I was visiting with my partner on vacation. We were really craving bagels for our road trip. I think the bagels were just okay nothing special and on the smaller side considering they are speciality bagels! Service was fast and easy.

We stopped by to check out the place and left with a couple of dozens of everything bagels! They are very tasty, crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The gentleman working there was very nice too.

Hastings Sunrise. Very good, perfect size for me...but can understand some people complaining there isn't enough meat on there. Plus, the bagels are on the smaller side. I highly recommend trying this on a Rosemary Rocksalt bagel.

Good but nothing to write home about for the cost. Extra star because I appreciate the gluten free and vegan options.

    Steveston Bagel

I absolutely LOVE this place, the Steveston bagel is my go to and the service is always excellent. It has a bathroom, great drinks, awesome seating area selection and always nearby parking. The only reason I don't give five stars is because it's a treat! Meaning it it's a little out of my budget for a bagel. But well worth the money when I do decide to treat myself.

Visiting Vancouver and thought I would give this place a try as I absolutely love bagels. This is why my score is only 2. The cafe itself was clean, organized and the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu has great variety for us bagel snobs and the price range is fair. It's not cheap but it's not expensive either. I decided to try their WHISTLER Breakfast Bagel on the Rosemary Rock Salt Bagel, which is their trademark. The packaging was very tasteful and the branding absolutely dead on and the ingredients were fresh. However, a couple of bites into the bagel I quickly realized that the bagel was completely RAW on the inside. It was difficult at first to see and taste, because it's covered with cream cheese, but nevertheless, the texture and taste of RAW DOUGH presented itself, and as I scraped off the cream cheese it was apparent that this bagel was completely undercooked. In food, raw dough whether it's a pizza or any other pastry....is a huge disappointment....not to mention risks of digestive issues. You're on the right track Rosemary Rocksalt......just give your bagels a little more time in the oven!

I ended up here since I knew I was going to be in the area again. A quick peek on Yelp and I knew this was a place to check out. It did not disappoint. A comment before I continue. I am not a smoked meat expert. This will be the third time that I've had Montreal smoked meat. At this point in time, I can't say that I'm a huge fan of it since I've yet to find one that wows me. No exception here. However, of the ones I've tried so far, this is the best. Decent flavours and a good amount of fat for moistness. That said, the bagels are excellent. I came in and wanted something simple. Smoked meat on whole wheat, and smoked meat on rosemary rock salt. The whole wheat bagel was not bad. Good texture with a bit of a chew but not too chewy. The rosemary rock salt was something else. This was a winner in terms of taste and flavours. This took the smoked meat to another level. In fact, I end up getting a third bagel. Smoked meat with jalapeno and cheddar on a rosemary rock bagel. This hit everything out of the park. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavour combination on this one. I understand that there is now a location on Main and Broadway. Good, because that's where I'll be headed for my fix.

This is well worth a stop if you like bagels and Montreal smoked beef. They also offer other meat and veggie choices, but I get excited when I find a place that does Montreal smoked beef well. It tasted authentic, they serve up a good amount and put it on a fresh bagel. You can choose from a wide variety of bagels that are freshly baked in house. It's a nice gem in the neighborhood.

SO GOOD. Very clean inside and super friendly staff working. Food is amazing. Highly recommend.

What an impressive experience. They have multiple locations and I hope the food and service are as good there as it was here. We have lots of bagel places back home in Chicago. What we don't have is a bagel place that makes a rosemary rock salt bagel. I picked the rosemary as the bagel for my breakfast sandwich and was not disappointed. Full of flavor and just enough salt. The smoked meat seems to be a flavorful tender cut of beef brisket. Watching the employees boil the bagels, put them in wood planks, season them, and slide them in to the oven was pretty cool. The bagels remain on the plank until they come out of the oven and are placed in cooling crates. It's nice to see your food made fresh. The service was great too. All four employees were smiling and honestly friendly. They seemed to enjoy working together and it didn't seem like just a fake "thank you" at the end. One of the employees knew it was our first visit and even came over to see how we liked the bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The prices were a little high but seems to be the norm for this neighborhood. It also helped even though there is mostly just street parking we found a spot in the tiny lot behind the building. I'd happily return to this or any other Rosemary Rock Salt bagel shop.

A special kind of torture. One that includes memories of a past life of gluten consumption.

They've been around since 1990 and are known for their Montreal-style bagels and smoked meat, with bagels baked in a traditional flame oven using fresh ingredients. We arrived late in the day, near closing so by the time we got there, they had already sold out of a few bagel varieties. You can keep it simple and order bagels and flavored cream cheeses, or go for deli items and full sandwiches featuring Montreal smoked meat. I went with the regular Montreal smoked meat sandwich. It didn't take long to prepare, and we took our food over to the market's dining area. The portion was generous and came with a pickle on the side. The bagel itself tasted fairly standard to me--though to be fair, it was the end of the day--but the smoked meat was the real highlight: moist, tender, and full of flavor. That's the part I kept going back to bite after bite. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by. It's an easy, satisfying market meal and a great way to try a bit of Montreal-style deli culture in Vancouver. Next time, I'd definitely go earlier in the day for the full selection.

Came in the afternoon. There was so line whatsoever, no one before or after me. Looked like they had some online orders. The lady who took my order was impatient when I was ordering and kept rolled her eyes when I asked if there was anything else I should try. So I only ended up ordering the one popular bagel I see everyone get. Pick up was awkward, they didn't call out a number or wave me over. They just left it on the counter till I asked. I stood near them the whole time so I would've miss my order. Overall, wouldn't come back bc of that experience but also the bagel was okay. Either way it's probably worth a try if you're in this market place anyways.

I had a very hard time choosing which flavors to get because they seriously all sounded good, but I went with: honey butter, red bean & cream cheese, and kinako chocolate. They were all really delicious but kinako chocolate was a stand out for me! Second favorite was the red bean & cream cheese for sure. I really wish that I had asked them to heat it up for us but I was worried that it'd get hard by the time we got back to the hotel. My only regret is that I couldn't finish all 3 bagels in one sitting and that I didn't stay longer to try out all the other flavors!

Well, let me say first of all, that I would probably never come back, but certainly not without a coupon! Their sandwiches are ridiculously over-priced. They also do not let you use the coupon for salmon (lox) or the 'club' sandwiches. I asked for my bagel NOT toasted, but after eating my sandwich, I'm thinking I should've had it toasted because the bagel is not fresh. It's hard and way too chewy.
