We have eaten here and always enjoyed it very much but this past weekend, Saturday 4/4/26 we hosted a special event here and we're so pleased with everything. I wanted to say a huge thank you to the event manager Joanna--and her entire team--for doing such a wonderful job on my daughter's bridal shower this past Saturday. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and received so many compliments, and the cocktails were fabulous--thank you especially for the signature drink, it was a big hit! The waitstaff did an excellent job, and the bartender was incredible keeping up with all the orders. She made the whole process feel so easy and enjoyable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a noticeable and lingering unpleasant fart/egg smell throughout the restaurant, and the floors appeared not to have been swept.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere made it difficult to settle in and enjoy the meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was slow and inattentive. During our visit, the waitress also made a comment to my wife that struck us as racially insensitive. We brushed it off at the time to avoid making things more awkward, but it was unprofessional and worth noting. The food, meanwhile, was priced higher than the quality and overall experience warranted. I'd encourage management to look into both the cleanliness and staff professionalism. As it stands, I can't recommend the restaurant based on this visit. read more

We were seated in the restaurant's inner dining room, which is supposed to be quieter than the main dining area and bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, there were two large groups in that room. One group of about 20 people was celebrating a birthday, and another group of five couples was already loud from the moment they arrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]As the evening went on and more alcohol was served, the noise became increasingly unbearable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To their credit, the waitstaff apologized several times on their own initiative for the unusual noise level. However, no action was taken by management to address the situation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead, drinks continued to be served, and the atmosphere became impossible for anyone else to enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Under these circumstances, the quality of the food became secondary. Which I was looking forward to since main menu was limited. Food order correct. I got the Chicken Marsala which its sauce and mashed potatoes both were very watery and bland. The majority of out table got the chicken Parmesan which was a good portion. As I mentioned it was a special occasion my daughter's birthday. When they first opened, their food was exceptional. The tastes of each meal made you just wanna come back for more. However, we've been back many many times over the years and it has increasingly become just mediocre. It feels as if they brought in just average chefs to prepare what the owner previously had made Incredibly well. This restaurant has been on my list for awhile - I was so excited to finally check it out. We were a small group of five, and sat comfortably in one of the booths, with chairs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant itself is very warm and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the calamari fritto - which came out lightly fried, with their pomodoro sauce for dipping, it was delicious. For dinner, I opted for the spicy lobster rigatoni, which was generously portioned, with a garlic, vodka sauce, and Calabrian chili. It was nice and spicy, with generous portions of lobster. I wasn't able to get through the whole dish, but really enjoyed it. Our server was over the top good. He was on the younger side, and because of that, we were even more impressed with his wine knowledge. Not only did he know his stuff on the wine itself (flavor profile, tasting notes, what it pairs well with), he knew a good amount about the winery itself, location, and story. Had brunch at Neroli on Saturday before Easter and when we got there it wasn't very busy as it just had opened but they only had one waitress working multiple tables so she had a hard time getting around and not her fault but service was really slow. As for the food it was very average. We got a couple Omelettes and the lemoncello pancakes with a berry compote and the pancakes were really disappointing. They came out pretty dry, couldn't taste lemoncello, and there was no compote just a couple berries on the side as you can see. It's too bad because I really like neroli mercato but the brunch food wasn't something I'd come back for. I dined in with my folks for dinner on Sunday evening. Inside is really pretty and was packed. We arrived about 15 mins early and were able to be seated almost immediately. My mom requested a booth and the man in a black suit, standing at the desk with the hostess and appeared to be a manager used an aggressive, nasty, tone to tell her there weren't any available, which I didn't appreciate. After being seated, we were served by Daisy. She seemed pleasant, but then it turned into annoyance, or a bit of impatience when we weren't ready and didn't know what we wanted to order. I also asked for a recommendation for a mocktail, which she was unable to provide. We ended up trying the following: Crab cakes 8.7/10. Great crab meat to filler ratio and the arugula salad was a delicious accompaniment. Spicy lobster rigatoni 7.8/10. It had a nice kick but seemed like they skimped out on the lobster meat when I compared to other review photos. Salmon - 8/10. It was cooked really well. The risotto was really yummy. Overall, the service was just okay and did make me feel uncomfortable at certain points, but the food made up for it. read more

