This locally owned nursery is amazing! I've driven past here about five different times and each time I keep telling myself to stop and literally smell the roses. Well, I finally did that yesterday and I'm so glad I did. This nursery has everything from outdoor plants to indoor plants, tons of flower options, a large selection of succulents, trees, both fruit tree and evergreen, and even an ugly plant section for the budget conscience gardener. The staff here is super knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions you have. They have a large selection of pots and other garden decorations, including a life-size metal cut out a big foot and 6 foot tall mushrooms. I will definitely be back to get more houseplants and to enjoy the calm vibes of the Evergreen Garden Center. read more

Far from me so I don't go too often but when I do it's a treat and always leave with something! The people running this place are knowledgeable and friendly- always willing to help and give you all the tips you need for your new plants. The selection is plentiful and lots of ceramic pots to choose from. Their Japanese maples are priced reasonably compared to other nurseries. Love to just walk around with a coffee and soak in all the Greenery. I recommend coming here for your landscaping and plant needs or if you feel like being inspired. read more

Brought my wife here for some bday shopping and we both had a great time. There were a lot of options depending on the kind of plants you were looking for. They had a "needs some extra love" area and I fell for a ruby rubber plant there which is the first plant I've ever bought for myself - and it's doing well! My wife unsurprisingly found several plants and planter things to take home, and she was very happy I made her come here. The prices seemed very reasonable compared with the boutique prices we're used to. We will be back! read more

I bought some Juniper plants from this business to make Bonsai plants, which I had done several times before. When I went to trim the plants, I found them to be full of worms. Like, everywhere. I took the plants back, and the manager offered to have me look at more plants to see if they were pest free, so he had me meet one of his workers by the plants. When I explained the situation to this young man, he asked me why don't I like worms? He was immediately sarcastic and off-putting for absolutely no reason. I explained to him that they were going to be indoor plants and I don't want a bunch of worms in my house. He said I just have to accept worms in the soil in plants. I told him absolutely not, and if he wouldn't find a pest-free plant, I would get a refund. He then reluctantly grabbed a plant, took it out, and told me that this one didn't have worms in the soil. I pulled the plant out, and it was INFESTED with worms everywhere. He pretended to not see the first several worms, but when they were literally crawling out of the soil everywhere, he had to admit that they were in there but that "it's ok" for worms to be in there. Nope, not inside my house. I was refunded, and I've had great interactions and help from the staff in the past, but this guy should not be working with the public. The manager told me that he would treat the plants for worms, and come back in a week and get the plants. Nope. There are other nurseries in town. They should have better product and definitely better customer service. read more

Let's just star off by saying I've been back 3 times this past week and a half. Lol! They have been getting the "hard to find at an affordable price and I'd rather not order online to wait for shipping" plants. haven't had to drive to LA for more uncommon houseplants in 2 months because of evergreen in Clovis. Thanks for fulfilling my plant buying cravings lol. If you're ever unsure about what's in stock or prices, don't hesitate to give them a call. The employees here are so nice and helpful! They built a greenhouse on their patio for houseplants which is super nice and aesthetic to the "plant parent" eye. they have a huge assortment of succulents and cacti as well available in different size pots. Don't forget about their discounted plants section! I've been able to save the ones I've purchased from that section. They just need some extra tlc. If you haven't followed them on iG, I highly suggest you do! They upload new plants when they get them in. And you don't want to miss out! They go fast sometimes! read more

The dude and I came here on 10/16/21 as I enjoy creating a beautiful garden and wanting to add small decorations or more flowers for my garden. We arrived around opening and there was already so many people there! Parking is very easy to find. Make sure you enter on "Enter" ant not "Exit". They have beautiful decor EVERYWHERE from small structures, cool shapes, tables or even vintage patio sets. I really loved the decorations. As you explore this large grounds they even have a pond you can enjoy . The dude and I couldn't get enough and they had Coy fish too! They had small citrus trees growing in containers, Lilly pads, flowers of all shapes, colors and sizes, trees, herbs and so much more! It took us about an 1 hour or more to explore and I don't think we covered everything. Staff was very helpful and friendly and they even had Day of the Dead flowers out too! They have an indoor shop as well you can find seeds and other gardening tools as well. This place was very well organized, beautiful and spacious!! I can't get enough of this place. Hoping to come back seasonally as I need more flowers for my garden! And decorations!! I highly recommend this place 100% very affordable and stylish items! read more

