I have been a patient here for a very long time (and have referred many people over the years) even after moving farther and farther away, because Dr. Seybold is the best. Now, there is no way I'm stepping foot in that place again. Today's appt had been scheduled since a couple months ago. Earlier this week they called twice asking if I could come in earlier. Both times I said 'no 10 is the earliest I can do as I live an hour away now', etc. So I left at 9 am and en route at around 9:20, this younger front desk girl, calls to tell me they have no X-rays on file for me and my insurance won't cover new ones because I had X-rays taken (a few months ago) with another dentist. I pulled over to the side of the road and explained to her that if I had to pay out of pocket for new X-rays then I would need to cancel this appt as I wasn't prepared to do that. It also made no sense because I had forwarded them my recent X-rays from the other dentist, they accepted those X-rays, and then right after that they did an exam and filled a cavity for me. So they had already seen my X-rays and should have had them on file from my last appt. Now of a sudden there are no X-rays in my chart and they need to take some just for a cleaning? If there was something else to this she surely didn't explain it to me. She just continued repeating that they didn't have any X-rays for me in my chart. I told her I was the one who forwarded them from the other dentist's office just a few months prior so I knew they have them. She said, "I'm looking in past emails and don't see anything." I then had to go through my sent emails folder, found the email string right away, and re-forwarded them to her. She then said she had to 'show them to the dentist and the hygienist and would call me back'. Why this was necessary I have no idea. I told her to hurry because I was pulled over on the side of the road, not sure if this appt can still happen or not. Then she calls back and says flatly "they can see you". No apology, no explanation, no attempt to smooth things over. I said ok but I might be a little late now due to all this back and forth. And she had the gall to challenge me over whether I left for the appt. She said "oh so you didn't leave yet like you said you did?" I said 'no I told you, I left the house at 9 and was driving when I got your call but had to pull over to hash this out with you, send my X-rays again, then wait for you to confirm the appt can proceed (without new X-rays required). So now I'm going to start driving again but might be a little late'. She then tells me if I'm late, my appt might get bumped. UNREAL. I said if I do end up late it's obvs their fault bc of this X-ray ridiculousness and they should accommodate. Her response? NO AND THIS WAS NOT OUR FAULT. At that point I had had enough and told her I would have to take my business elsewhere after so many years. She then said to me, verbatim, "no you've seen other dentists too." WTF. That doesn't mean I'm not a long-time patient. And for the record, I have only gone to one other dentist in all this time, now that I've moved to Lake County, but switched back to Roselle right after. She was just hell bent on contesting every single thing I said. Were they trying to get me to cancel this appointment? She had already called twice that week asking me to change the time. Or was it a mis-handling by the office staff as it appeared to be. Or something else no one had the courtesy to explain? If X-rays are sent via email, you'd think it necessary to add them to the patient's chart, or bare minimum make a note in their file and/or chart i.e., "X-rays were forwarded by patient from another dentist on x date - check email records for X-rays". And you should own it if you make a mistake. There was absolutely no accountability whatsoever and zero understanding of how customer service works. This girl at the front desk is wildly unprofessional and incompetent. I don't know if she is related to someone there and that is how she got the job? But she just cost them a long-time, loyal customer / patient. And I don't know if Dr. Seybold knows what really transpired today. I emailed him but am fairly certain the front desk personnel deleted it so he doesn't find out. He needs to know because this was absolutely appalling and something needs to be done. They're going to lose more patients if it continues. read more

The staff are very friendly. They treat you like you are part of their family. My hygienist Fhara is wonderful. Dr. Jackie is the best. I had an emergency on Saturday at the end of the day. She was on her way out but when she saw me she took me in and had an emergency tooth extraction. She saved me from misery of having to deal with the pain Her assistant was also great. I love Roselle Dental! I started going to them as a kid and sadly moved out of the area for awhile. When I moved back into the area, I couldn't wait to come back and it has been the best decision! Who knew it was difficult to actually find a decent dentist?! I have had the same hygienist Farrah since coming back and it's nice to catch up with her during my cleanings. She is always very knowledgeable and sweet. I currently work with Dr. Jackie for my Ortho treatment and she's awesome too! She explained to me beginning to end the treatment and is always available for questions. The staff here is very courteous and professional. I don't know how to explain it, but it's just comfortable. Last thing (promise), when I took my daughter to another dentist, they were able to review her X-rays and give me a second opinion! Rose, the receptionist, took charge and was able to get back to me promptly after discussing with the dentist. She has been there a long time and is always so kind and accommodating. My partner has been going to Roselle Dental all his life. He recommended I give them a try. We live in Chicago, so they honestly weren't my first choice, but I'm glad I finally made the drive. I was seen on time. Insurance was handled without issue. And my cleaning was very thorough. When I met the dentist, he explained the tightness in my jaw, neck & shoulders is likely due to me grinding my teeth at night & suggested I wear a mouth guard. My hygienist Farrah, was so thorough with my teeth cleaning..super accommodating with my sensitivity (she even warmed the water)! And went a second round to ensure she removed all my plaque!! When I was seen by Dr. Seybold for the actual exam, he uncovered a medical condition that took years to figure out! He helped me put the puzzle in place...he was MORE than a dentist, he was so informative.... Everyone in the office is super friendly and they make sure you are as comfortable as possible. They will ask you during a procedure if you're okay and if you're feeling pain they will remedy the situation. They even have sunglasses available if your eyes are sensitive to that bright light they use, which I think is genius! In short, they take the dread out of going to the dentist. read more

