We briefly stopped in to check this place out... it didn't look that big from the Main Street but once we got off the car and started walking it was pretty big inside. The young lady who was at the register was sooo cute and very helpful she told us a little about the place and offered us the carts that they have up front. She said it was so big they offered to drive around in it. They had a sign for the bathrooms which I feel is very much needed. The sprinkles turned on and caught us off guard. I had such an amazing time at this nursery! Even with the triple-digit heat, there were plenty of shaded areas and a few seating throughout the property, making it comfortable to explore. OFFERING :: The nursery is huge and offers a wonderful variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, succulents, water-wise plants, and so many more. I love it how well organized their plants and have posted notes for each section. It just makes it so easy to find, care, and learn what kind of plants you want. They also have a charming garden shop tent with gifts, plant foods, outdoor pottery, and other unique finds. Value price are pretty fair. Visited for the first time through the yelp event "Coffee and Cacti". People that work here are very friendly and they greet you with a smile, which for me, it's what makes or breaks a business- friendly people. I had the class on how to plant a succulent and the worker that taught the class was very friendly and funny. Even though it was a short 20 min class I learned quite a lot. Belmont Nursery is like walking into a plant haven. They really have everything here, from maple trees to fruit salad trees to plenty of roses, shrubs, succulents, and even yard decor like fountains. Not to mention soil, seeds, bonsai kits, watering cans - literally the whole 9 yards. Definitely my highlight of the trip though was meeting the friendly, knowledgeable staff and the most adorable cat - Basil! He is there is protect the Belmont Nursery grounds and make sure no plant goes uncared for. My sister and mom come here more frequently than I do to get all their garden essentials, and they say it's pretty affordable and is the best place to go to for its wide selection. I definitely would come here if I was a more frequent gardener, but for now I'll have to stick to getting maybe a basil plant here and there for my garnish. read more

Ok folks I have to share this because what a fantastic event. It was called Sunset Western Garden Collection Seminar held at the Belmont Nursery in Fresno . The Sunset Garden Collection event at Belmont Nursery in Fresno was absolutely amazing and we discovered a stunning array of low-maintenance, water-wise plants for our outdoor space. We learned from expert Janet Sluis from Sunset Gardens about many plants and at the end of the presentation we were able to purchase products needed to actually make our own Porch planters with assistance not only from Janet but Make a porch planter. I have to say the owner Jon the Belmont Nursery staff this morning were absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. If you get a chance to attend their future events you must do it. The selection of gardening products and plants not to mention so many services to make your home projects successful is wonderful. My mother and I recently went there we needed assistance so we walked over and asked an employee for help . We came for the Fall Fest today. So my review is only based on the event and not as a customer for the nursery. We were told this was the first year of the Fall Fest. It was a pretty solid effort but definitely lacking in bringing in the crowds. I don't think they advertised their event very well. I only knew of this event because my mom is on the email list for the nursery. So unless you have personally purchased form this nursery and signed up for emails; you probably wouldn't know about this either. I was surprised no one set up the event details on yelp's events page. They have a lot more land than Gazebo Gardens so they really could have made this a bigger event than it was. They had a "guess the pumpkin weight" contest for a large pumpkin. I think they could have set this up with an actual pumpkin patch and with doing so they would have drawn in a bigger crowd. The staff were all friendly and easy to find if needed. Food trucks were a bit of a disappointment with only 2 serving food; a hot dog food truck and the other was a Mexican food truck. There was also a shaved ice truck and a kettle corn truck. The Mexican food was okay. The beans in my burrito tasted out of a can but the verde salsa was so good! We did walk about 1/3 of the nursery and they really have some great greenhouses. My favorite thing was the fresh fruit and veggie vendor. They had a great deal of a mixed fruit and veggie box for $20. Honestly, I would have liked to have seen more vendors selling fresh fruits, veggies and baked goods. They had a few other vendors that sold honey, jewelry, and wood decor. It was also a hot 96 degrees out today when we arrived at 4:30 pm. After and hour here, we were ready to call it and left. The biggest annoyance was the gnats. They were all over and a nuisance. We couldn't enjoy our food outdoors because of them. That was the main factor why we were ready to leave. read more

