There were several excuses given for the poorly presented order.... The sewing machine broke which is why the black thread. The dirty jacket was blamed on previous renters " because you know how kids are". The shoes are old and wrinkled "because they are from the 90's" The owner did end up bringing another jacket that was not pristine but we made do. The sleeves were appropriately stitched with white thread and we bought a brand new pair of shoes across the street at G/MV DOWNTOWN FASHIONS LLC which is where we should've gotten our suit from. It was very obvious that Rose Tuxedo did not value our black business and if we didn't speak up for ourselves would have sent us out of her establishment with the nigga special.... A dirty suit and raggedy shoes for a steep $232..... I would've owned a crispy clean suit and shoes for the same price point across the street at a black owned business. Support black owned businesses people.... Where we know our time and money is valued. I need 3 more suits within the next month (another dance and 2 graduations). Ms Rose lost a customer for sure because of the rude big mouth lady she has running her store. Ms Rose didn't offer any type of apology or compensation for her rude employee which suggest she supports her behavior and opinions. I don't expect this place to be around much longer!! But yeah.... Check out the shop across the street. While there getting shoes I saw a young man being fitted for his suit and he was CLEAN!!That's where I'm getting my next three suits from. Service for fitting and pick-up was easy, quick and both ladies that worked were super nice and helpful. made sure during pick up that everything fit as it should and helped color match the bow tie to my wife's dress. Fair price for tux/shirt/vest combo and the shoes i added. Drop off was slightly different but ok. Older lady couldn't find the receipt and had my wife go through the box of receipts to find ours. Such a disappointment. I arranged to rent 10 tuxedos for a high school fashion show. One of my fellow teachers who was supposed to get a tux went to the store, but they refused to fit him. They said they would fit the high school students, but not an adult man. Apparently, she hasn't seen the size of high school students lately. Totally yelled at me on the phone about how busy she was and that she was 79 and cancelled their support for our event. Totally and completely uncalled for. I'm a school teacher and we are limited on our funds, so we can't pick up and go to another business at the last minute. Now I have a fashion show a week away and no tuxedos. Went to the tuxedo store on 35th Ave. I needed a last minute tux the same day and luckily found this place. The lady at the front was exceptionally nice and helpful and helped me pick out my tux. They fitted me and altered the tux right there and I was out within 30 minutes. I can't say enough nice things about this place. Their prices were perfect as well. If we could give 7 stars, we would!! We rented three suits for a wedding. They had a cancelation of a group one letter off from ours and our tickets were tossed. Thankfully we called two weeks out to make sure we were good to go and the issue was discovered. Rose immediately rectified the issue. She took my husbands measurements over the phone (we are not local) and did in person measurements for his son and father. Once we arrived, she took such great care of us, switching coat sizes to make it fit better, giving my husband a pair of dress socks free because he forgot to bring some, have us a military discount. The icing on the cake came when I half jokingly asked if she had a steamer to steam my wedding dress (a steamer to come to my hotel was $150 just to show up and $75/hr). She was horrified. She GAVE me her own professional steamer to take for the week (wedding was in Sedona). The she showed me how to use it! Then, since we needed to return the suits on a Sunday when they were closed she opened the shop just to let us drop them off to accommodate us. Her employees said she treats everyone like this! Horrible customer service, my fiance came looking rent a tux for our wedding, we were reluctantly approached by an older lady who seem unhappy to have customers enter her establishment. The place is old with dated items to rent and smelled like mothballs inside. Yes, it was this tux shop near 24th street and Indian school. My fiancé and I are African Americans, your older white female associate looked extremely annoyed and bother by our presence in your store. We stayed all of 4 minutes before we walked out, we asked for a white tuxedo jacket with black lapels. This place is amazing! I came in looking for a suit or tux for a cruise I will be going on next week. That didn't leave much time or wiggle room, but I wanted to give it a try. Penny helped get me all set up even though it was very last minute and on Saturday. She found exactly what I was looking for, made great suggestions on colors and styles, and made sure I had options while I am away to make the outfit work great. Stephanie made alterations to my pants, jacket, and even got everything sized and made sure it fit perfectly before I was out the door. Overall, it only took about 20 minutes and they even made sure to press and iron everything first. During the process they even asked me about it and genuinely want to know about what I did and what I needed the tux for. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for anything they offer. I'm 6'4" and long... nothing ever fits, and I always have to try on item after item. However after a few quick measurements, everything I was given to try on was a perfect fit. I was provided excellent customer service when I needed a little suit for my son. I guess it is industry standard that you can only rent suits for ages 4 and up due to some diaper hygiene ick factor. Luckily though to purchase a suit for a two year old is about the same price as renting one for a four year old. Sweet! Then resell that once worn, and never to be worn again overpriced outfit on craigslist. Rose tuxedo sells little baby tuxedos as well as rents for older kids. The woman who helped me was very kind and even let me BORROW for FREE a pink bow tie for my son to match my sisters wedding. Hello trust and customer service. We had some guys coming into town and needed to get fit at the last minute, and they worked with us to make all alterations on time. The employees were nice and took great care of us. Most Tux places won't take you as a customer. But if they do, its gonna run you $20-40 extra as a "Rush Order". Rush Order.... But not Rose...They do not do "Rush Order". If you peer into their vast back area, you can get a glimpse of their hundreds of tuxes, ready to be thrown on.. Rose Tuxedo, it is!! ~The Good~ Rose has a ton of options for your big day. Honestly, everything from the most basic tux package (which I got) to the high-end and vintage options. It is a mom & pop chain which is local to the area, so do not get fooled by the fact that there are multiple stores. The turn around time for me ordering, to having my clothes ready was JUST ONE DAY. Plus I ordered mine over the phone, without even going in to try it on. Upon trying mine on, it fit great, and I looked dapper last night at the Gala. I also took off shoes, since I had a pair, and got an insanely good deal. The store employee told me "...we get many people in here, but when you are kind and courteous we take even more amazing care of our clients." That came in the form of a discount, right in the heart of tux season. I got complimented last night, so let me compliment Rose! This place is right out of the 80s. The decor is awful. They have no slim fit jackets to try on to get sized. The girl taking our measurements was unprofessional looking. After getting measurements at another store since we did not feel good about this place it became apparent the measurements were totally off. This is for my groom's tux. It's a big deal so it should be right. Thank goodness we went with our gut and got measured somewhere else. I do not recommend this joint. read more

You come in, get measured, fitted, try something on, doesn't fit, do this a couple of times and eventually you find something that fits. Prices were fair. I had a wedding to attend to that I had known for quite some time but ended up procrastinating and not bringing any formal attire nor made an appointment in an appropriate amount of time to receive everything accordingly.
