It should be expected that a shop of this scale will not have the same scope as a Home Depot or Lowe's. Sure, it's more expensive, but that is negligible to an extent. My issue is the staff. Most are friendly, and a few will relay advice over making a sale - my biggest gripe, however, is with the cashiers. Not all of them. Usually, the elderly women are the root of the problem - more importantly, it's their attitude. Numerous times, I have been delayed, ignored, and talked down to by more than one elderly woman at this store. I understand they are more senior staff, but the undermining tone and demeanor of annoyance have pushed me to go elsewhere. After months of not returning to the store, lo and behold, another unpleasant experience. Which is a shame - this place is only a block away, but at this point, Home Depot is well worth the extra miles.

One of the reasons customers choose a neighborhood hardware store over a large box retailer is the expectation of knowledgeable, helpful service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit. I felt ignored and unimportant as a customer. Based on this experience, this will likely be my last visit to this location. The cushions were vacuumed-packed and did not fluff-up like advertised. As far as comfort level, we'd say these are nice for short periods of time. He was very informative and he suggested to order some swatches and test them out. Since I wasn't in a hurry, I followed his advice. He also suggested that I measure three points of the width of the window so for example, measure the top left to right middle left right and bottom left right as sometimes the measurements might be a little off.

Because of that, I've always trusted Home Depot and appreciated the customer service I've received until now. We came in to make what we believed was a straightforward return, but instead of being treated with respect and professionalism, we were met with a rude and dismissive attitude from the General Manager, Juan Franco. Rather than trying to understand the situation or offer any solutions, he seemed unwilling to help from the start. It was frustrating to feel like our loyalty as long time customers meant nothing. To make sure the issue wasn't with the return itself, we took the exact same items to the Home Depot in Clovis. Their staff processed the return immediately without any problems, were courteous throughout the entire interaction, and reminded us why we've continued shopping at Home Depot over the years. That experience made it clear that the issue wasn't the return... it was the customer service at the River Park location. The way customers are treated matters just as much as the outcome. A little professionalism, respect, and willingness to help can make all the difference. Unfortunately, that's not what we experienced here. We'll continue supporting Home Depot because we've had excellent experiences at other locations, but we will be avoiding the River Park store moving forward. I hope management takes customer service more seriously at this location so other loyal customers don't have the same experience we did.
