We were very comfortable and we appreciated the peace. There was a large Jacuzzi tub and a king sized bed in this suite which made it perfect for a couple retreat. The location of this place cannot be beat. Just a stumble away from all the good restaurants and wineries at Amana. Close parking and easy entry/exit. We really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The suite was spacious for such a cheap price and was well furnished and very clean. The bed was soft enough and the couches and chairs provided were all comfortable as well. The Lodging is very close to main street in Amana and was within walking distance of most of the attractions, restaurants, and shops. The bathroom is also handicapped accessible Cons: The main problem we had with the Lodging was that it was advertised as a Bed and Breakfast. While the bed part was pretty nice the Breakfast was...well neglected. The "english muffins" were stale and the tea and juice were ancient and tasted bad. Luckily due to the central location there was a very nice cafe ( Serena's ) right down the road where we had a great breakfast. Additionally the lodging had no wifi or any way to connect to the internet and the television had a limited 20 channels and bad resolution. Overall we had a nice stay in the Lace lodging but would have appreciated more attention to have been paid in regards to breakfast and technology.

We were met by the innkeeper, who showed us to our room and how to operate a few things. The unit was very nicely decorated, (lots of cat decorations) clean, spacious and comfortable. It was the upstairs unit and the top door was a beautiful stained glass door. Inside, we were treated to a comfortable sitting room with large flat screen tv, coffee table and wicker chairs. There was another beautiful stained glass cabinet with tea pots and saucers in it. It was so beautiful that I had my husband paying attention to this really fine workmanship so he could someday build me something like that. That didn't go over well... The kitchen had everything you could need including a full fridge, stove/oven, dishwasher, nice dining room table, kettle and coffee maker among other things. There was plenty of kitchen items for cooking and once again clean and beautifully decorated. More cat decorations! There were two bedrooms, of which we only used one. And guess what? More cat decorations. Not complaining as we have two cats! I thought they were pretty neat. The unit itself definitely had a feminine touch of decoration without feeling old and like you were at Grandma's house. It was a nice change, as hubby isn't overly fond of the B&Bs that feel like you are at someone's grandparent's house. The second bedroom was very floral, so good thing our son wasn't with us. Ha! The bed was comfortable, the heating system worked well and the bathroom was great since we were only there two nights. No jacuzzi, but fine for our short stay. We opted out of breakfast, since we wanted to try some of the restaurants in the town, so we cannot comment on it. The price was very reasonable at $80 per night. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay close to town. On the way out, we talked to the other innkeeper and he was extremely friendly.

We stayed here when my cousin got married across the street (Price Creek Event Center) on Saturday…read more It's truly right across the street - might be a shorter walk from the hotel to the entrance of the event center than from the parking lot of the event center itself. Room was clean, mini fridge was very helpful, air conditioning worked well. Normal check in is 3pm - I asked if we could get in a little earlier to get ready for the wedding there. Not only was the answer yes, but I got a phone call when the rooms were ready. In all my years booking hotel rooms, can't say I've ever had that happen before, and it was much appreciated so we were confident we'd have plenty of time to get ready. Great service!