This is the first time I've ever been asked to leave a restaurant. We had a reservation at 6:30 for dinner with another family. We were seated around 6:50; no big deal I get it's busy. We were not informed of any time limit. Our server was great, we ordered our food, and after we were done a manager (not the general manager, because I spoke to him after) came by and asked us to leave because they needed the table. It was 8:30. A fairly abrupt way to end our meal with friends. I spoke with the general manager and said that was wrong and that shouldn't have happened. Needless to say, he did nothing about it, the food was 3*, and the experience left a bad taste, so we won't be back. Customer first always wins, profits first loses. We had a nice dessert at a place down the street after they kicked us out. read more

This was my second time at Neroli and the food was just as amazing as our previous time about a year ago. I need to come more often! Everything and anything you order will be amazing. I've had the tuna tartare, Caesar salad, for starters. The salmon is to die for. We had the halibut special which was phenomenal! Every dish is made with heart! We have always had amazing service, hand over foot, the servers are spectacular even at a full house. Which has been both times I have come. The chef even came out to check on tables. The drinks are also phenomenal.. from the wine, to the manhattans, and martinis. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one slight downside is the noise. Be prepared to hear a lot of loud cackles and voices.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the final corse of espresso martinis and delicious desserts will make up for that! Great location and plenty of parking in the back. Relatively large restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. Started off with the large and fried well arancini balls with great sauce. Our main entree was absolutely delicious the sausage and broccoli rabe with pasta. The sauce was so good I just wanted to bathe in it. The seafood linguini with lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, little neck clams, salmon, and scallop with white wine sauce was great for all seafood lovers. The bread was also very good. read more

