Booked tickets online to see Top Gun in the VIP section. The theatre was actually pretty nice and I really liked being able to purchase food and drink while enjoying the movie. Why the two stars then? I purchased tickets online to ensure seats together and to avoid the lines. There is a $2 online booking fee so you would assume there would be some sort of benefit to this. Nope. You still have to go to the register to print the ticket and check in before entering the theatre. There is no assigned seating or anything so you still need to get to the theatre early to get the good seats. There is absolutely no benefit to purchasing online except to put more money in their pocket. This is the only theatre in town but I am hoping this review will prevent others from purchasing tickets online. read more

Sooooo it's a movie theater, it's plays movies. BUT! They have a VIP lounge that serves beer and wine and more meal type foods apart from normal movie theater snacks. And it is 21+ allowed so no annoyances. The 21+ rule applies to the actual VIP screen room as well!! Wanna go see a movie without that annoying kid crying because their parents decided to take them to an R movie then here is your escape. The seating is very roomy and has upgraded seats for your comfort. They generally show two different movies each day as well so there is a rotating variety of currently in theater films! Not to mention the VIP staff is wonderful! Jon one of the hosts is incredibly hospitable and friendly. He loves to talk and enjoys making your night wonderful! He does an amazing job!! Bought 2 tix, large popcorn and vitamin water (to avoid soda). thoroughly enjoyed theatre and was super thirsty after pounding so much popcorn. To my dismay, the vitamin water was "zero". For those who don't drink diet drinks it doesn't taste good. I went to the counter and respectfully asked for them to either take it back or substitute it. NO. I spent $4 and the big ad on the wall doesn't say diet or zero. Facility was great but improvement opportunity for both policy and staff training. read more

Not surprised by the negative reviews. We use movie pass which is a subscription based service that you pay a monthly fee and basically can watch 1 movie a day with what is essentially a gift card. I went in early with my families cards so I could reserve our seats and was told I could not get the tickets for my family members without them being present. This is the only theatre I've used with these movie pass cards that have that policy and it makes it extremely difficult to get movie tickets early to avoid sellouts. I pay the monthly fee and the ticket price is loaded on the card. read more

Saw the Joker yesterday 10/13- AND right immediately when the credits started to roll: A woman with a broom started yelling nonstop at everyone in the theater! We were hoping that she would quite down, but she was just getting started. She was yelling that everyone had to leave so she could clean. So... it became obvious that she was going to keep yelling nonstop throughout the credits, BUT... she was just getting started NEXT the yelling woman with a broom went up the stairs and started confronting anyone still in their seats- she was getting right in their faces- with that everyone above started rushing out the Exit to the parking lot to get away from the crazy broom lady. We were right in front of the screen, and all of this was impossible to ignore- I have never seen an audience thrown out of a theater. Also there were only;y 2-3 dozen people total in the theater, and not that many were trying to watch the credits, but everybody was being yelled out because crazy broom lady had been hiding in the wings waiting to make her big scene the moment the credits started rolling, The crazy broom lady was heavy, younger woman with glasses, ponytail, carrying a broom) walked into the theater and started shouting for everyone to leave, so she could clean. We were hoping she would leave us alone because we were the only family sitting up in the front, and everyone else had been sitting in the chairs up the stairs. Next thing we knew weaved through the aisle to our seats. NOW instead of yelling across the theater she was right in our faces, and started yelling for us to "Go" and "Leave"! We wanted to get the Hell out of there, but she was now blocking our way out. She accused us of showing up early for the next showing, and was very angry and menacing. TO BE CLEAR: Apparently, she thought we showed up like maybe or so early and decided to just come in and watch the very end of the movie, so we could then sit in the theater and wait 45 minutes for the next showing, which was insane and made no sense. I then told her we were just watching the credits; however my wife told her to "Leave us alone." Apparently this was the last straw, and she started yelling that she would call the police, BUT again she was still standing in the aisle between the seats, so she was blocking our way out, so I pushed pasted her as best I could, and she went super ballistic (i think she accusing me of assault), so we ran out of the theater still carrying our drinks and popcorn. I was planning on throwing our trazh away in the theater trash cans, but by now she was threathening to call the police and yelling at out backs "TO NEVER COME BACK!!!" We ddid not evern bother to try to return any insults- we just ran for the exit The credits were just ending as we escaped. * She was unbelievably offensive. * She made no sense. * She may have been mentally ill, and off of her meds. DIRTY 3D = PINK EYE THREAT ROSEBURG THEATER HANDS OUT FILTHY GLASSES I am not exaggerating in the least- I spent time searching through their glasses, and a lot of them had fingerprints all over the lens. This means the glasses a DIRTY, DISGUSTING HEALTH RISK. Eating off of a dirty fork, spoon, or plate at a restaurant sounds gross, BUT dirty glasses are far worse. I searched through their racks of glasses this weekend trying to find a pair that was not scratched to hell. Every pair was very scratched and some many were clearly dirty. I turned my wife's and my glasses back in for 1 less scratched and the manager handed me two dirty glasses, that were just as badly scratched. Greasy popcorn butter fingers leave giant nasty finger prints. The manager held both up to the ceiling,and aw how bad they were and still handed the to me. After that I went straight to their 3D glasses rack myself and found that there were lots of clearly dirty glasses, and I could not find a pair that was not badly scratched. On top of that the sound in the theater was terrible. I have been there before and found the sound to be very low, so low that the slightest crinkle sounds loud, and I was straining to hear the dialog, and missed some parts. We were watched the final Avengers movie and for all 3 hours the crappy sound was really annoying. This theater is the only one in town of course. I rarely go to the movies because this Roseburg Theater is so lousy. I am not sure if dirty glasses count as a health code violation, but I am going to check with the Oregon Health Department because the glasses should be cleaned after every use, If you happen to see anything in 3D be sure ask for clean glasses, and look through them at a ceiling light for dirty fingerprints before accepting any 3D glasses from them. read more

