Dr. Dauphin was AMAZING!! This was my second annual with her and it was perfect. The office is clean. The staff have always been kind. Dr. Dauphin makes great conversation and she is attentive at her job. She is knowledgeable. Dr. Dauphin's office is an all inclusive office. She has options for any issue. If you need to lose weight, she also partners with weight loss program. If you are having any issues below with dryness, she has a procedure for the patients. Great doctor. read more

My experience was a great example of being mindful of the people who represent you, because I didn't stick around to meet Dr. Dauphin. As a new patient, I arrived 15 minutes early for my appt to fill out paperwork. When I arrived, everyone was in the breakroom having lunch. Someone came out a few moments later, gave me a clipboard to fill out the paperwork, and told me someone would be with me once lunch was over. Issue 1: Don't make appointments during the office lunch hour, especially if your breakroom is in full view of the lobby. Fine. I filled out the paperwork. Got weighed and escorted to a treatment room. There wasn't an actual chair inside the room to sit on, just a wooden bench for some reason, possibly supply storage. She had me sit on that to get my BP checked. Issue 2: Have a chair in the room for the patient and maybe a hook or two for their clothes, purse, etc. There was a small table prepped with supplies on a sterile field. The assistant sat the blood pressure machine on the sterile field and had me rest my arm on the table, to take my BP. When questioned about this, she said it was okay so long as her machine doesn't touch the swabs. WRONG. Nothing should touch the sterile field. And part of the machine touched the sterile gloves that were going where? Potentially inside my body. Issue 3: Improperly trained staff. Okay. All remember all that paperwork I filled out earlier? She started asking the same questions that was on the paperwork, which was literally still in her hand on the other side of the folder. When I questioned that she said, "Oh the doctor doesn't like to read through the paperwork." WHAT? I get you're not wanting to flip through my entire medical history but this a few pages that I literally filled out the same day, minutes ago. When asked about my LMP I didn't know. Why? I have an IUD. Anyone who has one generally doesn't have them. It's been years. Minutes later I hear a knock on the door, thinking it's finally the doc. Nope. A second assist came in to press me on LMP w/the first asst. IDK. I just threw out a year. That satisfies them. They leave. I'm given a paper sheet and told to undress. Done. More time goes by. Appt was at 2pm. Got there at 1:45pm. My watch hit 2:45pm. I came during lunch. I knew I was the only patient there. It shouldn't have taken nearly an hour to see me. It took 5 minutes to fill out paperwork and another few minutes for the weight and vitals check. I thought I had a new gynecologist. Apparently, I don't. Issue 4: Unprofessional. read more

I went to Dr Dauphin to help with some problems I have. She was very much in communication during the consultation and wanted to order some tests for me. The problem was she did not tell anyone in the office to order the tests and when I called to say that I had not received these so called ordered tests, no one in the office knew about them and the information was not in my chart. I called again, and this took 3 different calls to finally talk to someone on the phone to find out why the texts were not ordered. This lady said she talked to someone in the office (she is an off site person who answers the phone) and said she talked to someone in the office who would order the tests. It's 3 weeks later and I have not received any of the tests. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will not go back nor will I recommend this doctor to others. read more

Do not go to this doctor if you suspect you may have PCOS or Endometriosis. She is deeply uneducated in these specific conditions and, if I had listened to her in any capacity, would be in so much pain. This doctor was dismissive, rude, and talked to me as if I was a child. I had to request an ultrasound order 3 times in the appointment and she finally relented. When the results came back I showed signs of stage 3 endometriosis (a 5cm endometrioma on my ovary was reported). She told me to "wait 6 months, it's no big deal". Like I said, she showed a clear lack of knowledge with something as serious as this. I sought out a second opinion and was in surgery three months later with severe endometriosis and am SO GLAD I didn't listen to this doctor. Do not go here if you want to be taken seriously. *she also told me that having PCOS is like being born with your natural eye color, nothing can be done about it......amazing medical advice! I was a longtime patient of Dr. Reiche but she retired and Dr. Dauphin took over her practice. I found free two hour parking nearby on residential streets. They do have a parking lot but don't validate. The building has a lobby and elevator as her office is on the third level. The receptionist Anna was friendly and handed me some paperwork to update. Soon after I was led into the examination room and I felt comfortable and relaxing. I found Dr. Dauphin friendly and welcoming and not rushed. She listened to my concerns and I felt extremely grateful for her support and encouragement. The exam was for my annual pap which went very well. She's very professional and has many years of experience with women issues. I highly recommend her services. Feeling good about my experience there. read more