Was at the restaurant when it opened earlier for us at 10:48(opens at 11am). We had corn beef hash because the Pork belly hash was out of season. The potatoes are half's of the mini potatoes, very flavorful because they soak up all the juice of the corn beef. Cinnamon rolls were freshly baked, so so good. ok so I was watching the Phantom G which I'm apt to do from time to time to get ideas for new places to go and this spot popped up. Looking at the dishes presented on the show and seeing the enthsiastic Chef Mario I thought I've gotta try this place. I went Saturday, definitely make a reservation, I booked on Saturday so I didn't get "prime time" but was able to get a 5pm. I was glad I did, I've frequented a few places in Westwood but never knew about this place and now I'll never forget it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is nicely done, not white table cloth but not far off, I felt very comfortable here. Beautiful interior and very inviting bar, big dining area[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at 5 and by 6 I'd say the place was at capacity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just 2 of us and we ordered the calamari for an app, delicious, fried crispy with a dressing served drizzled over it and a side a marinara accompanied with mini sweet peppers excellent. For my entre i was going to go with the Zuppa de Mare (seafood over fresh pasta) but I couldn't resist the special Blackened Tuna over garden salad, in a word AWESOME. My rule of thumb if the restaurant is offering tuna or swordfish as a special probably best to try it. My date had the Chicken Picata and in her words, one of the best she's ever had. I tried it and she wasn't exagerating. To go with our meal we tried a bottle of the Neroli wine (cabernet) and great price and smooth. For desert we shared the classic Tiramisu, just the right balance of chocolate, cream and espresso, don't pass this up. I have to mention our server was Alex and she was excellent, we never felt rushed and she took the time to explain the dishes to help with choices. Lastly I'd like to add Chef Mario stopped by our table to say hello, I told him he's the reason we were there as I'd seen him on the Phantom. We had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Neroli celebrating a birthday. Our server Alexa provided truly outstanding service with her friendliness and attention to detail. We did not feel rushed to get through our meal at all. The calamari was fried to perfection and the mussels were superb in its delicious broth. Some of us tried the homemade fettuccine special with sautéed chicken, crispy pancetta, and fresh spring peas in a pink vodka sauce. Please keep this on the regular menu. The olive oil cake with ricotta gelato and the chocolate torte with caramel gelato are must tries and a great finale to a wonderful meal. Visited Neroli for the first time on a double date. Our friends had been before. We arrived early around 615. The vibe is very cool, comfortable and nice decor. As it got busier, it definitely got louder-and a little hard to hear at times. All of our meals were prepared beautifully and were delicious. Very authentic Italian. What a hidden gem in Westwood! My sister in law had her bridal shower here and I was blown away by the food, the service and how beautiful this restaurant was! My mom and I got talking with the bartender who when we asked about the pickle garnish on the bar, told us about their pickle martini made with Grillo's pickles and we knew we had to go back! Fast forward a few weeks, my mom and I were shopping at Frugal Fannie's and realized how close Neroli was so we stopped in and sat at the bar. We both ordered pickle martinis, which were incredible! If you're a pickle fan, this is a bucket list stop! We also split an order or calamari and the summer salad; both delicious! Located a couple doors down from Neroli Mercato, Neroli Ristorante opened this evening in Westwood serving Italian cuisine in a casual modern setting which has ample table seating and seating up at the bar. I made a reservation ahead of time online and arrived here around 8:30. They offered valet parking and attendants were opening doors for customers. The place was very busy and the dining room was very noisy with conversations echoing throughout the place. The hostess needed to clean off a table as I was being seated at a front window table and given dinner menu and wine list and drinks menu. The dinner menu offers hot & cold appetizers, salads, soups, house made pasta dishes, seafood, poultry, steaks & chops, kids menu and dessert menu. The prices are on the higher side. The waiter arrived in about 5 minutes after being seated and I already knew what I wanted and placed my order. I was brought over some ice water and rolls with oil & garlic for dipping. For a starter, the Arancini ($16 plus tax) was comprised 2 breaded rice balls filled with saffron risotto, beef, peas over thick pomodoro sauce and parmagiano cheese. The Arancinis were crisp and firm outside with a moist dense texture. For dinner, the Bucatini All' Amatriciana ($26 plus tax) was comprised of Bucatini pasta tossed in a tomato sauce with pancetta, onion, pecorino, and fresh tomatoes. As I finished dinner, the waiter returned with the check and cleared dishes off the table. He apologized for disappearing during dinner since he was taking care of a large party in the back. A food runner served my starter and dinner. I was full and did not need dessert (choices of tiramisu, cannoli, limoncello panna cotta, flourless chocolate hazelnut torte, gelato, $10 each). The check was $44.94 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food here was pretty good. However since they were extremely busy, it took awhile for my food to arrive. I will try to come back on a less busy night during the week. This is a good place to go out for Italian dinners with family and friends. The place is on the louder side here. read more

First time. Went for dinner. Had the fettucine bolognese. Was disappointed it had red pepper flakes. It was too spicy to enjoy and I have never seen a recipe with red pepper flakes. Was also somewhat dry. Did not expect that. The sauce that came with the arancini was very good and would have preferred something more in line with that. A Noisy room and a silent chicken marsala... Went out with some friends on a Saturday night and decided to try a new Italian restaurant. We were a party of four and had a reservation so we were seated right away. We started with calamari and bruschetta bread for our appetizer. The calamari was very good, lightly breaded and crispy. The bruschetta bread came in triangles and was easy to cut and share. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a bit of a challenge with having the menus on the table with the appetizers taking space as well. The tables are not big.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We all ordered salads before our main course and I must say that the arugula salad was delicious. Then came our main course. I ordered the chicken marsala and it looked nicely plated with mashed potatoes and spinach as sides. I tried the chicken right away and was very disappointed that it was hard and dry. There was not much flavor and very little marsala gravy on it. It was even difficult to cut. I also found a rogue small piece of chicken under the mashed potatoes? Was this a re-heated meal? Maybe pan seared too much, too long? Everyone else said their meals were delicious, they ordered the veal parm, chicken milanese and orecchiette. I couldn't figure out why mine was just not good, I was too embarrassed to disrupt our conversation and send it back! With so many other great Italian restaurants, I can't recommend going to this one and spending the money. I think I will order my favorite chicken marsala from Luciano's or Assisi cafe to cleanse my palate and remember what a marsala should taste like! read more