I was greatly impressed with the amount of personal service I received from every employee I spoke with. The selection is incredible, and I felt completely overwhelmed until someone walked up to me and asked if they could help. Just a great experience. I visited the nursery because of a fruit tree pruning class they were offering. I was blown away by the amount of useful information I received for 10 bucks. Not only did the speaker give a wonderful presentation on pruning trees, but the nursery also put out different fruit trees and she walked around and showed how she would prune those trees. The best part for me was when I git to ask personal questions about my specific pruning issues. It was honestly just a great event. While this place is a little far for me to drive, I really appreciate the personal touch and the massive selection. read more

The dude and I went to The Belmont Nursery on 7/30/22. It was the dudes and I first time here. We arrived and found parking so easily. We were shocked of how HUGE this place was and had fun exploring this place. The Nursery was filled with so many goodies! I love that they have a station where you can build your own plant bundle which is pretty cool! I loved all the flowers were beautiful but expensive at the same time. We stumbled upon a Welcome wooden plant holder for a reasonable price and I fell in LOVE with it! Absolutely beautiful. I got it and it has beautiful plants in it as we speak! Couldn't be more thrilled about it. Staff was friendly but busy watering plants and tidying up. They have really cute garden decor here which I am coming to come back to decorate for Fall Season as this was my summer season trip. Deceptive regarding their soil warranty. At checkout, they always say "would you like to purchase soil to cover your tree for a whole year in case it dies?" They DONT DISCLOSE that the warranty doesn't apply for 15 gallon trees and above!! They also don't disclose that the warranty only covers 50% of the tree/plant if it's under 15 gallons. Lady with the curly hair looking straight from Indiana Jones looked shocked that I called them out. DECEPTIVE AND BEWARE. If they respond to this review and say "sorry for your experience blah blah, it's on the information sheet we staple on the receipt" save it. WHAT YOU TELL US AT FACE VALUE IS NOT THE TRUTH based on your practice. Just don't LIE! Will not ever send any of my clients to you ever again. read more

Absolutely beautiful nursery! We've come twice in the last week because they were having an incredible sale. In our two visits combined we purchased 23 plants for around $160, which is a bargain! They have a beautiful variety of plants, a lot of things are flowering and already producing fruit. They also have hand push carts or electric carts available for customers to use. Belmont Nursery is one of my happy places. They have a huge variety of plants--ornamentals, trees, succulents, fruit trees and berries, just about anything you could need for your garden. They are also a wholesale nursery and ship all over the state of California, so you know the quality and selection must be spot on! The employees are extremely knowledgeable about appropriate plantings I. Our zone and offer their advice and suggestions in a friendly way. Pro tip: Check out the classes that are offered in a regular basis. It's a great way to learn appropriate gardening techniques from professionals. Follow on insta for sales and specials. I was in urgent need of replacing a number of herbs in my herb patch. I was out and about and I immediately thought of Belmont nursery as it is on the east side of Fresno. It's close to the 180 and Temperance exit. One of the nice things about this nursery is that upon entering it, there is a map at the entrance that's color-coded, indicating where various items are in the nursery. They have a full array of all kinds of plants from hot house items, fruit, trees, herbs and vegetables, sun, hungry, perennials, camellias, fig, trees, cactus, succulents, and bedding plants. Staff are very helpful. One of their gardeners approached me immediately upon my entering the nursery, and asked if I was simply browsing, or I needed assistance. She pointed me in the right direction although she was not hopeful about my herbs. This is because it was winter in January. I was in luck! Marjoram was there and they had lots of it, good looking and a good price. They also had some lovely bedding plants for cool season weather. Belmont nursery is lovely - they have a lot of seeds, different varieties, an enchanting gift shop, and you can get all of your gardening supplies such as tools, soil's, soil amendments, and so on. It's easy access off of Belmont Avenue and they have a huge area to park in. They have big rolling carts that you can load up your pots on, lots of exotic things, big to small. You're sure to find something that will enhance your garden. read more