After the shock of hearing this news, I went ahead and made an appointment for my annual checkup. The office was clean and bright and the staff was friendly and helpful. How does this woman still have a license to practice medicine? I've read multiple accounts, which mirror my own. She was my obgyn when I was pregnant with my first son. He's 28 now and the experience still haunts me. Over 55 hours of labor and she showed up in the last 20 minutes, said she was just going to do a c-section, but I was already pushing. I was lucky the nurses were amazing. They were also thoroughly annoyed the doc just would not come in to even see me. She said an epidural would slow my labor. Dislocated hip, broken pelvis. Thank god my son was healthy. After I passed my placenta she even remarked that it would be sold to a cosmetics company. Horrible. Disgusting. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PERSON, If you have a serious female private parts discomfort problem! Repeat. She took a specimen and test was 5x normal bacteria reading when it came back. 1st took specimen on a Wednesday did not hear from her until Monday. So all those days you gonna suffer. Itching, digging, scratching like a DOG. No OTC med relief whatsoever. 5 days in agony. That Wednesday had to call her office and ask where is the prescription for some cream at 5:30pm that was only supposed to be called into the pharmacy. I visited my family doctor to dig further internally to my symptoms and his office had to call "her" and ask for the report from Wednesday. She spoke with me on Monday on the phone and said my reason for illness is I do not know how to wipe from front to back. I must know, that's why I did not have a uti. I had something else from the gut system that hit the esophagus and spread. The problem with these doctors like her, they are not thorough. They only want the Money. She was supposed to perscribe some female cream Monday; did not do it! And hinted to be my overall providing doctor. No way! They think they paying for the medicine and it's coming out of there pocket. We are in America. We have hope! So why aren't these doctors' earning the money and the time the patient spent with them? Get more and give the patient less. Thank God for the ER system which takes insurance and that is one way to get help and medication if you need. This is a true story. I cannot see how this woman satisfies anybody. Tests too slow. Everything you got to question e.g. where is my script, my report? Almost disparaging the patient because her knowledge of pathology is not expanded to all causes and roots of maladies. Arriving at Dr. Baptiste Dauphine's office during covid times, the office was packed! No checking temperatures, no social distancing, nothing! People sitting next to each other! After prepayment of co pay, I asked if there were papers to fill out. I was told to sit down and wait and I asked if I could get the papers and they could call me to come back when its my turn. Waited standing for 15 min, because I pissed them off by even asking, till I got the papers. After I filled them out came back to find the place even more crowded! Finally, left without seeing the doctor, who came out for a moment to talk to the nurses and had her mask down on her chin. No phone call from their office to check on why I left... I was referred to Dr. Dauphine back in 2003 for fibroids. I had surgery in early 2004. I had never had surgery before. The surgery itself went well, but my entire gastrointestinal system shut down. The doctor never told me to clean my system out prior to the surgery. She assumed I knew. I ended up being in the hospital for 10 days. it only got better when I called in a gastrointestinal specialist. additionally she left a sponge inside of me. it was found when an x-ray was taken related to the gastrointestinal issues and to make matters worse she blamed everything on me. I'm only thinking about this now because I recently had a second major surgery, which has gone well. I was curious as to whether or not she was still practicing medicine. This review is long overdue but I feel like I need to say my peace due to some of the obviously fake positive reviews for this awful person. This is not a one-star review. There isn't a star-rating that accurately rates my experience. As I don't feel like this is a "oh I didn't like it so I'm going to give it one-star" review. This is a "Please, for your safety, DO NOT allow this doctor to treat you" review. She is the rudest, uncaring, un-sympathetic and potentially life threatening doctor I have ever had or even heard of. She practices brazenly and with wild abandon while endangering her patients health. I came to her office in late 2009 because of symptoms that I was concerned about. I was sent for an ultrasound in another building where the tech (YES, the technician was the first time I heard this information) notified me that I had a tumor and sent me back. The office staff scheduled me for surgery. I was so young and terrified at my diagnosis that I didn't think to ask for more information or get a second opinion. A "tumor" to me meant cancer, chemo and possibly death. Three days before the surgery I was in so much pain I literally thought I was going to die and took myself to her office. She advised me to go home and surgery would be done in the morning. YUP, sent home with NO pain medication when I was in so much pain I couldn't walk upright. She performed a laparotomy and removed an ovary, corresponding fallopian tube, alleged tumor (actually a benign endometrioma or so I was told after) and adhesions. I was in the hospital for 7 days. It took between 4-6 months for me to feel normal again. She would NOT talk to me about the surgery or the status of my fertility other than to say that I would not be able to have children. WOW! Way to drop a bomb in front of my friends and family when I am doped up on morphine. Follow-up appointment was much the same and she tried to push some intense medication on me without explaining why I needed it. Again stated that I wouldn't be able to have children and that it wasn't a big issue and I shouldn't be getting upset about it. WTF? Thank you for killing a lifelong dream with not an ounce of compassion. I finally got some sense and left her office. Imagine my boyfriend and I's surprise when a little more than a year later I found myself with an unplanned pregnancy. In shock and absolute denial I convinced myself that this was one of those hysterical pregnancies you see on TLC/LMN. New doctor confirmed that I was indeed pregnant and I told her about the surgery and Dauphin's insistence that I was infertile. She was absolutely appalled by my account of the medical treatment I received at the hands of Dauphin. EVERY doctor that I have seen since then has had many in-depth questions about that portion of my medical history. One doctor stated that she practiced old-school medicine and should not have performed such an invasive surgery. Another stated that he was shocked that I was able to conceive at all after such a surgery. Less than three years after my oldest was born, we welcomed baby number two. I no longer think that my son was a miracle baby because I was able to conceive. I think both my sons are miracle babies because god knows what this woman actually did to me. I find myself wondering if I truly needed this surgery or not. Scary that this person has a medical license and is allowed to treat patients. I am so thankful that I escaped permanent damage and never became pregnant in her care. TL/DR; THIS IS A HORRIBLE DOCTOR AND YOU SHOULD STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM HER. read more

