This is a favorite for local Italian food. Small restaurant in Canton center never disappoints. Very unassuming looking - you'd never Expect food priced this reasonable to be SOOOO good! The Service is always great. They still serve freshly baked bread, which is no longer the norm. I always say I'm going to try something different and end up having my tried and true. The chicken Giuseppe, chicken, sautéed with crushed mushroom and marsala wine, tossed in fettuccine pasta, topped with crushed garlic and melted mozzarella cheese. I can't get this anywhere else! I always change it up to shrimp and gemelli pasta! The best, only $24! We ha the stuffed mushroom appetizer. My dining partner had the grilled 12 oz sirloin topped with Demi glaze, served with red bliss Parmesan mashed potatoes and vegetable of the day, only $25! This place is family owned and every single dish tasted like it came straight from someone's kitchen. Comforting, flavorful and just so delicious! TRADITIONAL MARGARITA PIZZA Their traditional margarita was amazing. Thin crisp crust with fresh mozzarella basil and a bright tomato sauce. Simple clean and so flavorful. You can really taste the quality of their ingredients. CALAMARI ZINGARELLA Crispy tender calamari topped with a flavorful mix of peppers onions and seasoning. Every bite had the perfect texture and the sauce gave it a little extra kick. So good. CRAZY WINGS (BONE IN BUFFALO) These wings were addictively good. Outstanding meatballs. Portions here are generous and you can choose homemade pasta for all dishes which makes everything taste even better. Dinner was filling comforting and full of flavor. Typically we eat at the restaurant or the bar. However tonight, I was exhausted so we got takeout. The food is so delicious, the Greek salad was so fresh. They take attention to every detail of the experience, we got grilled chicken with the Greek salad. They put it in a separate container, that's a professional move, no one wants a hot sloppy salad. The pizza is just as good as any pizza spot in the area and there are plenty of great options for pizza in Canton. That to me says a lot, because they are able to make great pizza and still out preform every Italian restaurant that I have tried in the area. I highly recommend, and they have very respesonable prices. If you choose to dine in, they have a decent wine selection and very fair price points. read more

We went here Friday night with a friend who is a regular. Our experience was not enjoyable. We were treated very poorly from the minute we arrived. We went to sit at the bar as no tables were available. The owner then comes over to us and says if ur waiting for a table, ypu can go wait on the wooden bench unless you are going to order a drink. We were going to order a drink but the bartender never even waited on us or acknowledged us. We then sat at our table and had to wait again to be served. We finally ordered our food which was very good by the way. However, when we began to eat my husband cut into his and realized it was chix parm and not veal as he had ordered. When the waitress/bartender Mary came over we asked her and she said, yes thats chicken if u really want the veal i can put it in but its going to be awhile. Ill just charge you for the chicken. Really?? My husband wanted the veal or he would have ordered chicken. The service here is much to be desired and the owner and Mary were not vety nice or accomodating to us. Stopped in around 5pm after my daughter's basketball game. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we asked--twice--to be seated in the bar area so we could play Keno. We were approached by two different staff members. After speaking with us, both said they "needed a minute," which didn't make sense given the simple request: a table for three in the bar area. We were then told the bar area was reserved and that parties of three could only be seated in the dining room. We were seated in a tiny booth crammed right next to another family, despite plenty of open space elsewhere. It felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, especially given how empty the restaurant was. We left without ordering. The experience was frustrating and disappointing. We went across the street to Takara instead and had an excellent meal. Rosetta's didn't give us the time of day, so we won't be giving them another chance. read more

