I ordered Rose's at Home for my husband's birthday during quarantine. You get three nights of dinners, each with an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I was so glad to see that the pork and lychee salad was on the menu! I also liked that Rose's seems to understand that what people want under these circumstances is well made, satisfying comfort food. I can be a bit of a picky eater and I was surprised to learn that I didn't need to make a single substitution- usually I have to request no trout roe or no bone marrow or whatever, but this was a well curated menu of delicious, crowd-pleasing meals. Their menu changes often so check out what will be available for the day you're ordering for in advance. I was blown away by how good simple meals could be. Nothing fancy about the strawberry shortcake, for example, but somehow it was the most delicious and flavorful and deeply satisfying version of a strawberry shortcake that could exists. Being able to eat food from what's probably my favorite restaurant in DC in my pajamas without having to dress up or schlep I to the city was SO NICE. OMG fine dining in my home! I had the pleasure of experiencing Rose's at Home during Hope for Henry charity gala. The meal was phenomenal! The 5 course pairing was delicious with perfectly balanced flavors and easy to follow reheat instructions. The packaging was great, my cold goods arrived cold and everything was perfectly portioned to feed even the hungriest crowd. I loved the pasta with eggplant one word--WOW. We were lucky enough to have Rose's at Home cater for our family dinner on November 27th, and I cannot recommend this experience enough. They arrived 2 hours before dinner to set up and prepare, and allowed those of us who were curious (myself included) to watch them prep and ask questions. They served us pre dinner cocktails - champagne and maple old fashioned's. Then we were told Dinner was ready, so we went to sit down. There were 4 courses - we started with their Lychee salad. When I read about this dish I was cautious, but the dish was phenomenal. I could have eaten 4 helpings of just this salad, but I'm glad I didn't. The next course was the Burgundy black truffle Rigatoni, with the truffle freshly grated for us, allowing that heavenly aroma to surround you. Amazing - and perfectly simple. Smoked Brisket - came out just like you'd see in Texas, perfect crust, paired with white bread and a coleslaw. We took leftovers for a sandwich the next day. The Popcorn Creme Brulee - just the name made me skeptical, but it perfectly combines sweet and salty, and not a single person had any left over. I'd order this again and again - and I'm not a brulee fan! Amazing food aside, the whole experience was wonderful. The team was easygoing which made us feel at home and relaxed. We have never eaten at Roses Luxury but were given a Christmas present of Roses at Home. We are foodies and love any kind of good food from 3 starred Michelin restaurants to cheap eats. I would call the Roses at Home experience okay but nothing special. It is very pricey. The portions were tiny. The food was well prepared but was not particularly special -- I have had better brisket many times. And in fact we regularly cook superior brisket and slaw to what Roses served up. Worst of all is that their delivery window is like the cable guy: anytime from like 1 pm to 7 pm. Our food arrived like warm at 3:30 pm. I understand the pandemic is a huge struggle for restaurants, but I would say this was our most disappointing food delivery experience of the pandemic. read more

So I'm writing this during the COVID-19 shut down and so this a review of the service they're offering while their restaurants are shut down. We got a big box of prepared food delivered to our house and it was fantastic. We've been to Rose's Luxury several times before and were excited that the meal choices included their famous Lychee salad. It's as good as I remember it from the restaurant. We got a couple of three course meals and it was satisfying for two middle aged adults who enjoy fine dining. The instructions are good but you will need an oven and a microwave to reheat certain portions. read more

Had such a great experience with Rose's at Home for my birthday party. I should start out by saying that I love Rose's Luxury - so much so that my husband and I hosted our wedding dinner there! When I was looking for a fun thing to do for my birthday party, I reached out to see if the folks at RAH would be able to help me out. I didn't want a whole catered meal, but was looking for something shorter and more interactive, but still a great meal for my guests. RAH was able to hook me up and offer a pasta cooking class in my home. Adam and Ed did a phenomenal job, walking my guests through what they were doing, and cooked 3 different options for all 3 different varieties of food allergies; no one was left without something to eat. Once they were done, they left my home immaculate (I think they even cleaned some of MY mess up!). Will absolutely be working with RAH again in the future. read more

Ordered a very expensive 3 night meal since I could finally get a taste of Rose's Luxury without hiring a task rabbit to wait in line for me. Delivery was convenient but the meals were mostly very basic and nothing special with a few exceptions including an apple crisp and lyche salad that were very good and a rigatoni with strawberry sauce that I put down the garbage disposal. I will stick to restaurants I know for the rest of this caronavirus shutdown including Capital Grill, which has a delicious take home option. read more

We had their Valentine's Day dinner a little early because they sold out on 2/14. Everything was delicious, and they made it SO easy to serve with explicit instructions and everything we needed for a wonderful dinner. They even offered flowers, which my husband got for me. . Pineapple and Pearls at Home was a fantastic experience. The food was wonderful. Scott and his team could not have been nicer or more inclusive. Our guests could be in the kitchen and watch and ask questions. The team came about two hours before dinner and brought everything--food, glasses, dishes, flatware.