I can see what other Yelpers are saying about the Dr's casual demeanor. She is very casual but she is also funny & a nice lady. I think she's seen her share of babies coming out of vaginas so she's not super serious & straight-faced. I found her to be warm, sincere & professional without being a stick in the mud. Let's just admit it, having your vag examined and having your pregnant belly pushed around with that ultrasound goo is no fun for anyone, so I think she does a good job of keeping it light and casual. She has a whole entire wall of photos of babies she has delivered into this world that you can see in her office. She is also from Haiti, and I'm sure being from a country where women birth babies on the floor, she wonders what all the worry is about with women in this country. My wait time for my first appointment was about 20 minutes so I didn't experience the long wait like some people are complaining about. The waiting room is quiet and clean, there is a nice aquarium, magazines. My only concern is that I felt a little rushed during my appointment but I think that's because it was the end of the day and I'm sure everyone was anxious to get out of the office. I had a few questions that I didn't get to ask but I will ask them at my next appointment. The front office staff are nice, the girl I dealt with in particular was friendly. The intake nurse was a sweetheart and had me pee in a cup but didn't really tell me why I was peeing in the cup and what it was for. I would've liked to know, but then again, I could've asked her. Parking is lame. You can park in the garage but it costs alot of money. It's like $1.00 per half hour or something like that. I opted to find street parking and just walked. Hi, I saw Dr. Dauphin-Baptiste and was somewhat dissappointed. I am like many ladies not looking forward to the annual exam. Since I'm planning a family soon, I wanted to see an ob/gyn instead of just seeing a gyn. I had an appt. and I came 30 min. early so I could get the paper work out of the way. I was brought back and asked to pee in a cup...then I was put in a exam room with my paper gown for 45 min!!! YES...45 min....mind you, the exam took only 7 min. While I was waiting for Dr. Dauphin -Baptiste for 45 min., I could hear the ladies chatting about hair...shoes... other girlie stuff with the Dr. joining in the conversation. I sat in the exam room with a concerned look on my face. I thought they forgot about me. Overall, I agree with Beth T. about the girls. When I was on the phone, I felt like she was the SWEETEST person in the world. I felt good because it reflected warmth, but I was totally WRONG. Where was that SWEETEST lady who answered the phone?!? The environment was cold and abrasive....everyone seemed like they were just there for the money and not for love accompanying money. Only person I did like was a lady named Melissa. Dr. Dauphin-Baptiste talked to me as if I was a child and not a client. I told her that I was anxious about whether I could become a mother in the future because of my surgery in the uterus. She kept on saying "anxious, why?" with a no big deal vibe. I'm thinking....."mmm...hello?! I just told you why." Basically, I don't want to see her. :o( I will be looking for another OB/GYN. and another thing, they don't validate so I had to pay $5 for parking. But while I did not have to wait a long time to be seen and I was given very personable service. The complaints I read relate to any doctor waiting a while or having to pay for validation. After having such a wonderful experience with RN Stilson I felt compelled to add more regarding my horrid experience(s) with Dauphine-Baptiste. June C is absolutely correct and on point when she says DP treats you like a child. I went in very very sick last year and she was brash, uncaring and frankly rude with a very sensitive subject. Without getting into too-personal details she actually made me cry in the middle of the room with nurses all around and her condescending attitude. My memory places it as sort of a nightmare at this point. (reminding myself to keep that experience mind next time I need to act terrified and hurt on set) After having the very opposite experience with Nurse Stilson I would emphatically state even more so to stay away from this office - I KNOW there is better out there. read more

