I had food delivered this morning from this location and it was so good! The delivery was quick because the food was made quickly and we had a good Uber Eats driver. I ordered the brisket, cheese, and egg on a toasted sesame. What struck me most was how soft the bagels are. The dough is boiled before being cooked, which is the secret to a good bagel. Here at Rocksalt Rosemary, they add a little something to that water it's boiled in and it makes the bagels so much better! My husband had a hash brown and everything bagel. Was at The Drive waiting for some friends to get together for dinner and saw Rosemary Rocksalt. Decided to go in and try one of their bagels for breakfast the next morning. At $1.99 per bagel or $9.99 per half dozen (6 bagels), Rosemary Rocksalt prices are pretty competitive especially since the grocery store bagels are $1.69 each. Their bagels are smaller and thinner but are denser and chewier, which is the Montreal style. I ordered the classic Rosemary Rocksalt bagel and as it was 40 minutes to closing time, the nice staff gave me the last Rosemary Rocksalt bagel for free so I got two bagels for the price of one! Bagel still tasted delicious the next morning and was beautifully infused with rocksalt and rosemary. This is now definitely one of the best bagels I've had around the city but am sad that there isn't a location near my house or office. Next time, I'm definitely going to also buy and purchase one of their specialty cream cheeses (about 200g container ranging from $7.49 to $7.99 each). read more

Rosemary and rocksalt. That's their namesake bagel, and that's the reason why you visit this bagel shop. In terms of taste, this is a great spot. I got the Steveston bagel sandwich, and I was quite impressed with how it tasted. It's a quality sandwich which makes for a good breakfast, and the rosemary rocksalt bagel is unique and super tasty. The bagel itself, while tasty, is a tad small. Given that these are Montreal-style bagels, they're expected to be somewhat thin with a wide bore in the middle, but given it's price, you wish the bagels were bigger. I came here to grab some bagels for lunch after work on a Saturday. I ended up getting the Hastings Sunrise and the Whistler. No real complaints about either but nothing spectacular either. I wished the Montreal smoked meat had a bit more flavour but this is comparing it to the Schwartz in Montreal which may be a bit unfair. read more

Today I ordered for breakfast from uber eats only to get my food with a long blonde hair wrapped around my sandwich through my meat. I am beyond disgusted by this. So amazing! I had the rainbow bagel with almond and honey cream cheese. I regret not getting a whole tub of the cream cheese. This place had extremely friendly staff and my order was made very quickly. We went with a few cinnamon, a few everything, and a half a dozen rosemary rocksalt bagels. My preference is their specialty, the rosemary rocksalt. I toast 'em and slap as much cream cheese on them that nature allows. One peculiar thing about their bagels is the size of the hole. It's big. I'm not sure why, but it's simply a larger hole. I want to suggest a reason for this phenomenon, but I'll leave it to the bagel specialists. In any case, I prefer these bagels over a number of the competitors in the local market. read more

Delicious bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The flavours of sweet, savoury, and salty combined are really great. It's really nice to find a bagel with so much flavour and not just chewy bread. Waffle fries are delicious too. My only complaint would be that my order arrived a bit soggy, which meant the paper was stuck to the bagel, and the portion is quite small. Having ordered from Siegel's and Solly's before, the bagels here are definitely smaller, so the sandwiches themselves end up being tiny compared to other bagel sandwiches from different shops. This is the first time I tried this location. I was happy to find the rainbow bagels here; they look so pretty. There are several options for bagels. I was surprised that the bagels were 2.50 each, and that's to go (with nothing on them). I was happy to see they sold the Montreal smoked beef separately as an option, so I could make my own sandwich at home. It was 5.99/100 g. The meat was fresh and authentic Montreal meat. I wasn't blown away by anything, but I would probably have to try some of their in house sandwiches as well to determine the overall experience. The bagels were very disappointing. I've eaten bagels from east to west coasts, up and down, and even over seas, but this one was one of the more disappointing. They were small, extremely doughy texture inside (not in the good way), and the flavor was so bland. Big surprise as the fire burning oven lokked like it could produce so much better if the dough was prepared, boiled, and baked correctly. While service was generally friendly, it was ridiculously slow and inefficient even when they were not busy. Bagels are definitely fresh. This location has first week jitters. My order to a while to make, but the server at the register was kind enough to offer me a free bagel for my next visit. A few tables and some few chairs with a pretty cool mural makes this location quite fun and hip. I felt my bagel sandwich was just an okay sandwich. The toasted bagel quite small. Think a small hamburger bun with a giant patty. It was a little soggy while it was transported from store to work (Britannia Centre). Although, the stack of Montreal smoked meats was a plenty, slippery tomato cause the a soggy bottom to be come slick and oily. It's been a couple years since I returned to Rosemary rock salt. My first experience was not good and I usually went to Eurocafe to buy their bagels but due to COVID they have shut down. Rosemary Rocksalt continues to disappoint with bagels so weird and thin with holes in the centre that are 3 inches wide. I measured it, seriously.
