I tried this place a couple years ago after they first opened and it was pretty good. I was in town today and had a taste for soul food so thought of them. I was very disappointed. Service was ok, I have no complaints. It was very clean and smelled clean as well. Really was only like 3-4 people inside. Now let's get to the food. I ordered grilled pork chops, rice and gravy, fried okra and a roll. Also lemonade to drink. Lemonade was really good. Pork chops definitely were baked and not grilled with no seasoning at all, just pepper and salt . Rice and gravy was unseasoned and okra was just ehh. 1 of the porkchops were 85% fat . New to the area and came across this little spot. The waitress, Kym was phenomenal. She was not only great at her job but she was amazing with our three small children. We ordered three kids meals, including a hot dog (a little charred) cheeseburger and chicken tenders. All were made fresh and were kid approved. We also ordered the chicken breast meal with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was slightly overcooked but we all know chicken can be finicky. It also came with cornbread but that was not edible. It was essentially a brick of grease. The mashed potatoes and green beans were star of the show! Delicious. Can't believe this little gem has been here for an entire year and we just visited for the first time! The chicken broccoli casserole was so good, and comforting--def homemade. My husband got fried chicken and really enjoyed it as well. The neatest thing was the "cornbread" that came with it--was more like a homemade Johnny cake. All Delicious. If I had to nitpick anything, I would say there was more sugar in the fresh greens than I prefer, but they were still well prepared. So glad we met one of the owners--the folks here are some of the kindest people. Would love to see a few brunch type items added to weekend menu! But we will def be back and plan to put this on our regular rotation. read more

I like little places like this restaurant, but they can be hit or miss. I am conflicted about this place though. It seems like a worn out former fast food restaurant. The parking lot is crumbling and the bench seat I sat on had a broken spring. . Seems like it could use a bit of an investment to fix the place up. The food was ok, I ordered the pork chops, Mac and cheese and fries. The fries were your standard frozen french fries with a weird coating on them. I was expecting them to be fresh cut but nope. The pork chops were very thin, and seemed to be a little bit overcooked. I did really like the mac and cheese though. It was very creamy and cheesy. And the cornbread was interesting, was like a little pancake but it had really good flavor. Overall I would come back to this place, but I wouldn't order the same thing I had. But definitely try the meatloaf because I saw somebody else that had it and it looked really good! read more

My wife and I tried this restaurant Saturday. From the start, by entering the restaurant, we were greeted by Dawn, the owner. She sat us down and continued to give us first class service, As i was waiting for our food ( which didn't take long at all ) I looked around at the old and dated restaurant and was surprised to see "eat off the floor" cleanliness . From the floor, booths, walls, and ceiling were spotless. I was very impressed. I'm a glass half empty type person. I complain a lot about restaurant matters. Now comes our order, Our orders were cooked to perfection. Served fast and hot. Reasonably priced. The personable service from the owner given us was shared with numerous other patrons as well while we were there. We will be back to try other menu specialties. read more

We tried here for the first time. Owner, Dawn is a sweet lady. The restaurant is named after her mother and mother-in-law and the food is so good! Fresh and reasonably priced. We had the prime rib(cooked to perfection), baked potatoes and some of the best cole slaw out I have ever tasted. Please try this restaurant, open just about every day and locally owned!
