I had acne, hair loss, constant fatigue, light sensitivity, shortness of breath, unexplained weight gain, and a swollen stomach no matter how much I exercised. I originally came in for what I thought would be a routine checkup. However, Dr. Shiva took one look at my symptoms and my stomach and told me she believed I needed a Pap smear and further testing because she suspected fibroids. She was absolutely right. I had two fibroids, one the size of an orange, and the other the size of a golf ball. She immediately referred me to the appropriate specialists, and I successfully underwent surgery to have them removed. Dr. Shiva also discovered I had thyroid issues, including Hashimoto's disease and Graves disease. She referred me to the right specialists, and today my thyroid levels are finally back to normal. She also noticed my boob was lactating, but I didn't have a small child that was breastfeeding. She sent me to a specialist and I ended up getting my boob aspirated. I was also experiencing severe hair loss and acne. She sent me to a specialist and they treated my hair loss and acne. Thanks to Dr. Shiva's referrals and guidance, my hair is growing back and I am no longer experiencing any health issues. Thanks to Dr. Shiva, I am finally healthy again and feeling like myself. I cannot thank her enough for the care she has provided over the years. If you are looking for a doctor who truly cares about her patients and is committed to finding answers, I highly recommend Dr. Shiva and Miracle Women's Medical Clinic. Thank you Doctor Shiva and thank you to all the kind staff a Mircle women's health!!!!!

That alone speaks to the incredible trust and confidence I have in him. Dr. Ayalon is knowledgeable, compassionate, and always takes the time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable. Pregnancy can be overwhelming, but he has a way of making you feel calm, heard, and genuinely cared for. The entire staff is just as amazing. Every single person I've interacted with has been kind, professional and welcoming. They always make me feel like more than just another patient, and that's something you don't find everywhere. I'm so grateful to have found his practice years ago, and I wouldn't want anyone else caring for me or my babies. I am having my FIRST baby and he made me feel so anxious and worried rather than reassure me that we can get through this. He basically implied that I will have pre-eclampsia, and gestational diabetes. When I asked why he said that IVF was "unnatural" and "overweight" and "age". While I understand that all of these things may be true there is a better way to approach these things. The doctor also said "open wide" like my vagina was my mouth. It was just unnerving. If this appointment was my first time seeing my baby I would have been SO disappointed because the ultrasound images were HORRIBLE. They don't even LOOK like a baby. Luckily, I had amazing photos from the IVF doctor. It was also not just the doctor, but the intake person also asked me about a procedure I had and I couldn't recall the name of it but was saying it was called...hystero-something and she asked if I had a hysterectomy...I looked at her and said "well, I'm pregnant, so it's not that." I also asked if they had worked with any Doulas they had no clue what I was asking. It was just overall very disappointing and I will not be going back.

I worked with her for about 8 months when my husband and I were struggling to get pregnant with our third child. I've never had a doctor ask me about my childhood, and even my parents' childhood. It's clear she's recognizes that the pain and sickness we carry in our bodies isn't just a result of genetics or diet. It's also a result of generational trauma. I still reflect on our deep and heartfelt discussions and believe that these discussions positively impacted my mental health and ultimately my fertility. I also appreciate that Dr. Koopersmith never pressured me to get on fertility drugs. Of course, it's an important step for some. However, she knew I had a history of conceiving health children. I was just older. She advised me to clean up my diet (no diary, no soy, no gluten), work on my mental health, and just keep trying to conceive. It worked. We had a beautiful baby boy on October, and I had have Dr. Koopersmith to thank for it.

She is also WAY more personable than a typical "in and out in 15 minutes" doctor in today's modern medical system. I have great doctors at Cedars - and she eclipses them ALL ... literally BY MILES AND MILES AND MILES. No comparison!! NONE. I am a 60+ yo woman with excellent health and insurance - but I suddenly had a "downstairs" issue - and no Cedars or UCLA Gyn's were available for two months!!! In "desperation" - I came to Yelp and found Dr. Perlow. I had really not heard of the concept of "concierge" medicine ... but had to see someone immediately. I signed up for her service and as promised by her office staff - she got me in "the next day". The NEXT DAY. Going to see her is FAR more extensive and personal than the "usual" doctor. She gave me a comprehensive "head to toe" exam. Since she is a specialist in many areas beyond OBGYN - she has the experience and knowledge to be able to diagnose and treat special conditions like mine - AND she actually spent time with me to get to know my situation. She has excellent demeanor with her patients, understands a woman's body and hormones and gives each patient the time and respect that they deserve. She was wonderful about having my partner accompany me during a diagnostic procedure in her office as well. For those of you seeing her due to having babies - never fear that this is the only time you can have a doctor this good ... you can see her the rest of your life AND SHE IS SO worth every penny. My partner actually said not to post a review so we can keep her all to ourselves - as she will soon be a new Dr. Perlow patient too! The annual charge for a concierge doctor is pricey - not going to belittle that fact - but I am prioritizing her annual fee into my budget because I feel she is just THAT good and I want to be able to reach my doctor directly (if needed) at a moments notice. You can divide up the annual charge quarterly or semi-annually to make it easier to handle. I feel blessed to have found her - and thanks to her - got treated easily and early for a rare condition that could have developed into cancer. Cost of that? Priceless. And PS - the negative reviews here??? Read them closely ... they all have to do with HOW BUSY she "was" and how difficult it "was" to get in to see her BEFORE she became a concierge doctor - SINCE SHE WAS (is) SO popular!!!! There "IS" a reason why she was / is so popular that she can now charge an annual fee - because she is the BEST, most caring and personal doctor you will ever have - at any life stage you are in.