Coming from someone who once pretended to be asleep to avoid getting their teeth cleaned (when I was 6 or so), this is a great place to get your dental care. Friendly Staff! Convenient location to Roselle Metra, so it is accessible if you live in Chicago (I do.) Pleasant office to be in. They have tiny toothbrushes and mouthwash inside of the bathroom and often they are playing hits from the '80s, which work remarkably well for ambience...sometimes offices give you this New Age stuff - which takes you to a surreal place, and then maybe to fear, because of the dentist (dentists aren't scary...but childhood still manages to show up for a moment on any given visit, I guess) Once they played Gladys Knight & the Pips. You get phone calls about upcoming reservations. I've gotten fillings and a root canal here and all were actually kind of pleasant, though not pleasant enough that I have decided to intentionally continue poor dental care to continue getting them. Walking distance from a Walgreens, a McDonalds, and also an auto dealership. As far as dentists go, you will get a dentist if you're getting fillings or root canals or other surgeries - and usually they check the X-Rays or do a spot check at the end of routine cleanings (they go for twice-a-year). I go with Dr. Peter Chang - I don't know about the other main dentist(s) there. Highly recommend Peter and the rest of the staff! read more

All the way around.....fantastic!! When I first moved to the area over 15 years ago, I tried a different dental practice so I didn't have to travel so far to my old one. I did not like the new one I tried and didn't want the hassle of trying another one. So I decided to make the 33 mile trek for years to my old dentist because I really liked them and trusted them and had been a longtime patient. I didn't think I'd find another as good. It wasn't until about a year ago I was referred to Roselle Dental Center and....OMG I was kicking myself in the butt for not finding them earlier! So friendly! So clean! So professional! They are simply awesome! On top of it, I can now have more flexibility for scheduling my appointments because they are close to both home and work. But more so they are simply great! A five star rating doesn't come close to how high I would rate Dr. Seybold and his wonderful staff. I'm a former Chicagoan who moved to the West Coast in recent years. Unfortunately, I developed a very painful and severe case of TMJ. I guess I clench my jaw a lot and have been symptomatic for years but didn't realize it until I was suffering from chronic and almost daily non stop migraines, visual disturbances, jaw pain inflammation, and unbearable neck, and upper back, shoulder, facial and head pain for months. I tried everything under the sun to try to relieve my TMJ symptoms including massage therapy, having a custom made splint that I wore day and night, acupuncture, chiropractic care, cupping on all areas Including my face, eating a soft diet, limiting my jaw motion, taking pain medication etc. Even despite all these efforts I was suffering daily from pain and unable to eat a proper diet, sleep or get through a day without pain and migraines. I researched tons of TmJ and other dental specialists in the NorCal area not to find one doctor who offered the same kind of treatment that Dr. Seybold does for his TMJ patients. I was so desperate for relief I was considering getting Botox injections but I was concerned about long term side effects of such treatment. Therefore, before doing so, I wanted to see if Dr. Seybold could help treat me first. I booked my flights and made all the necessary appointments at Roselle Dental. Within less than 30 mins of my appointment, I finally felt relief from pain in my mouth, jaw, shoulders and neck that I was suffering from for months. Dr. Seybolds TMJ treatment and therapy is unlike any other and it works! All of his staff was so caring and gracious and made the entire process for me so easy and seamless. Just within 3 days, I felt such a positive and significant difference after receiving treatment and care from Dr. Seybold. The most amazing thing is, I can continue my therapy at home now. Even a week later, I'm only feeling better and continuing to see improvement eAch and every day. I cannot thank Dr. Seybold and his entire staff for the care and treatment they provided me. I feel like I can live a normal life again because of him. It's still Unbelievable to me that no one in NorCal offers the kind of TMJ treatment he does. Ive been there 4-5 times over a couple of years. Great staff. I did have routine things performed here, fillings, cleanings. Here's the problem. I had pain in a tooth. I figured it was just another cavity, ok. Im 55, I have fillings already. The diagnosis was I needed a crown. Ok I have other crowns so it made sense. The procedure went as usual but after still had pain in that spot. I went back more than once and they couldn't figure it out. The crown that was made has a gap at the interior gum line. Is food particles getting in there? I dont know but the pain still existed. I went to another dentist. I had a cavity in the tooth next to the installed crown. They filled it pain goes away. With my insurance my end of the bill was $600.00! Did I really need a crown in the 1st place? read more