see reviews by Beth T. 8/28/2008 and June C. 2/11/2008, I had avery similar experience with Dr. Dauphin who delivered my son last year. -extremely long wait time at office (every appt. over 30 min) -Dr. Dauphin has poor bedside manner, treats you like a child and poo poos most of your questions -came down with terrible bladder infection over a weekend, couldn't reach Dr. Dauphin on her cell phone for three days (thankfully didn't wait to hear from her, got treated at end of first horrible day in emergency room) -billing dept. (who is one person) messed up two bills and didn't resolve it until 4 months after son was born -after check-up for mastitis with Dr. Dauphin she wouldn't prescribe me antibiotics until I begged, 4 weeks after my son was born (had 104 fever and ALL the other signs and two visits with lactation consultants confirming diagnosis). And she also gave me no advice on treatment, thankfully the LC did! I could go on but you get the idea. Needless to say I am pregnant once again and found a different OB. The only bright side to Dr. Dauphin's office was her nurse, Veronica. read more

Very unhappy with this doc and doctors office. They take forever to see you. And her receptionist Cristine is helpful but she also takes forever to help. When she answers the phone she always puts you on hold. The Dr Roseline isn't very friendly, she looks like she just wants to get the day over with and go home. Dr. Baptiste has been my OB/GYN since 1991. 27 years! She delivered all four of my children - all high risk pregnancies. She got all of us through it just fine with her expert medical knowledge and loving heart. I have had a few medical issues that she treated me for, and it is not an exaggeration to say, she literally saved my life. You cannot find a better doctor. What a nightmare experience! I was rushed to the hospital on july 10th 2011 & seen right away in the ER room. They chose to keep me at the hospital for emergency surgery & dr. Bapiste was called to care for me. So surgery was supposed to happen on july 11th. Dr baptiste didnt show up until 6pm to see me for my first time. Well by this point, infection spread & surgery wasnt possible. I was put on anibiotics & told well try for surgery tomorrow. Mind u, its now tuesdY night & i hadnt had a lick of water or food since sunday. Well everyday the dr said to tomorrow for surgey for 8 days! Baptiste couldnt figure it out so she had to csll in infectious disease to see me. Long story short, dr. Baptiste released me from the hospital, condition unchanged & still very dangerous. She told me to stay on bed rest for a month & take my meds. I dont have insurance so she wrote on my release forms & verbally that she would do a courtesy follow up for free to make sure the meds are ridding my body of infection. Well i thought, hmm they are releasing me before they should but shes gonna follow up so ok. Well was i wrong thinking this aas ok! I was supposed to get s ultrasound yesterday but needed the dr.'s order. Per dr. Baptiste i was to do this before my follow up & have the records released to her for my aug 3rd appt. Turns out dr baptiste refused to send the order & cancelled me for my follow up. When i spoke with her she just repeated shes not my dr. & i need to go find cuz its not her & she would never see me again! I pleaded that my release Papers said to follow up with her & she just yelled at me & said no. That my papers were not accurate & shes not my doctor. I have never been treated this way & i feel so abandoned. If the meds arent working i could die & she could care less. Stay away from this horrid woman. She did nothing for me except rack up a $100,000 medical bill to send me home on antibiotics for a condition that requires surgery. Horrible doctor. read more

