Unfortunately, every visit feels disorganized. They usually only have one person handling checkout, and the service is extremely slow. Today I went in for just 3 items and still ended up waiting forever to pay. To make matters worse, after I left the store, the cashier came running after me saying she gave me the wrong change. That's not my mistake. She had to go back and fix it, and at that point I just told her to keep the $1. There are definitely better wholesale stores out there with more inventory, better organization, and better prices.

I was thinking as theft but it is vehicle burglary/ robbery. Thanks God , my daughter was fine and she came out and told us about the snatcher. Tha car was expensive car so don't think some nice car park around you will be safe. It parked not directly in front of your car so the snatcher came out from right side back door and another one was ready to drive. It happened very fast so even a lot of people in the parking lot. I believe I was serviced by MONIQUE at the Optical Department. She's a * * * * * Five Star employee and service provider. I was told from an employee at my optometrist's office that this Lakewood Costco has the best selection of frames to choose from that includes higher priced, couture designer fashion frames and I'm not saying overpriced but brand names and in that $200 range, so very affordable. I traveled from the SBBC, South Bay Beach Cities opting to drive 40 mins here as opposed to 5 mins to the Costco on Hindry (in the city of Hawthorne) which says a lot of how much better the selection here was/is for frames.

My glasses had gotten really loose from constant wear, so was hopeful it could be tightened. The optical shop is located outside the registers, so it's important to enter via the Exit opening (similar to if you want to visit their subscription desk to buy a membership). Recently, the optical department got rid of their paper ticketing (where one draws a numbered ticket and wait for their number to be called, just like a deli), and replaced it was an app based one (powered by Waitwhile). You scan a QR code, which takes you to a web page. You can then choose a reason for the visit (I chose Eyeglass adjustments), and give a name. An optional phone number can be given to receive text, which I did. I was notified that I was on the waitlist by text, but was called by name and never told by text that I was up/next. David was the optician that adjusted my glasses, and gave me the standard warning that they would not be liable if the glasses broke during adjustment. He then worked on them on a nearby desk, and worked carefully. It made sense to hang around, and once he was done, just handed them right back, confirming that they fit. He did a great job. One new thing I noticed were these 'Pickup lockers', where orders from costco.com, optical, or pharmacy could be picked up without human interaction. It's similar to Amazon lockers in set-up. Neat that Costco keeps trying new things.

But they were actually extremely rude when I mentioned the pricing of other stores, even could show them on my phone the pricing and I was even willing to pay more then what I was showing them. Owners are rude and inconsiderate. They open whenever they want and really don't care about any customer service. It's too bad because the last time I was here they were extremely friendly and very competitively priced. But a funnel for 50+ when it's 23 on amazon? Or how about a soldering kit for 90 when it's listed on amazon for 40? Same exact product down to the item numbers.
