We have used Rosenbalm over the years for our garden bark, this year we ordered and recived 12 yards of red bark,this load of red bark was somewhat dirty and had some stuff other than bark. I brought this to there attention and the guys at the counter were very helpful explaining what can happen when getting to the end of a batch of bark. Our experience would have been better if the lady at the front desk last Sat. would have paid more attention to our directions and measurements. No matter what we said and repeated to her, she kept calculating and repeating the wrong measurements. Thank God for my Fiance' who knew what to recalculate and send to her before our order was delivered. She was trying to oversell us on 3.5 tons of rock when we simply needed about .33 ton for a very small area. Hint: 12 inches is not 12 feet! I went in completely not knowing much or having a plan. I had an idea and the workers there were able to make my idea clearer so I can form a solid plan. I did come prepared with measurements, which is really important so that they can give you exactly how much you need. I converted my lawn to garden and I was doing the work myself. I looked at all their samples and was deciding between red humus and gorilla hair. David, one of the workers, was able to give me the pros and cons on those two. Three different people gave me a price per yard, yet when I was ready to pay they based it on the weight of the wet product. Since I had them dump the decomposed granite in a bin, I was able to determine that I only received .84 of a yard. The Good, they have a good selection of rock and stone and are conveniently located right off the freeway. The young man who helped outside was great. He immediately stopped what he was doing and came over to offer assistance. Th Bad , it had rained the day before. The older guy, who loaded my rock, initially scooped the dry rock on top and then dumped it in the back of the pile. He then, grabbed a scoop off the bottom that contained a lot of "wet sand". Not what I wanted. The Ugly, when I went into the office to pay for my rock I explained this to the lady in the office. She couldn't care less and acted like this was a normal practice. No apology, just basically kind of rude. If I had a dump bed I would have just gone back to the lot and dumped the load out. My 2500 pounds of rock contained 500 pounds of sand and mud. read more

This was a hard rating for us. They get 5 stars for selection and helpful NON-office staff. The staff outside is awesome. They have always helped us find just what we are looking for, answer all our questions and have helped us load some extremely heavy items into our vehicles with care. If we could stay away from the office staff we would come here every time. The fun stops the moment you enter the office. The ladies in the office are as rude as can be. They need to go to Customer Service 101 immediately. They are rude, snooty and just plain bitchy. We have never had a single good interaction with them. Especially when my wife goes in first. We are as courteous as can be and we just get rude answers from them. We do everything we can to find our products elsewhere since their attitudes ruin up-to-that-point awesome experience. We assume they are family or somehow related to the owners since they could care less about their attitudes and should have been fired years ago. On Monday, April 8,2019, I made a small purchase over the phone with Rosenbalm Rockery. I made the purchase using a credit card. The following Friday I went to the bank to make a withdrawal. Much to my surprise the teller told me I was short because I had a hold on my account from Rosenbalm Rockery. I called RR and was informed they had used my credit card for a purchase that another customer had made. RR said they discovered the mistake about and hour later and reversed the charge.