*WARNING! REVIEW CONTAINS SENSITIVE AND TRIGGERING TERMINOLOGY/SUBJECTS*…read more I have never been shy of sharing my journey with Stage 4 Endometriosis and cancerous ovarian cysts. I was diagnosed at 16 with this horrific illness and still suffer into my 40s. It is one of the worst conditions imaginable and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemies but being that 1 in 10 women suffer in the US alone... I am not alone in this hellscape that has no cure or treatment. Despite being in perimenopause; my cysts are still out of control and I recently had a two-pronged crazy emergency: 1) I had so many large cysts that they were a danger to me and needed to be vacated 2) the cysts made my body think it was pregnant and created a sac! I basically needed an emergency procedure in the vein of a surgical abortion so that it be would less evasive than cutting me open like a frog in a high school biology class. I have Medi-Cal public health insurance and my gynecologist said to go through Family Planning Associates. I have seen my Medi-Cal health plan boast about Family Planning Associates but I never thought twice about it because I assumed it solely services for expectant mothers. What is FPA, ACTUALLY? FPA is a system of private clinics founded in 1969 (several locations in LA and Orange counties) that provide gynecological services, STD testing, pap smear testing, cancer testing, birth control, the distribution of condoms, the expectant mother services I assumed and... the ever so controversial: abortions. Basically, Family Planning Associates is like Planned Parenthood's cooler, rich cousin as it is not publicly funded but instead a privately-owned medical group but luckily DO accept public insurance in addition to private insurance. Plus, they have AMAZING Yelp reviews at every location, online, etc; so, I was feeling good about my gyno's suggestion. I initially called FPA in Glendale and explained my situation and that I basically need a surgerical abortion for my endo. The female (it seems all locations are teamed with an all-female staff: woo hoo!) was so very kind, patient and said that their location doesn't provide that service but she can make me an appointment through the computer reservation system for another location versus making me have to make an additional call. I was quite relieved with this being I was already anxious and made an appointment for the Mission Hills location. Amazingly, they had openings the very next day (each location only does these procedures one day a week) but I opted for the next week. While waiting for my appointment, FPA sends you texts to fill out online paperwork in their portal to speed up the process upon arrival and offers online supplements to prepare you and answer any questions beforehand helping to ease any confusion. They also send reminder texts and are with you every step of the way. The Mission Hills location of FPA is located in lovely building that almost reminds of an apartment building or hotel and isn't 'shady' in the least. Also, a bonus: no protestors outside which I honestly was expecting and I was ready to give THEM a lesson on endometriosis and the importance of saving women's lives. The office opens to spacious lobby with natural light, artwork and a large television and has a calming presence which is important in such a stressor-setting. Check-in was easy and the female staff at FPA Mission Hills were also super kind and courteous. I will complain about the fact that the cellphone internet service signal is awful at FPA. Even the employees complained but that is often the case at medical facilities. I won't get into details of the procedure as Yelp isn't the place for that but I will say that I was in great hands. I was worried that FPA would be ill-prepared for my endo and ovarian cysts with little experience; but all of the staff seemed confident and the doctor was amazing being educated and professional but also with a friendly, disarming bedside manner. I had slight complications when I woke up from my anesthesia and they took care of it immediately. After two weeks; I returned to FPA Mission Hills for my recovery checkup and I was met with the same kind service from staff who answered all my questions with expertise and even some humor and assured me that if I have ANY issues moving forward; to call them without any hesitation. Luckily, they said I was healing perfectly which is actually shocking for my 5x autoimmune body. One of my favorite parts of FPA is that they have a 24-hour nurse on hand to call with any issues or questions and they kindly text you after the procedure reaching out with the lovely intent of asking if you are healing well. FPA definitely makes you feel secure in your recovery. FPA is amazing and absolutely recommended to the fullest extent for all your gyno needs with private or Medi-Cal insurance. You are in good hands with FPA!
