Found a new date night spot.. no pun intended but yes it's local for us! Great service and can't wait to try more of their menu! Saw this restaurant on Charlotte's Restaurant week website. I wanted to take the husband out to another Queens Fest to try more 'local' flavors. And he loved this spot. He had the Rocky River Ribeye, with herb butter- perfectly seared, light crust, very good. For me I did the Queens feast .. bacon wrapped scallops, French onion soup, 10oz peppercorn sirloin. And wow! So so good. And I loved my drinks.. thymed to get smashed. Excellent spot for a date night. We sat at the bar. Great service. I can't wait to try their desserts next time...

Perfect spot for a family celebration. Food is great. My favorite is the salmon. That sauce is the best. The service is excellent. Wait staff and bar staff are top notch.

After visiting the Reed Gold Mine. We wanted to get a local bite. Found this place and let me tell you. Not disappointed AT ALL. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the interior was extremely clean and had various locations to sit including bar with TV. But the food... my goodness! The absolute cherry on top for this place. We all tried a couple things but there wasn't a single item that we found to be bad. Would absolutely recommend for anyone passing through.

Solid 5 stars!!!!! This place is gorgeous and so, so clean and stylish on the inside!!!! We made reservations and were glad we did, because the parking lot was totally full other than one available spot!!!! The hostess was so kind and helpful and took us to a clean table right away. Our waitress was a really sweet girl. She was very helpful when we were ordering drinks for brunch, letting us know about local favorites!! My mom and I enjoyed two amazing cocktails, along with a delicious app. Our appetizer was the green fried tomatoes! They were sweet and savory at the same time, so deliciously made and smothered in fresh, amazing toppings!!! Then we ordered another appetizer, the fried squash! It was seasoned beautifully!!!! And fried just right!!! The ranch was zesty and tasted house made!! We ordered two French onion soups for our entrees and were not disappointed!!!! I mean it was exactly what I needed today!!! We finished off the outing with some creme brûlée, which I had never had before. It was fantastic!!! Everything was served so beautifully and delicately! The portion sizes were customizable, where you could do an individual portion or a shareable or bigger portion, which I was pleased to see on the menu. Most places don't give you that option, so I appreciated that!!! We also visited the bathrooms and I had never seen a more pristine and clean-smelling restroom!!! They were like bathrooms you see on commercials!! It smelled like clean lemon in the bathrooms and was absolutely spotless!!! I am so happy we got to visit today and I will be back again soon with my husband and my girlfriends!!!! Highly recommend!!!!

I stopped by The Local Room on Father's Day weekend with my girlfriend and her family. I wasn't too sure what to expect, but it had a big crowd and the menu looked enticing so I was excited. The experience was mixed. It took us nearly half an hour to get our drinks and I'm not exaggerating. Our server was very apologetic, it sounds like the bar was really backed up due to a shortage on glasses. It wasn't enjoyable waiting that long, but I understand sometimes things like that happen and the manager came by and comped all of our drinks so it is nice that they acknowledged it. You would think that would put their score lower, but I have to say the food was excellent. I got a Cajun chicken sandwich that was absolutely delicious. The chicken was blackened and came with bacon and a garlic aoli that was delectable. Aside from the service hiccup which was likely just a fluke and not the usual experience, this restaurant was great and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Passing through Locust and found this great place for a bite to eat and beverage. Plenty of seating. Friendly helpful staff. We shared a full portion of shrimp crab stuffed mushrooms. Delicious!! Definitely come back.

We were down by Lake Tillery on a job so this was within a reasonable distance. Love the layout and decor in the restaurant. Oh, we picked a shareable for the table and spinach artichoke dip, which was a good choice to split between three people. We still have plenty of our workday left so I opted to go with the grilled salmon and a rather unique side in Mexican street corn.. for my second side I decided to add a house salad with homemade ranch dressing. The salad was a large portion to start with in the flavor of the Mexican corn in the salmon went well together. I made a great choice. The Mexican corn was three short corn on the cobs in a long dish with sauce on top of the corn. Public house is definitely the place to be in Albert mall for lunch dinner or a private event.