Evergreen has a great selection of outdoor and indoor plants, pots, and lawn decor. I enjoy visiting in the summer because the plants are in bloom, vibrant, and lush. They have fruit trees and bushes, ornamental trees, roses galore, succulents, and a great selection of houseplants to turn your living room into a tasteful indoor jungle. The employees here are quick to offer assistance and have a wealth of knowledge to share. On one of my trips here, I was lucky to see their cat sunbathing by the succulents. I love the plants and merchandise at this nursery, and in the past the employees have been helpful and pleasant, but today was not that way at all. One older female worker REALLY got mad at me because I was about to take my shopping cart into an area where it was not allowed. I totally missed reading the sign stating "carts not allowed". I apologized for my error, and she was still verbally irritated at me. When I went to the register to pay, and give the older employee a compliment from my previous purchase a couple weeks ago, I was ment with the same kind of rudeness. Although closer to my house, I doubt I will return to this nursery. read more

Their lot is super big and it has all three landscaping plants you can think of. It has many succulents both hanging baskets and regular but the inside is where all the cool plants are. They always have a selection of rare plants for a pretty reasonable price. I went 4/12/24 and saw Thai cons, pink princesses and rhaphidophora hayi. I have been to Evergreen several times over the years and I usually go to their annual anniversary sale. This year it was disappointing. There were a lot of young employees milling around, but not one asked if they could help me. They looked irritated to be interrupted from chatting with each other when I asked if they worked there and if they could help me. I was looking for one rose variety that was out of stock and with prompting the young employee told me it would probably be back in stock in spring. It would have been nice if he volunteered this information upfront or offered to show me other plants that would work in my location or showed any sort of interest in my garden at all. It would have been an easy sale, but no one bothered. Then I found a lovely tree I wanted and hunted down another employee to inquire about delivery. She said she didn't know and to go inside and ask. I went inside and was told they were too short-staffed to deliver trees....what? How can a nursery not deliver trees? I am still rating Evergreen 3/5 because they have a gorgeous collection of pots, lovely houseplants and an impressive variety of low-water options. read more

Every time I come here I find a new plant I just have to have! I was introduced to this place by my best friend and have just loved the customer service they provide and very friendly staff. They have a huge selection garden plants, vegetables, herbs , fruit trees and indoor plants too. They have amazing garden soil that's perfect for the best garden you can grow. They even have a section in the back for plants that need a little TLC they are low priced and ready to go home to loving plant parents , they call it the "ugly section" but hey even us uglies need love too. Evergreen is effervescent. If I ever need to be outdoors and I don't have time to go to the mountains and I want some inspiration, this is the nursery that I find myself in. First of all they have a huge array of all kinds of different plants. Do you want roses? they have them. Do you want veggies and edibles? If they are in season they will have something. Succulents? They have a huge amount of different kinds of things both in small pots on trays, and also hanging. They have ferns, and shade plants. They have bedding plants which are seasonal. It's winter while I'm making this review so I just purchased a whole passle of violas, pansies, Johnny jump ups for some winter color. Evergreen also does a fantastic job of planting up pots with combinations of plants so you can facilitate your creative ideas of what to combine for landscape decor. In addition they have a lot of garden decor to purchase. From poles that you could insert into the ground, to artful potted containers, to mushrooms you can stake into the ground or pots, to arbors and trellises to grow vines on - you name it they probably have it. Indoors, they have a huge array of house plants for sale. Seasonally they have bulk seeds to purchase such as sweet peas, wildflowers, and California poppies. This is one of the few shops where you can find Christian oriented decor for your garden such as crosses, and things like that. Finally, Evergreen carries my favorite trowel. It has a red handle so that when you leave it lying around on you can spot it easily. It has a stainless steel blade. It has a long pointy blade that comes to a very sharp point. This is not a trowel for a child it is definitely a trowel that an adult needs to keep a hold of which you easily can because it has a leather lanyard in the end of the handle. The handle is nice and thick for ergonomic reasons. But the point is exquisite! It's pointy and sharp and so you can really slice down into the soil and dig a nice hole or use the point to dig out rooted weeds. I bought one for myself, loved it so much that I went back and bought some for gifts. . If you love gardening absolutely make Evergreen one of your destinations spots! It's worth it. read more