A large portion of veal saltinbocca with crispy veggies for only $21? Yes, please!! It's enough to share, but we never do. Rosetta's has the most DELICIOUS Italian food around, big portions, and it's not a "foofy" atmosphere or over-priced like many Italian restaurants around Boston and the South Shore. It is our go-to place for indulgent Italian food. If I went more often I would probably have a weight problem. Carlo is also a really nice guy, and he and his staff did a great job doing a buffet luncheon for my MIL's funeral last weekend. Amazing seafood dishes as well, and try the Tiramisu! Last night was our first time at Rosetta's. Quite honestly, when you look at it from the front, it doesn't look like much. But when you get inside everything changes. They're bar is a traditional old time bar. And i'm not sure i've ever seen a place with more cocktail options. Their dining room was quite nice. The menu options were terrific. Our waiter was very attentive. Very good experience highly recommended. Also, Carlos, who is the manager (owner?) called us back to confirm our reservations. This place was not at ALL what I expected and I feel so much regret for not trying it sooner. The dining room area has an old timey fancy italian restaurant vibe that I found super charming. The booth seating was super comfortable. There were white table clothes and the waitstaff were personable and the right amount of attentive. There were also regulars raving about how they brought a new set of friends... walking into this we were suddenly super excited for our meal! We each ordered a drink - the Sex in a Snowbank which was a fun seasonal cocktail with coconut and pumpkin favored liquor, and a Cosmo. Both very good. We were given some complimentary crusty bread with oil. Tasty. We ordered half salads, Greek for me and beet and goat cheese for him and the Popeyes pizza which was olive oil, basil, garlic and goat cheese. All were made very well. This place is a gem. And has a lot of non-tomato options for those of you with bad reflux. And non-meat options for the vegetarians. The bar area has, which we haven't sat in yet, has a small town, let's play Keno! bar vibes. Which is always fun. Another positive note, they were ready to accommodate a large group of kids and adults coming from a middle school play and made sure to ask us if sitting near the kids would be ok. The waitstaff was just totally on point. Some final particulars - Rosetta's is in Canton's downtown area toward the end of the business section, so there is a fair amount of street parking in pretty close walking distance. Sheepishly, I had a very satisfying dinner at Rosetta's on Saturday night. As it was my first time there (for silly reasons I will discuss below) the food was all very very good, and after a couple more trips in the future, I hope to be able to give this place 5 stars. The one previous experience at Rosetta's was with a woman friend, on a Sunday evening in the middle of NFL playoff season, and the "front area" was packed with boisterous and noisy patrons watching a game, and we promptly went elsewhere, and had the (wrong!) impression that it was like an uncomfortably small sports bar. Mea culpa. Craving Italian comfort food, I sauntered into Rosetta's and sat at the bar, which had an open seat, and saw that the restaurant was actually larger than I had thought, and was quite packed. To me, that's an encouraging sign. I opted for an Italian restaurant "standard" but without red sauce, so I could assess the complexity of the preparations. The veal (always good to try the veal at an Italian place, as it can be a clear indication of the attention to the ingredients and preparations. Happily, it was very good, in fact "spot on". The veal was excellent quality and tender (many places don't get quality veal, and don't pound it to tenderize). Not an issue here! The mushrooms were not overcooked and were flavorful, the sauce used proper, high quality Marsala wine, and was perfectly thick (not too much flour!) and was not greasy. The accompanying bread was properly warm and both crusty and fluffy, and came with an olive oil dipping sauce. It also was a great "vehicle" to mop up the Marsala sauce. Looking around at the patrons, people seemed quite satisfied. I ordered a piece of the limoncello cake for dessert. It was obviously homemade and absolutely perfect. Made with real whipped cream, it was not too sweet (for which I was thankful) and had the distinct taste of limoncello without being "drowned" in the liqueur. So I left feeling very satisfied and, frankly, pleasantly surprised at how good it was, and the prices are definitely reasonable, and substantially lower than in Boston's North End. In fact, the prices were lower than one might find at places of similar quality in Providence. I look forward to another "shot" at this restaurant and its offerings--again, it's more classic Italian homemade cooking than fancy modern creations. And that is perfectly fine--there is plenty of room in Canton for this establishment! read more