STAY AWAY!! by all means necessary! When I gave birth to my daughter 5 1/2 years ago, she started yelling at me after only 45 minutes in labor. She told me to hurry up because she "didn't have all day"! She was pissed off and every nurse in the delivery area was tiptoe-ing around, scared to death that she would yell at them again. She runs the delivery room like Hitler in a sh*tstorm. Everyone is in fear of her. Awful experience. Cut to 15 months later-- (no, I still hadnt changed OB's, since I had an infant and no time to spend on that) I ended up with a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. Emergency surgery, life threatening internal bleeding. Surgery goes as well as it can, I'm still alive.:) Dr. D-B does not come in to check on me in the hospital (across the street from her office!) for three entire days. Once she does come to check on me, the nurse told her that my infant & husband had been staying with me during the night, because the infant is still breast-feeding. She comes in and yells at me that i need to "stop that non-sense" and that my family can no longer stay after visting hours. WTF! She should be in prison, not caring for mothers and infants! Cut to 3 months later-- I've recovered and have an appointment to change OB's but its still a week off-- and then I end up with yet another ectopic pregnancy. Luckily, this one has not ruptured, it is causing severe labor-like pains and I knew from previous experience that I should immediately have an ultrasound. I check myself into the emergency room at St. Joes. Attending ER physician reviews my preg test and ultrasound. Yes pregnant- but no image of the embryo in the uterus. Confirmed that I have another tubal/ectopic preganancy. ER dr. calls Dr. D-B and informs her that I need emergency intervention to stop the pregnancy from rupturing the only tube I have left. She tells ER dr. to check me into a hospital room. Later the floor nurse tells me I'm going to have to stay a while because Dr. DB is on vacation and will be returning in two days, at which point she will take care of it. AGAIN, WTF!?! She wants to stick me in a hospital room for two days while she knows that at any time the ectopic could rupture and I could die. She was more concerned with waiting to come back and charging her attending fees than actually caring for a patient that was proven to have a life-threatening, emergency condition. When I heard this B.S. I went awol from my room, taking my family with me and headed straight back to the ER dr. who had first examined me. He was astonished! He told me "you need to report her & fire her immediately!" He found me another OB/Gyn that took over the situation and within one hour I was administered an injection of Methotrexate to stop the embryo from growing and sent home an hour after that. Taken care of in under two hours, not two full days in a hospital room! Yes, I also agree with the rest of you-- horrible waits!! Also, what's up with all the cosmetic surgery advertising? She's an OB/Gyn but she also has a full day of every week dedicated to clients having botox and restylane, etc. She is a money-grubbing P.O.S. that should be run back to Haiti where she could get some perspective on what really matters-- Family, life and love. I've been a patient of Dr. Baptiste for almost three years, so you'd think my rating would be better. My experiences with her up until this point have been mostly positive, if not average. However, I'd only ever been to her for my yearly check ups. When I actually had a problem, I sorry to say it was a bad experience. Her new office (I've never been to the same place twice, by the way. This is the third time they've moved in like two years) is sort of terrible. It's set up more like a law office, so there's no real reception area, which makes for awkward sitting in a corridor without a welcome