I love Evergreen garden center. It's a big family owed lot filled with so many surprises around every corner. Their selection ranges from the widest variety of plants to the absolute largest selection of trees, potting soil, pottery, and patio decorations. You can find every single thing you want or need to grow yourself a beautiful garden. This is absolutely the most gorgeous garden center I've been to in Clovis. As for the staff, they are the coolest group of people I've ever met. Very informative, funny, polite, and definitely helpful in every aspect. I'm so happy to have found this nursery, I was able to find the plant called plant I've been looking for Pride of Barbados! This plant grows well in zone 9.. I came here one Saturday in spring with a family member who was on a mission to add to her garden. I knew I had to bring my self control because I don't have much space for any more plants. This place was bustling with customers. Grab a cart or a hand basket because you know you aren't going to buy just one of anything here. The employees were busy taking care of the plants, but made sure to ask if we needed help. They were very friendly~ I could feel the joy they had working at a beautiful place like Evergreen. Some areas can get a little tight as far as space, so just be patient. Keep an eye out for their super cool resident kitties. My family member filled both levels of her cart and I bought 4 succulents and 1 indoor plant that I had not been able to find at other places. 'The parking lot is small so be mindful of others. Definitely bring a hat and slather on some sunscreen before heading out. read more

first time discovering this nursery as we just moved to this area 7 months ago. i really missed my local nursery back home & since it's spring, it's time to repot, propagate & refresh my indoor plants. went to yelp to find out which nursery in the area would have the same ambience as the nursery i frequented back home & seemed like evergreen nursery fit well. what a beautiful nursery. we were overwhelmed but excited by the surroundings. there's quite a selection of beautiful & practical plant pots, baskets, plant food, soil, fertilizer, gardening tools, bug repellant, indoor/outdoor plants. there's also a selection of giftable items like candles, inspirational stones, etc. i bought different types of pothos, peperomia, & philodendron variety, which were marked at fair price points. all the plants & perennials are very healthy. there was an absolutely GRUMPY middle aged male employee at the outside front entrance. maybe the solar eclipse & heat this day made him grumpy, but still, sad for our first time here experiencing that. however, the cashier, a female employee & 2 younger male assistants, were very pleasant, welcoming & helpful. anyway, yeah. beautiful plants.. read more

One of my new favorite places in town! They have an amazing selection of plants, shrubs, trees and lots of items in between. The prices are very good compared to other nurseries in town. I didn't catch the gentleman's name who helped me, but he was extremely knowledgeable and helped me pick plants and trees that would best suit my yard. Going out of my way to review due to disrespectful reviews in the past, we visited about a week or so ago, ALL employees had masks. I didn't see a single one without a mask. (if you guys didn't know masks aren't necessarily required outdoors which is why there is public outdoor seating at restaurants, do research before you complain) Social distancing was encouraged, The staff, especially the older gentleman working the cashier was so sweet helping me checkout and with my two year old niece who didn't want to give up her string of pearls hahaha they have the best selection of plants, all my plants I've gotten from here are thriving. We came here on a Sunday because it was a beautiful day and we felt like getting some new things for our yard. We were pleasantly surprised when we showed up at Evergreen! There was a beautiful maze of greenery and flowers all around this hidden gem. The variety was awesome and the prices were good. We found everything you could imagine for the yard and house, along with some beautiful display items for the house. We ended up getting a variety of items and saw so much more we would like to get. I was told that Sunday morning isn't too busy but there was quite a crowd! We will be returning here to get more items for our house and yard! read more

It's a pretty outdoor nursery place. I'm not sure if it's family owned or they just have a lot of workers. Everyone here are friendly and helpful. I came to buy pumice, as I couldn't find any at Home Depot or Lowes. I'm glad they had some here. They have different types of plants but I only wanted to look at the succulents. They had a good amount: about 6-7 tables of succulents for you to look at. Unfortunately, I don't think they have many big ones. I believe I only saw 2. They also sell a lot of plant pots here. I'd recommend buying the plant pots by the succulent area as those were only $6-9. The ones indoors seemed a lot more pricey for the same size. read more

If you go to the one star reviews you will get a pretty good picture of this nursery, those depict it better than the others. I have never felt welcome, no one ever greets you and the employees are very rude, more if you have kids with you. My kids love plants and anyone who doesn't welcome my kids doesn't deserve my business. Not that loosing one customer will effect them at all, but I will not be going back. read more

My wife, daughter, and I love this nursery. Many of our succulents and other plants come from here and they are always so well taken care of and lush.