I Walk to the bathroom because it was really hot in the theater And then the manager lady walked in and told me to get out of the restroom or I can leave why I was having an anxiety attack I'm not even 10 minutes into a movie and already kicked out. I asked them for a refund and they said I could leave they didn't give me a reason and the Lady also harassed my friends that we're going to the restroom to help me if you have teenagers I would recommend going with them or else they will harass them i'm so upset I just moved to Oregon and my friend said that this movie theater was good and I am just disappointed read more

So I actually really enjoy this theatre. I really like the VIP option and being able to see films with only 21 and over crowds. I like being able to buy alcohol for a film. My biggest complaint is with the back restroom. It's well kept and always clean. The problem I have is that between the urinal and the toilet there is a gap in the partition that allows the shiny tiles to act as a mirror. One time I entered to use the urinal and got the full veiw of someone's rear end as they hovered over the toilet. I learned after that to keep my eyes down on my own business. But yesterday I was using the urinal before seeing Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, it's a 3 hour movie so relieving one's self is a necessity before the movie. As I was using the urinal I could hear someone in the toilet stall so I made sure to keep my eyes averted from the "danger zone". But the sound coming from the toilet sounded like moaning sound with some physical slapping noise. Startled, my eyes naturally raised and I was subjected to the sight of a man masterbating standing over the toilet and it seemed like he knew fully that I could see him. Sure I've seen worse in life and I don't feel victimized but that restroom is not limited to the over 21 crowd. It is accessible to people of all ages. What if it had have been a child that saw what I saw? I did let staff know. That stall needs to be redesigned to not allow people to see what's going on between stalls. Gross. read more

It is currently the only theater in town, has small screens and theaters in general. They have recently added on a few new viewing rooms with nicer seats and stadium seating, but sound quality there was poor. Customer Service: Poor. New VIP Lounge was advertised but age restrictions and price of 2.50 to access it are poorly advertised. For the price of food and drink there one should not be paying an up charge to access it. Recently took my 3 year old to what should have been a 2:00 showing of a child's moving but was told it was VIP and that he couldn't attend. I understand policy but the policy was not posted anywhere on premises. When asked to speak to the manager she said that it was the fault of the general manager and suggested I should have come earlier in the day. When asked about where restrictions were posted she pulled out her phone to show me where the information was, but there was nothing there. She handled the complaint very poorly saying the cause if the problem was that it was a new room. No apology or discussion of posting information more clearly was offered. I do not recommend attempting to problem solve with these folks. Attempts to contact the managers boss so far have been unsuccessful. read more

The seating is really nice, comfortable chairs with arm rests that can be pulled up & enjoy a 'love seat' with your husband. The popcorn is tasty although expensive, in my opinion. The staff here is always a problem. The only reason I go to the movie theater is because it's the only one in town but so got maybe once every couple years because the staff has always been a pain in the ass. We got to the movie too early so the man told us to wait in the hallway. So my boyfriend starting looking at the movie posters in the hallway while waiting and the man on staff goes "do NOT block the hallway sir". Like really? Get a life. I've had problems with their staff since like 2006 when they were going to make us pay extra for a ticket for my parents friends daughter with cerebral palsy (in a vegetative state) and we refused to pay for a ticket because she's disabled and doesn't know what's going on. So they kicked us out but refused to refund us for the 6 tickets we already brought for the rest of us. The staff was also extremely rude to my sister and her friends a couple years ago. The staff memeber was rude to them because they are "loud and annoying teens" even tho they hadn't caused any trouble before. The staff then told them they had to spread apart from each other, turn off their phones, and not talk to one another during the movie. Like???? Again, get a fckn life. The staff here has always been trash. Like the keep hiring losers with no life. Don't recommend the roseburg cinemas at alllllllll!!! read more