desk. Also, I could hear the doctor telling patient health details to the receptionist, which kind of bothered me. There's no privacy at all. As far as the doctor goes (as the doctor is really the important thing to review) I went in to see her about a problem that I was worried was serious. She sort of rushed through the exam, labeled the problem and then said to treat it at home. When I asked about things like causes and prevention she got a little irritated with me, which made me feel bad. I left not feeling relieved or enlightened. I actually GOOGLED the condition and called another doctor from back home. It turns out that she should have run bloodwork and other tests...what I had could be symptomatic of larger issues. That's kind of a kick in the proverbial nuts. So, I made an appointment at a different clinic for the next day, where they agreed that I needed to have more tests done. So far, so good on everything, but the experience really bummed me out. I feel like doctors have a responsibility to your health. Anyway, as a final blow (and one last star off my rating), I called this morning to cancel tomorrow's appointment. I was reminded to do it by an email I got confirming the appointment. I called the office, the receptionist answered curtly and I gave her my reason for calling. She just said, "You don't have an appointment for tomorrow." I told her I had just received my confirmation email. Reply, "Yeah, well you're not in the schedule." Sooo... glad I decided I need a new doctor, as not only was I not listed for a CONFIRMED appointment, but the receptionist was just plain rude about it. Why? Bottom line, you want your healthcare professional to be part of a kind, informative and knowledgeable team. I never minded the Doctor's lukewarm demeanor, as long as I was taken care of. ESPECIALLY with OBGYN's, I need someone I can trust and feel safe with. Now, the search continues. read more

Spend your money at a Planned Parenthood in stead This dr. couldn't believe that i was happily married for almost 7 years on my first visit to her & we had no babies--"Why no babies"--WHAT THE HECK is this lady asking me, I came here for my annual woman exam & to discuss various birth control options, as I made very clear when I made the appointment. If she cared at all about her new patients, she would read their chart & know what they are here for, and not begin to uncomfortably grill them about their fertility. I worked at a Planned Parenthood in FL & know about this IUD called the Mirena, that is NOT copper. I started to ask Dr. Dauphin-Baptiste about IUD options & she cut me off saying that IUD is only an option for a woman who's had a child. No discussion, and she'd never even heard of the Mirena. Not to mention her bed side manner is beyond cold & rough, and the forgetfulness is a bit much. Since the Dr. does make you wait a very long time, I thought for sure they would validate the parking, so when I asked the staff if they did validate to waive the $3/hour fee they just about laughed at me & said "Didn't we give you a box of one month of free sample, that is $30 worth of birth control, that should more than cover your parking." They had to give me a sample of pills b/c I wouldn't take a 'script for any of the weird pills she was offering. Don't go, just don't. Maybe if you are going to have a baby she & her staff will be more respectful--which is awful that you have to procreate to get respect from teh medical field as a patient. If you go to a Planned Parenthood, there is no judgement, just honest information. UPDATE-I just requested MY medical records to be faxed over to my new Dr.'s office and there is a $25 fee for them to pull MY records out of my file & fax them over to the Dr.'s office--NO COPIES being made here, just a fax-WTF, money grubbin' doctors pushing botex in their lobby!!! read more