We went to Five Points Public house for a weekday lunch and only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. The food was good, the interior architecture is nice to look at, and we will be back. The restaurant is a mix of booths and tables with chairs. You can tell the building is old, but had been tastefully worked into a restaurant by the age on the exposed brick within. The whole front of the restaurant faces one of the main roads for downtown, and has large windows that bring in tons of natural light. This place is good for a date night, a group gathering, or anything in between. There's even some bar seating if that's your thing. Our table got the French dip and a make-your-own burger. The French dip was easily shared by my little and me, as the portion size was large. The build-your-own-burger comes exactly as you want it, cooked to your temperature preference, but I will say the patty could have had more seasoning on it. The onion rings are amazing, and the onion adheres perfectly to the batter. One thing I hope to be able to use in the future is the Pontiac Room, which is their second story event space. They have a nice sign that gives details about the space, and I truly believe it would be good for wedding receptions, large parties, or large group gatherings. I don't know if there is an elevator to this space, so you'd need to check on that should your group have mobility concerns. Overall, this is a place that we will bring the whole crew to in the future.

I called and asked if they check the avocado before putting in the food, and the person that answered said she didn't do it, that's the cooks......there was a weird moment of silence when nothing was said so I said hello? She rudely yelled I AM STILL HERE! It took me by surprise how rude she responded and I asked so is there some type of solution she could offer me because I just felt like how could you even put this in someone's food and feel like it's ok? I understand whoever answered the phone did not assemble the damn burrito but if your going to answer the phone, you are now the face of the establishment and the very very minimum you could have done is offer a simple apology and ask to POLITELY bring it back so the matter could be resolved. Instead she literally started yelling over the phone with a disgusting attitude and getting defensive! At this point I was just shocked at how this person was acting so I hung up, because I felt like if this is how your going to act over the phone, I can only assume you'd be the one to spit in my food. NO THANK YOU! This behavior is not acceptable, and if your going to be in a customer service position, learn how to provide appropriate customer service in general because this could have easily been handled without being rude and nasty! I will never spend my money here again!

The first time was in November 2025 and 2nd time March 2026 where the bartenders were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made some of the best Bloody Marys we've had in Charlotte. The food was excellent, and we left both times excited to come back. Unfortunately, this Sunday's visit (around 2 p.m.) felt like a different restaurant. It was much busier, and service was noticeably lacking. We waited quite a while just to be acknowledged, our drinks weren't nearly the quality they had been before, and the Bloody Mary tasted like it came straight from a mix instead of being handcrafted like our previous visits. The food was also disappointing. It was much saltier than we remembered, and we never received the Caesar salad with steak we ordered. To the staff's credit, it wasn't on our bill, so we didn't mention it. Overall, no one was rude, but the attention to detail, professionalism, and overall experience that earned our previous five-star reviews just wasn't there this time. They have cornhole and ping pong and just a fun atmosphere out there. Our server was warm and attentive. We did not have to wait for refills and she was quick to answer any questions we had. We started with a few apps - the chips and onion dip and the pigs in a blanket. The chips were well salted and the onion dip was DELISH!!! The pigs were wrapped in homemade party dough and came with a honey mustard crème fraiche. They were so good!! For entrees we tried the fried chicken, prime rib dip, and the meatloaf. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were so good too. The only misstep on this dish was the biscuit. Way too dense and not very flavorful. The prime rib dip was tender and came on the most crispy bread. What a great combo! The only thing that wasn't great were the fries, just nothing too special. The meatloaf dish was flavorful and came with those yummy mashed potatoes so great pairing. We didn't have room for dresser on site but we did take the monkey bread to go and enjoyed it later. Good portion size and full of apple and caramel flavor. Did not regret taking that home!! Really looking forward to this spot opening closer to home. Highly recommended