Did take out here and food was fine. Staff seems friendly enough.the seafood diavola pasta was good. I ordered extra spicy but I think they gave me the regular version though. Mussels don't taste that fresh but the scallops were tasty Chicken parm was okay but did not have enough sauce. I enjoyed the cheese but overall it did not wow me. There aren't a ton of good restaurants in Canton so this place is suffice if you don't feel like driving far. I would recommend Rinos in East Boston for some excellent pasta. I would give the place a 3.5 but rounding down to a 3 because I did not get my extra spicy seafood diavola that I ordered. *edit* i'll round back up to 4 stars, i appreciate the owner taking the time to respond and checking in on the request. apparently i do have a high spice tolerance so it did not taste spicy at all to me :) read more

Service was friendly, but a little slow; understandable as we were there during dinner rush. There is plenty of street parking available too which is nice. I had been hearing about this place from several folks. I ordered a salmon dish and asked for the sauce on the side. It was very dry. The owner came by to ask how things were, I mentioned the dry fish, He said that's because you got it with the sauce on the side. Sorry, but dry fish means it was cooked too long. I'll admit it -- we are those people. The ones who weren't going to go out on Valentine's Day until we decided we were. And it turns out we weren't the only ones. The place is frequented by regulars for sure with a bar on one side and a slightly more formal sit down dining room on the other. When we arrived we waited for about 10 minutes and were seated at a high top near the bar area. During this time another couple got frustrated with the single waitress to be seen after she dropped off some food to them. This couple was not empathetic at all and then expressed that to the waitress in a condescending tone on what was probably one of the busiest nights there. The same woman was our waitress and it was clear she was running around from dining room to bar room without a single moment to catch her breath. She did great! Obviously the kitchen was swamped too but we knew to adjust our expectations accordingly for timing. Food was delicious, incredible value. Calamari was a generous portion and could definitely be a small family appetizer on its own. My husband commented that you will not find a steak for less than $35 in the area and I think this one was $25 or so? Truffle fries were excellent. I got the bolognese and it was comforting and a big portion. We'll definitely come back on a less busy night but overall it was a good experience! read more

Date night here tonight. Easy reservations, and arrived a few minutes early. Menu looked great. You get bread when you arrive. The bread was amazing, warm, crusty outer and melt in your mouth middle. I ordered the bacon double cheeseburger pizza which I thought was really good. My wife ordered the chicken parm but with Alfredo vs marinara and it was good. Sauce lacked some seasoning but she liked it. Heard rave reviews about the lemoncellio cake, so of course I had to get some, as I'm all in for anything lemon. I would have given 5 stars if the owner wasn't such a jerk. Food/staff are amazing. It's too bad the owner doesn't know how to treat his customers. I will not be returning. When I asked how long the wait would be, he snapped at me and said, "I can't tell how fast people will eat". I went back another time and received the same energy (so much for second chances). I walked in and put my name down and a waitress saw me and pointed to a bar table and said it was going to be opening up. Then Carlo the manager looked directly at me and rudely said "you can't just go grabbing tables". I was very thrown off by this because I obviously was told by the waitress that it would be opening up and I would never just "grab a table". Hope this helps. So the Hubbs and I went to ROSETTA's for our anniversary I ordered a tiramisu martini Hubbs had a red blend wine we had mussels in a white wine garlic sauce that were so scrumptious. Hubbs ordered a steak that was cooked to perfection and I had the Bolognese with homemade pasta also scrumptious. We did ask one of the servers if they could take a photo for us(John) and he said let me get your server who little bit acted like we were taking them out of their way. It was me and my boyfriend's proposal, we saw it was an almost 5 star place and decided to check it out. The service was horrible. We checked in our reservation, and were ignored for five minutes (a heads up would've been nice). The table wasn't fully set. We waited over 45 minutes for a caesar salad and a sandwich with fries and the chicken was raw. Pink inside. We told the server/ bartender that it was a problem and she tried denying it until we showed her and she didn't apologize. She just said "what else would you like?" We just decided to split the very generic and bland salad. We asked to speak to a manager and he was absolutely disrespectful. He offered to have them make us something else and we kindly said we are just going to go some place else. He pounded his hand on the table and said "perfect, thank you" and walked away. We left. I've been working in the restaurant business for many years now and that was the worst service and it was blatantly disrespectful to have that done to anyone.