This is the first review I have ever written, but I feel it is important to warn women of this horrible "doctor". I agree with others that she spoke to me like I was a child but worst than her attitude was the misinformation. My purpose to see this doctor was to get an IUD, which is what I told her secretary over the phone when I made the appointment. But when I saw the doctor she told me she does not do IUD's, and then proceeded to give me some quack speech which equated IUD's with abortion! Then she had the nerve to make a sales pitch for some form of contraceptive that I keep seeing commercials for but which I am not interested in. So now I am in a gown ready to just take off but she decides that since I'm there might as well do a pap smear. She did her job and left me there bleeding on her table, did not offer anything for me to clean up or a sanitary napkin nothing. It was a shocking and humiliating experience. Extremely a rude physician who clearly lacks empathy for her patients. If you like to be mistreated, belittled, and humiliated, see Dauphin-Baptiste. Even Veterinarians show more respect to their patients. It amazes me that doctors like her continue to hold a medical license in this country. read more

Overall worst OBGYN experience I have ever had. Excruciating wait time, unfriendly nursing staff, dispassionate doctoring, painful exams, lack of contact with patient, and horrible choice of prescriptions. Not willing to take the time to inform patients, and they do not answer questions. Abrupt, rude, and negligent. HORRIBLE! I would not get pregnant while going to that office for care! read more

Dr. Baptiste is a great gynocologist. Yes, you wait a little bit. Yes, her office is set up weird but the people are nice who work there and you can get to see her right away. On several occasions, I have had real conversations with her about my health and she has explained it with knowledge and even showed me diagrams to explain. My two sons wait in the corridor and the receptionist offered them cookies and water. She delivered my niece and has been helping women for decades. Some of these reviews don't even seem legit as she is a gyno, not a regular doctor. I don't know why you'd be seeing her for a swollen foot or a sinus infection? At any rate, I feel very comfortable with her in a vulnerable situation. read more

i have tried to get an appointment for 2 weeks... the phone line either goes to a full message box or no responce to my left message. the one time I got through I was told to call back because they were having a problem with their computer. They wouldn't even set up an apointment on paper.... it had to be on their computer... they never got back to me for an apointment... I'M LUCKY I'M NOT ILL NOR DEVLIVERING A BABY... STAY AWAY. I saw Dr. Baptiste for about a year or so. I kept telling myself that this was going to be the last time I saw her. But, I really hate seeing a new GYN. But, my last time was truely the last time. You do a lot of waiting at this office. Can be over an hour. The doctor seemed to question her own judgement. She would run a test on me, then on my next visit she would ask herself aloud why she ran that test! She was great my forst appointment, but in subsequent appointments was always rushed and seemed as though she wasn't there. She would say she was going to write a perscription or re-do my blood pressure, but then would totally forget a few minutes later. TERRIBLE about calling with results. The straw that broke the camels back is that I had to call their office 6 times to get my pap results. I also needed to speak with the doctor and they kept saying she would call me back. Again I had to keep calling to get this woman on the phone. They really just don't seem to care about you. Just that they get paid. read more

This doctor almost killed me. My son was two weeks late and "over 10lbs" she said and she refused to give me a C-section. She said I had to be induced and after 16 hours of labor I developed a raging infection that turned into sepsis. The nurses could not reach the doctor and finally another doctor had to step in for an emergency C-section. She walked in about halfway through the operation and demanded to take over and the other doctor wouldn't let her finish. Thank god! My son ended up in the NICU and has autism. read more

I am in total shock over the reviews I've read regarding Dr Baptiste. she delivered my daughter, now going on 19, on Father's Day of 1990. I am one of those people who is scared to death of doctors and must say she made me feel pretty much at ease. She was great in the delivery room as well. She is very business like, straight forward and does't candy coat everything, but I'd much rather have that type of doctor. I dont know how much she's changed at all but would definately go to her again. read more
