    French Dip

First time in: Very warm place. No fuss, great service & good food I went with the French Dip, it was ok - I'll try something different next time, have a lot of options.

Reese pie was a Buckeye pie when we got back to Ohio

Great lunch and the Reese pie is amazing we had it for the Ohio State game back in Ohio the next day!

Wow. Just wow. We are visiting my husband's home town from Chicago and came for a quick lunch before we hit the road. We were both blown away. The Rosebriar was a favorite of my in-laws thirty years ago, but it seems new owners have been able to both maintain the historic charm of the area while still keeping current with the times. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the Ruben and strawberry custard pie, and the service was outstanding. Sincere southern hospitality, great food, and cute decor. This is on my must visit list every time we make it back to Albemarle!

Rosebriar Restaurant is an old grocery store that is now a lunch spot. Nothing ever changes here, which is why it's so popular. Homemade soups and salads (macaroni, potato) made daily. They make dozens of fresh pies daily also....so so yummy! Nice atmosphere. Business crowd. Only open weekdays for lunch. I could eat an entire banana split pie alone! Friendly southern hospitality.

A great place to see smiling faces while enjoying a good meal. The pies melt in your mouth and so worth going back for.

We were down by Lake Tillery on a job so this was within a reasonable distance. Love the layout and decor in the restaurant. Oh, we picked a shareable for the table and spinach artichoke dip, which was a good choice to split between three people. We still have plenty of our workday left so I opted to go with the grilled salmon and a rather unique side in Mexican street corn.. for my second side I decided to add a house salad with homemade ranch dressing. The salad was a large portion to start with in the flavor of the Mexican corn in the salmon went well together. I made a great choice. The Mexican corn was three short corn on the cobs in a long dish with sauce on top of the corn. Public house is definitely the place to be in Albert mall for lunch dinner or a private event.

We went to Five Points Public house for a weekday lunch and only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. The food was good, the interior architecture is nice to look at, and we will be back. The restaurant is a mix of booths and tables with chairs. You can tell the building is old, but had been tastefully worked into a restaurant by the age on the exposed brick within. The whole front of the restaurant faces one of the main roads for downtown, and has large windows that bring in tons of natural light. This place is good for a date night, a group gathering, or anything in between. There's even some bar seating if that's your thing. Our table got the French dip and a make-your-own burger. The French dip was easily shared by my little and me, as the portion size was large. The build-your-own-burger comes exactly as you want it, cooked to your temperature preference, but I will say the patty could have had more seasoning on it. The onion rings are amazing, and the onion adheres perfectly to the batter. One thing I hope to be able to use in the future is the Pontiac Room, which is their second story event space. They have a nice sign that gives details about the space, and I truly believe it would be good for wedding receptions, large parties, or large group gatherings. I don't know if there is an elevator to this space, so you'd need to check on that should your group have mobility concerns. Overall, this is a place that we will bring the whole crew to in the future.
