The maintenance people do what they can but management does not replace items with better quality and longer lasting equipment. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! My father in law passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer and they would not make any exceptions to the lease agreement since it was only my name on the lease. This was not discussed up front and now we are left paying almost $6k. On top of that they did not respond to maintenance requests after many follow ups. Wow reading through these reviews, I had similar issues and feelings when my son and I lived there 25 yrs ago! Back then there was no recourse such as writing bad reviews so people had no way of being informed and owner/managers could get away with anything. You would think they would have changed their ways by now knowing that many people read reviews and make their decisions based upon this criteria. I lived at Rosetree Crossing for about 8 months before I moved out to pursue a job opportunity. Every apartment complex has its problems, and I would probably have ignored all of them if it wasn't for the interaction I had with the leasing office while breaking my lease. I was charged an extra month's rent (in addition to the two the originally penalize you for) because of something that wasn't written out in the contract, to which the leasing manager said that even though it's not in the contract "you can just assume it". So that left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, since I don't think contracts are a great place to assume things and that was quite a chunk of my savings, as a recent grad who is trying to pay off loans. There were a few things that bothered me about the apartment and at the time I just told myself that these were normal things. But now after having moved out and realized that my new apartment has none of those problems, I now feel that some things at Rosetree were a bit off. First, my packages kept getting stolen. This happened for three packages before I gave up and just started to get them delivered to my workplace. The leasing office doesn't accept packages on your behalf and wouldn't help me track down my packages when I asked (Fedex even gave me the name of the person who signed for my packages but the office couldn't help me because of lessee privacy policies). Now I understand that you can't tell me where they live or something, but I feel like they at least could have emailed that person for me and asked if there was a misunderstanding--instead they just flat out told me they couldn't do anything. Second, I had a problem with my upstairs neighbor leaking water for a very long time. I contacted the office about it quite a few times and it took a few months to get it fixed. During that time I had to place bowls on my carpet and I would wake up to the sound of water splatting in the bowl every morning. Speaking of bowls, one of them was a Halloween bowl that I thought would be nice to use when Halloween came around. I put some candy in the bowl with a "Happy Halloween!" sign for the residents in the apartment lobby, thinking it would be a nice thing to do. A few hours later I go and see that the whole bowl had been stolen. I'd like to think it was a kid who didn't know any better but who knows. That made me pretty sad. I also had a problem with some creepy-crawlies. I'm not sure what these bugs are but they're pretty freaky and crawled around in the bathroom a lot. I even have a picture of one because I instagram-ed the first one (of many) I caught. I admit it may be a bit biased of me to say all of these negative things just because I feel wronged by what happened at the end of my stay, but these are things that are problems at an apartment unit regardless, my bad experience just gave me the push to say them. Overall my stay at Rosetree Crossing was okay. It's in a good area close to downtown Media where there is a lot of delicious food and some good shopping. The apartment unit, besides for having really thin walls) was overall comfortable and a good size. And most of my interactions with the leasing office were good--April and Dorisa have been nothing but friendly. If you're willing to overlook some small things and are careful of lease penalties, this isn't a bad place to live. read more

Rosetree Crossing - Crawling around in my tub - Apartments Near Me - Media, Pennsylvania

My husband and I have lived at Rosetree Crossings for 5 years now.. we moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom (switching buildings). When we lived in our 1 bedroom we had minimal issues. Since living in our 2 bedroom we have had nothing but issues. Black mold growing in every corner of our bathroom and in every window frame- poor air ventilation in the bathroom regardless of how long you leave the fan running. Office staff told us to "take a wet paper towel to it" in hopes it would be removed. We have several leaks in our ceilings in our living room, entry way and one of the bedrooms that we have called the office about several times and they have yet to come fix them. Packages have been stolen, misplaced, or delivered to the wrong building and the office staff gives you serious attitude when you ask them to help. Maintenance will come to fix things but they just put a "bandaid" on it and wont replace anything unless they have to come several times- it took us 3 months to get a new hot water heater in the fall and into the very cold months of winter and two weeks to get a new fridge (in which we had to throw away hundreds of dollars of new groceries AND maintenance ruined our floor switching the fridges out- they still haven't come to fix the floor OR even respond to the email that was sent regarding it). Needless to say, we have not been happy living here but it is hard to save for a house when you spend far too much in rent for a crappy apartment. Highly recommend NOT living here, unless you like living in a moldy, leaking, LOUD, pot smelling apartment building :) read more