Went to see Avengers Endgame's rerelease, 3rd party site stated this cinema had it in 3D, it did not. Waited 10 minutes on two people ahead of us for tickets, then given a very impatient explanation about us being misinformed. Our fault for trusting 3rd party, but the clear hostility was not warranted. The theater was tiny, few seats and a small screen. The soundproofing of this cinema's theaters were terrible, as we could hear external bass multiple times in the movie, including during the emotional death of you know who. What was supposed to be a theater full of sniffles and mourning was instead filled with groans and laughter in response to the bass and rattling of whatever was on the wall. On top of being a small screen, there were wrinkles on it in multiple spots, which became extremely noticeable at the end when Captain America and The Falcon were talking in a bright setting. It drew attention away from the scene and to what the weird pattern was between them. The real kicker was that Endgame was re-released to the theater, but somehow was not re released with the deleted scene that was promised to fans and was the incentive to go see the movie a second time. The answer given to why the theater didn't have the deleted footage was that they weren't performing well enough, which we found to be a weird and fishy answer, and was unsatisfactory to us and the rest of the people who waited to the end for a deleted scene that they conveniently didn't tell anyone they didn't have when they paid for the extra footage. Overall a very poor experience, do not recommend to anyone. Bad service, bad theater structure, misleading releases. Only redeeming quality is that the seats were extremely comfortable. If only the stuff that counts in a theater was even a fraction as good as the seats. read more

I've been going to this theater for many years now and it has all the comfort of a large theater with the convenience of a small one. My only complaint is that sometimes the policies on ticket sales can be overwhelmingly strict. Especially when buying rated R tickets for others. My brother has been charged for two tickets and then after the fact he was told he couldn't take the second one because the second person had to be present. read more

My wife and I were waiting outside with our children (5 and 2) when a guy drives by and starts yelling at my children to get off the bark mulch. There is really no other place for kids to walk around other than the parking lot. I asked who he was, honestly wondering why some guy driving by is yelling at my children for no apparent reason. He jumps out of his car and is pointing his finger at my chest yelling "I own the place!" We go inside, assuming this guy is literarily crazy, and they refuse to let us in the theater on his account. Apparently he is a manager there and doesn't actually own the theater . That was nice because I was hoping for a refund as the children were crying and no longer interested in watching a movie. If that's an example of their customer service, especially from someone whom the employees are to look up to, I can see why this place gets poor reviews. read more

Bought tickets online for the new Star Wars. It cost an extra $2 for the 'booking' fee. I printed out the email confirmation to present at the door. We arrive about 35 min early. The line is across the front of the building. They have ONE person in the ticket booth. We go right in because we pre-purchased our tickets right? WRONG! We are told we have to stand in line anyway, because, they are not "set up" to handle online purchases at the door; that it has to be done at the ticket booth!!! There were several other people who showed up who also purchased online who were as equally disgusted as we were with their service! Why not tell your customers upfront on your website this information???!! They bilk an extra 2 dollars out of you and then make you wait in line anyway? Do you think I was buying online because I just wanted to donate some more money to you? Can you say 'RIP OFF'? I'd go somewhere else if I could, unfortunately, this is the only cinema in town. Visiting from California and had arrived in Roseburg fairly early, so decided to hit up the movies! This place is the only movie theatre in the area, so you can't complain much. Ticket and food prices are very affordable. $11 for a 3D movie! WOWZA. Back home it's $16. =( They seemed to have recently renovated some theaters inside because the place still smelled of fresh paint. Stadium seating and leather-like seats. I noticed in the back there was a special VIP section with a "NO MINORS" sign. I didn't bother checking it out because it looked empty. Not sure if it'll be a success or not... read more

For the age of the theater it is pretty nice. Granted it's the only good one for miles so you get what you get. I have been a few times and haven't had any issues besides slightly old popcorn. Worst service I've ever had at a theater. Decided to see Jurassic World with my husband for our anniversary and to escape the heat. The employees were rude and impatient. During the movie, one of the ushers came in and told me to remove my foot from the seat ahead of me. No one was in the row where my feet were otherwise I wouldn't have had them resting there in the first place. The air conditioner was off or on very low in the theater as well so I was very uncomfortable during the movie. We told one of the employees as we left about the temperature and he rolled his eyes and just stared at us. Overall this place sucks. Will not return. read more