Parking can be tricky, limited street parking but there is a small lot behind the building. They offer valet on Friday and Saturday. Inside it is very bright, and loud. They literally pack tables in there. We were seated up against a larger party and had a difficult time hearing each other. We were so close my husband had to get up and out of his chair anytime some of them had to get up. Service was not great. I have a feeling that there are not enough servers to cover the amount of tables. But we were seated, we're brought water and bread and waited about 20mins for her to come back to take our drink order. Another 25-30min wait for her to take our dinner order. She never checked up on us. I saw her offer other tables Parmesan cheese when their food came but we never got that offer. We would have asked but we never saw her come back until we we're almost done our meals. She was waiting on the big party next to us so it was clear they were her priority since they would be leaving a generous tip, instead of our party of 2. Food was good. I got the chicken Marsala and my husband got the shrimp scampi. Food came out quick because it was brought by a runner, not our waitress. Prices are high compared to portions though. Funny enough, our check took no delay in coming out to the table. There are plenty of other places in the area with better service read more

The inside of the restaurant was very cozy and open but very loud. Waited 20 mins for the waitress to come over and introduce herself. Only took our drinks order and didn't come back to our table for another 20 mins. One of the managers/ staff member came up the table and asked if we put in our orders yet, told her no, she came quickly to take our orders. Waited almost an hour to get our food and half the restaurant was almost empty.. I got the Rigatoni Carbonara and was very disappointed, pasta was undercooked and very salty. My friends also didn't enjoy their meals. Would never recommend this place. The only good thing was the spritz tower. read more

I got take out that was divine. Gnocchi Bolognese with a meatball. Meatball was incredibly good, perfect texture.

This establishment presents an intriguing blend of exceptional service and a refined interior, located in Islington, off the beaten path of Dedham and Norwood, it sits in a newly developed center of shops and offices. Parking in this location can be challenging and tight. I wanted to love everything about this restaurant since its obviously newer, yet its culinary offerings leave room for improvement. The restaurant excels in hospitality, with staff providing prompt and courteous attention that enhances the overall dining atmosphere. The sophisticated, downtown Boston aesthetic of the interior creates an inviting setting, contributing positively to the establishment's reputation. However, the culinary experience does not consistently match this high standard. opening appetizers of fried mozzarella was delicious with a side sauce that was delectable. Matching this, the veal parmigiana was also excellent, with plenty of cheese and portions were abundant. However I was truly shocked at the signature spaghetti Cacio e Pepe is notably bland, missing the vibrant spices and pepper that would normally elevate its flavor profile. Similarly, the veal dishes side spaghetti lacks sufficient seasoning, resulting in a flat and unremarkable taste that falls short of expectations. In an environment where service and ambience are exemplary, these under seasoned dishes detract from the overall dining experience. This was truly disappointing and turned the meal from an excellent start to a sad finish. This once again proves, good Italian outside the North End is hard to find in the suburbs. The contrast between the impeccable service and the disappointing execution of key pasta dishes suggests that a reassessment of the culinary approach, particularly in seasoning and flavor development, is warranted and this restaurant hopefully improves over time since it seems like its off to a good start. I may come back in the future to see if it has gotten better. read more
