When a dear friend moved to Rhode Island, we (her girlfriends) decided the perfect parting gift would be a painting of her Shrewsbury home. We provided Rose with a photo and--voila!--the next day, she had nearly finished the painting -- she just needed to add the trees and a few finishing touches. We were amazed. The quality of the painting was gorgeous, the price was quite reasonable, and the turnaround time was excellent. It was the perfect gift. Somebody recommended her on a FB neighborhood group and although I was a bit reluctant at first, I took my chances and Im so glad I did! She is simply amazing! Fast, talented, accommodating and super friendly! Her prices are reasonable too! I actually thought she should've charged me a lot more! She put together a t-shirt blanket for my son and it turned out incredible! Mind you that she had to work with different sized shirts/jackets even baby outfits and very different fabrics and she managed it to make it look perfect. Online places that make this type of blankets only allow a certain number and specific sizes. My son's words: "the best gift you have ever given me" - needless to say, he loved it! 0 stars on this review. I have never reviewed anything before but had to do this to hopefully help someone who may be considering to have their clothing altered by Rose. My daughter's prom dress was spoiled. We took the dress to Rose to alter the top which was loose. The dress has a corset back but during the fitting, Rose said we didn't need to close it. She pinched the fabric at the top of each shoulder and placed a safety pin to mark the area and that was it. The time spent there was just a few minutes. When the dress was altered, my daughter tried it on again in the shop without the corset being tied up in the back so the fit was not assessed properly. I, unfortunately, was not at the dress fitting. At home, my daughter tried the dress on with the corset tied and the back of the dress closed and the dress is now too small and very tight. The arm holes were not adjusted for the amount of fabric removed. My daughter barely fits in the dress now. When I let Rose know, she said the dress would need to be taken out and suggested that I could do it myself. Why would I take the dress to a seamstress if I could sew?! I asked if she would charge me to fix it. Rose then said that I would be charged again to fix it as it would be more work if I brought the dress back to her to fix. I pointed out that she had not measured in the first place and this could have been avoided from happening. I thought to myself, shouldn't a seamstress know the areas of a dress that can be effected from alterations? She then said that she did not have time to fix it. This entire conversation was by text. The original alteration that she had done cost almost the price of the dress. I feel bad because my child who was so excited about her prom dress, is now so disappointed. I can only say that my daughter and I have both learned from this experience and I will be much more careful in choosing a seamstress in the future if I ever need one.