I moved in Dec. 2015 and the prevailing agreement was landlord would pay water and sewer. In late 2022 or thereabouts, they started forcing tenants to pay water and sewer! (approx $50-60/month for one person) Management can hide behind the fine print in the lease which says they can charge whatever they want, but nonetheless THIS IS DESPICABLE. They changed the terms without my agreement. I reached out to management whose only feeble excuse is "well, we sent you a memo about this". Ironically, they installed water-saving toilets as a cost-saving measure (before they started passing along water and sewer charges.) To force tenants to pay these charges indicates to me that management is greedy or they're having cash flow problems. What next? Pass along landscaping charges or pool maintenance? Will they start billing for heat? Shame on management for this sneaky way to boost their bottom line. read more

Terrible service. Woman who identified herself as the co-owner April acted like a completely rude. Acted as if we had bad credit and acted elitist. Considering I probably make four times what she does she felt the need to put herself on a pedestal. Completely rude remarks the entire showing. I would strongly advise for such a green and friendly area like media that they would take the time to hire friendly people. A shame too because the area is lovely. There is actually a local Trader Joe's nearby (which there aren't too many of), and the entire area seems to be a great place to raise a family.Simply put, customer service can make or break a rating. read more

Im pissed writing this review. I'll be leaving soon because of the lack of privacy & NOISE you get here! I live in a studio.It's like your neighbors are in the same room as you, because they'll hear everything. Im greeted with a wall pounding from my neighbors just for typing on my keyboard or rattling a bag of chips when im eating, thats pretty extreme in regards to noises being heard, and im not living in silence. But obviously that's not all that they hear. I've tried several ways to soundproof but DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. It's not going to work. The LIGHTEST sound will be heard against the wall, this is not an exaggeration. Aside from the noise, this company really needs to work on their customer service. Horrible. Very beautiful community but their are better apartments around. read more

I lived at Rosetree Crossing from Oct 2016 to July, 2017, almost a year. During that time I noted that although the rental staff, especially Dennis, are very nice and helpful, the corporate headquarters of Westover Companies has no interest in improving the properties they own. They just keep buying new ones. At Rosetree, if you came home after a certain hour, there was absolutely nowhere to park. I once had to park up the hill past the rental office and walk down the hill in the dark carrying five bags of groceries. I was working in the Bensalem area of Philadelphia at the time and had a long commute home, so sometimes the only time I had to go get groceries was at night on the way home from work. They need to have assigned parking spots but the owners at Corporate refused to do this. However, in a large complex like this, assigned parking is mandatory if it is to be well managed. My car was damaged by someone who sideswiped me in the parking lot and never even left any note or anything. One of the neighbors in my building down the hall smoked constantly and I had to put towels under the door so that the smell would not seep under the door. I often had to open my balcony window at night to get rid of the smoke smell. The balcony itself was unsafe, made of wooden slats that were repeatedly getting wet with each rain and you could not even sit out there because of the horrible traffic and pollution. It also appeared that the balcony was listing and the railings were pulling away from the wall. Squirrels were chewing away at the soffits on the roof outside and nothing was being done about that either. Had I known also about the mold issues and the pollution at Rosetree from the expressway right outside my balcony door, I would never have taken the apartment. I was told when I wanted to rent it that the present tenant did not want anyone to come in and look at it. However, one of the neighbors told me that she would not have minded at all because she was very nice. The kitchen in the unit I rented had hardly any storage space and hardly any electrical plugs, and it was just impossible to even use it for anything but very basic cooking. The bathtub never drained properly despite repeated requests for it to be looked at. I believe the overall plumbing is just very old and bad quality and needs a complete overhaul but corporate headquarters doesn't want to spend the money. After I moved out, I noted no more sinus headaches or congestion, and the cough and scratchy throat I had had trouble with for months disappeared, probably from the pollution and the mold. I would not recommend moving to this complex at all. I feel that I also was misled about the apartment because I was told that it was in the back of the building but that I would not be bothered by the traffic or the expressway at all. Not true at all. Nobody can live right by an expressway and not be bothered by the noise and especially the pollution. read more

I really don't know where these negative comments are coming from...I've lived here for 2 years and I couldn't be happier. I love my 2 bedroom apartment in Rose Tree Crossing II. Maintenance has been WONDERFUL...they come out the NEXT day after I place a work order and the job gets done right. I have great neighbors who have welcomed us from day 1. My building is always kept clean. The office has ALWAYS been respectful and courteous when i have called or visited. It is absolutely worth a visit to check these apartments out...great value for a top location. Oh BTW-I don't work here at the complex or for the company, Westover- just a real review! read more
