There is ample parking. The meeting spaces are clean and well maintained. The A/V equipment worked well and there were ample power plugs. The wifi was good but unsecured. Bathrooms were plenty and constantly cleaned. The food was really a cut above. Breakfast had fresh fruit, hot items and bakery/ cereal items. The coffee and tea flowed freely. Lunches seemed to have had nutritionist input and careful thought to include heathy fresh veggies, vegetarian options, and gluten free options, with labels on each dish, and staff available for questions. Desserts were lovely and snacks at breaks were interesting and varied (see churro comment above). The venue is adjacent to the Boardwalk Inn and the boardwalk itself, which is a nice place to walk and boasts many dining/entertainment venues. Hope I can return!

I remember there used to be a Shell gas station with a Dunkin' Donuts here which we would go to but both closed down around 2013. It's really unfortunate how this plaza never really took off, on Google Maps and Earth it shows the plaza being built in 2007-2008 and it's a beautiful Roman Mediterranean-style plaza completed around 2010. When you go back on the history of this plaza you see that the spaces have struggled to get leased out despite the area being new, the businesses that were here but are now gone did quite well for the time despite all that. Around 2015 the old Shell gas station price board following the decommissioning of the gas station was changed to have a sign that was illuminated talking about a Kobe Japanese steakhouse that was coming soon in that plaza. It's been 10 years since then and it's never opened up, sadly seeming like a futile attempt at reviving the place. These days the gas station and car wash remain abandoned, but the plaza has seen somewhat of a decent revival with more of the spaces being taken up by businesses. Some of the original businesses that left because of Covid have even returned today which is a great sight. It seems like the plaza has since been renamed City Lake Pointe, similar to the apartment complex of the same name that was built after it. Based on the history of this place and Ms. L's previous review of this place (and her very interesting point about the irony of the statues), it becomes clear that this place was just a victim of wrong timing. I hope one day this plaza will be renovated and bustling, finally giving it the well-deserved success that was taken from it.

There are 2 carves ornate benches in marble I think not sure what kinds of stone it is. The building itself is a 2 story with smaller figurines of Romans statues and Emperors on the roof. The courtyard is flank by 2 staircases that meets together at the top of the landing where another Emperor presides. This is such a beautiful building, I would luv to see it occupied by interesting mix businesses. Now that I'm thinking about it, they might have jinxed themselves with so many emperors statues that had been either beheaded or killed.

The food was exceptional. there was a buffet where the food was very good and for my vegetarian husband and me, two vegetarian dishes were served by a wait person at our table and it was absolutely delicious. It had to be special ordered in advance but there was no extra charge. The chef they have must be amazing to have served such a creative dish. We weren't told what it was so I can't say, but I'll post a photo of it. It was cooked perfectly. Parking was plentiful. the venue is on the second floor. There were two staircases plus an elevator that is located next to the rear of Foxtail coffee. My only reservation is that during the cocktail hour, it would have been nice to have additional seating options and more tables to stand at and eat the hors d'oeuvres.

You load a card and you can pour your own beer. They ask for a tip when you load the card, which is a little awkward, but seems like many establishments are like this now. I need to say as a disclaimer I need to give this place another chance when they have some months under their belt, because their house beers are quite awful. The good news is they had guest taps or this visit would have been a bust. I love establishments which are local and also support local breweries. Violet's Venom is all that. And, I love the concept if not the execution. They have in door and out door seating and there are food option which you can order with a bar code. We couldn't find anything food wise which looked appetizing. Still though they also have some wine options. They are kid friendly from what I could tell from the kids outside. And big plus they have free wifi. I didn't get to use it though. The BEER: Hazy IPA Pilot Batch #1 4.7% ABV... ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE... either the batch was going bad or it was a bad batch... I poured it out... Yuck Sophia's Golden Imperial Stout 8.8% ABV... also not very good Brown Ale pilot Batch 2 4.3% ABV... it was almost good, but had a slightly off taste Molasses stout pilot batch 1 7.9% ABV... also not very good Can't believe I didn't find one of their beers I liked. Still I liked the venue and they had guest drafts. I settled in on a local Red Ale which did the job. I really wanted to like this place. The concept is great, but the execution not so much. Still it is very clean and the folks here are friendly enough. I'll be back.
