5 Stars - A Perfect Anniversary Getaway! My wife Tiffany and I stayed at the guest house at Cooper Ridge Vineyards over the 4th of July weekend for our anniversary, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The guest house was spotless, very reasonably priced, and gave us the complete run of the vineyard once the tasting room closed. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The property offers both 1- and 2-bedroom options and has gorgeous views overlooking the North Umpqua River and the vineyards perfect for morning coffee or evening wine on the patio. Steve and Paula, the owners, are wonderful, warm people who were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. Their wines are superb, especially the pomegranate sparkling wine, which quickly became our favorite. We also loved the complimentary charcuterie board! The guest house was well-equipped with a washer and dryer, iron, full refrigerator, coffee maker, and plenty of dishware -- everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Located in beautiful Douglas County wine country, it's conveniently just minutes away from many other wineries, making it an ideal base for exploring the Umpqua Valley. We were visiting family in Oregon for the weekend and went here on our last day. I lucked out because it was the last weekend for wine slushies! We didn't have a reservation, but we lucked out on scoring a table. It was away from the live music, but you can still see/hear the band. What was so breathtaking was that gorgeous view! I wasn't feeling well that day but the view was a total zen vibe! There's an inside bar area, ample seating outside. It's best to get a reservation or get there early for the outside tables. Restrooms are inside, parking is on the vineyard. The day we were there, they had a taco vendor for food. Overall, this was one of our favorite wineries to visit and hope to be back when we're in the area. read more

Stopped here based off reviews on way back from California and so glad we did! Beautiful hilltop vineyards, charcuterie, delicious frozen rose and merlot was perfect on a sunny day outside on the patio. We lucked out with live music too. Friendly staff made us feel welcome, and offered our kids capri suns and goldfish. It's 10 min drive off I-5 but it's worth the detour! read more

Nice setting with excellent views, but all the wines we tasted were sour ... too much malic acid. Wines were not very flavorful.

One woman was working there acting like a snob. She was middle aged petite woman. I want to clarify that she was not the woman from San Diego. The one from San Diego was really kind. We came in as a party of 6 and there was NO ONE seated inside except for us for the entire time we were there. but still she made it seem like she didnt want to take our party for some reason until someone else told her of course there was space. Our family members rarely drink wine and when she asked my aunt what she likes she made a comment about her wine preference " like Costco wine". So what if it is? She asked if she could have a taste of something and the employee told her she had to get a flight and then spoke to her condescendingly when she didnt understand what a flight was. But later, we absolutely saw other people being offered a taste before pouring a whole glass. We stumbled in because everything else we planned to do was closed. We wanted to spend time together and unfortunately, even though the wine was good, I wish i picked anywhere else. Luckily my aunt is a sweet woman who didnt understand how rude the employee was being. But, having worked in fine dining for 18 years, I knew what she was doing. Do better, be more professional. It's a TASTING room, if you want to share your wine with the world, maybe don't be so rude and snotty to people who take their time to TASTE your wine even if they're new to wine tasting. Great winery with a fantastic view. Plenty of tables outside with umbrellas. Every table has a view of the vineyard and beyond. I ordered a flight of tastings. You can choose four wines to taste from a list of ten (5 whites and 5 reds). I stuck to three whites and a rose. I surprisingly didn't love the rose and it's usually one of my favorites but the other three whites were great. There's also a friendly winery dog who greets you at the door and visits you at your table. An added bonus. Would definitely return for another tasting for the view and atmosphere alone. read more

They provide good wines. They have excellent food pairings and a very nice ambience for an outing.

What a beautiful place! Very inviting inside and out. Outside are tables with umbrellas to shield you from the sun. The deck overlooks the vineyards and the mountains in the distance. When we arrived on a Thursday afternoon in September, we were greeted and served promptly. There were only a couple of other tables occupied. We enjoyed most of the wines and in particular the Rose and Pinot Noir which we bought. It would be nice if they waived the tasting fee when you purchased a couple bottles. All in all, an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two! read more

Come here for the view and the ambiance. Situated on a hill overlooking the vineyard, it provides great views while you enjoy some wine. The tasting room architecture is very nicely done to take advantage of the view and there is a very large outdoor patio that allows you to take it all in. At $10 for a tasting (5/2019), I feel you are paying more for the view (worth it) than the wine. The wine is decent, but the ambiance is better. read more

After reading about the amazing views and excellent staff, we decided to come and try the wine. It did not disappoint! Besides being hands-on, the new owners are beyond friendly, welcoming and accommodating! I love how they pour their tastings! Besides enjoying a wine Avalanche and the views, the temperanillo, the cuvee, and the Greuner were delightfully delicious! Good wine with a great view. And cheese plates, too! Staff was so friendly and welcoming. Tastes are $10 each, and you have three choices--white flight, red flight or a mixed flight. The tasting fee is waived with purchase, and we happily purchased a Riesling and a Viognier. I have always known Riesling to be a rather sweet wine, but this Riesling was not too sweet, and tasted crisp. We are on an extended trip in our RV; otherwise, I would have bought more of the Riesling--it was that good. We opened our Riesling as we sat on one of their two terraces and admired the view, while enjoying a cheese and meat appetizer plate. This was a very enjoyable wine tasting experience. read more

Out of all the wineries in the Umpqua Valley, this one stood out as the best in town! The food was tasty, the service was phenomenal (thanks Asia), and the views were the highlight. The Avalanches tasted amazing and were the best on the hot Sunday we went. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great wine and a good time. read more

Fairly surprised expectation of a vineyard in roseburg. If you haven't been here definitely try it. A bit pricey but I am picky. Comparable to sweet cheeks vineyards. Bring your own cheese and crackers for a better eating arrangement, again a bit pricey. Each table has its own shade umbrella adjustable a plus. The only negative I can say or think of is was 98 outside and the adjusted an umbrella for one customer yet when I asked I was told they don't move. I don't know how to react to that being of darker complexion. I would still recommend this place. read more

First off incredible view from the outdoor seating. I have not found another winery in this area with such a nice view. The wines were great and they had good covid-19 protocols to make sure everyone was safe and it did not negatively affect our tasting in any way. Copper Ridge has sold to new owners and good for them and welcome to Roseburg. Have not visited winery since new takeover. Walked in to a empty tasting room with only the two new owners the only ones present and introduced myself to the them . Return greeting seem to have a uncomfortable odd slant to it. Following me in was my wife friends and our service dog Ozzie. The owner sternly states that no dogs a allowed inside with us stating Ozzie is our service dog. Their web site stats service dogs are allowed in this area. with that owner demands paperwork witch we did not have in person however dog had proper legal service ID patch. Owner says we can sit you outside with a heater on a 45 degree day with wind and driving rain. Often its not what you say but in the manner in which your say it. Needless to say we left with the owner almost screaming at to take or seats outside. We left never to return. read more

Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon! Every person here was so nice and accommodating. I called ahead to make sure we could bring the dog to sit outside with us. They were very nice about it. We did the mix flight, a glass of 14 Pinot noir, and the meat plate. Plus I had a taste of the Rose. All very delicious wine. We love trying new places. We took a bottle of the rose Home with us. We went back yesterday and had a flight. The intervening several months have done wonders for the reds, maturing and mellowing out the tannins. The whites have always been great. The bathroom was kind of gross when they weren't busy and the staff was racist and rude to my dad. They refused to help keep me out of the sun and I got very sunburnt. The wine is delicious. The staff are so friendly. Atmosphere is relaxed with a gorgeous view. Have great snacks you can order to munch on as you taste wines. No pressure to buy the wine you taste.
