Coconut cream accentuates the flavors of mangos and strawberries. Cold and refreshing. Not overly sweet. Thick and creamy profile, not watery at all. Did not notice any chunks so it is blended very well. $12 for small. $17 for large. Definitely worth the price if you count all of the high quality ingredients that goes into them. 20g of protein and 200-250 calories. Hope to try the rest of the menu. Good job Drink Thicc!

Ever since the viral onslaught of Erewhon smoothies have been inundating our social media feeds…read moreover the past year or so, my girlfriend has been FIENDING for a potential dupe here in the Bay Area to try. Lucky for us a few months ago we found out about Drink Thicc and how popular it had gotten and we needed to try it at least once. The shop is only a takeout window but nicely decorated with that white brick that stands out super nicely, similar to how that old Mr Holmes' Bakehouse was like back in SF or LA. We ended up just getting a large to share, which was still pretty pricey at $17, albeit not nearly as price gouging as Erewhon. We tried the Berry Thicc and sure to it's name, it is very THICC - like legitimately hard to drink at first. The coconut cream whip, mixed with all the different berry flavors was quite refreshing, although there was an aftertaste in there that wasn't as appealing to me personally. It also was very filling just as many other customers have noted, probably from the amount of fruits and protein they pack in there. Not too shabby - would absolutely try again as there other flavors seem pretty enticing as well.

So glad Mellana Cafe was recommended via Yelp, because holy moly they definitely know how to make fresh, healthy, and colorful fruit smoothies and juices. All of the choices looks so refreshing and yummy, but I knew I wanted some ginger and some vitamin C in mine, so went with the Jamaican Ginger Paradise. It was so delicious, and the smoothie was the perfect amount of thickness and melt ratio. It had a very vibrant beautiful citrus color. The two ladies working the front were so friendly and efficient. A+ for service. I also like how cute their cafe was, but not a place where I would study. The chairs are more for short chats with your buddies, they also have some few outdoor spots for the doggos. I'm definitely coming back, maybe next time to try their Adeni chai or their other Yemeni hot drinks.

Or whatever else folks do when they've got time to kill. The lattes are unique and clearly Arabic-influenced with some pretty good flavors. Can't say much from experience about the food though. Service is great when the main girl is there (might be the owner or manager since she's got that kinda knowledgeable energy to her), but not so much when the young staff is there alone. They seem nice but not too confident, which can affect the experience. Maybe even the service since I ordered a golden latte recently during their shift and got chunks of turmeric in mine; it was lukewarm too, not even hot. I'll definitely be back but quality control is important when charging city prices.

I have been to several places that offer acai bowls, and Main Squeeze in Alameda does a great job!…read more Of course, the place could use more seating, but I'm okay with taking my bowl to-go. I was there on a warm Sunday, just to try their acai bowls. There's four acai bowls on the menu board, so I asked the gentleman behind the counter....."which is the best acai bowl?" With confidence, he said...."the Oasis Bowl." He likes the Oasis Bowl because it features seasonal fruit. That means the recipe and taste experience can change with the seasons. When I was there, the seasonal fruit was pineapple. This place makes a good acai bowl. For $13.00, it's not overflowing with fruit toppings. Instead, it's packed with fresh fruit, crispy granola, chia seeds, honey and coconut flakes on top of a acai base. It's definitely a meal, not a fruit bowl snack. The interior is very clean. It has a small outdoor patio. According to signage, there's no indoor seating. Main Squeeze is located near the Park Street Downtown. It's walking distance from the Alameda Theatre, public parking lot, and Alameda High School.

I could not believe how much ginger was in that drink but goodness it tasted delicious!! I can't wait to go back and try other drinks here!! Oh service was quick and the menu was also easy to read!!
