Cute little store at the corner of the street near two other smoothie/acai shops. I got a huge smoothie for $10 which is a steal nowadays. I wasn't able to finish it though, so I wish there were additional sizes. The cup was so flimsy I thought I'd squeeze too hard and have the cap explode or my drink overfill. I got a Tropical Bliss & it was a good smoothie but nothing special or life-changing!

Decided to give this place a try since I was grabbing lunch with my husband. Located in Oakland, expect to find street parking which can be tough so there may be a bit of a walk. Upon coming in, the employees were a bit busy chatting with each other to welcome their guests inside. I got the choco-strawberry bowl and my husband got the power bowl. I was a bit disappointed because I expected maybe some fruit on top, but I had a big blob of almond butter on top. In the end the bowls were okay in taste, but the big blob of almond butter honestly ruined the bowl itself for me. I will say that the bowl itself is very big so it definitely can fill you up.

I have been seeing this place all over TikTok and I live close by and decided to try. I am really picky when it comes to bowls especially smoothies. But Rush Bowl knocked it out the park. I ordered the PB&J bowl and everything balanced out very well. This is a nice treat to have and I am so happy I tried this spot. I also want to highlight they are super dog friendly! I brought my dog here and was even able to order her a bowl. Staff was super sweet and was happy to answer any questions I had. Really excited to go back and be a regular.

Working in the office is always a struggle! This was a great treat to see I can get an açaí bowl. The establishment was nice and clean and the gentleman was pleasant and attentive. My bowl had an awesome flavor. I'm excited to a place to try on office days.

The Peach Pump is my go-to. It is beyond delicious, not too sweet but gets the job done and is just under 300 calories. I'm also a fan of the banana bread bites. There are four in a pack. My dog likes the Bow Wow Bowl as well. Like many smoothie shops, they have a reward system. I've been less than 10x, but more than 5x and received a half off of a smoothie reward the last time I went. Another perk here is that you can make any smoothie into a bowl, or bowl into a smoothie. I chose to make the High Tide bowl into a smoothie just to get away from my normal Peach Pump. The blue spiralina caught my eyes and I wanted to try it. Service is fast. There seems to normally be just about two people working, sometimes three. The ambiance is very casual. Seating is typical of a smoothie shop - limited, and they set a table and two chairs outside of the shop as well. Coming here after a dog walk is a perk for my dog because she acts sooo thirsty and takes full advantage of the water bowl. I love that they paid attention to their community and set that outside. I also wanna add that I am huge Tropical Smoothie Cafe fan and every time I go out of town to some place that has them I always go there. I've missed them over the years, having not had one near me in over 14 years, but Rush Bowls is a fine replacement, and the sting of missing TPC is far less now that Rush Bowls is around.

IT WAS AMAZING!!! It was my first time there. the staff is very friendly and the bowls were so good. My grandma got the beach açaí one and added almond slices to hers with energy. I got the chocolate covered strawberry one with almond milk and added strawberries to the top, also added immunity booster, multivitamins and energy to mine as well. I will definitely be back

5 stars for quality and delivery. Let's go ! Ok so I've never actually been inside the location . I found them on Yelp looking for a smoothie at work . I found them and when I seen all the options they had to offer I was sold ! So many options of drinks and substitutes or extras ! Anyone can find something to order from them . My favorite to get is the southern lemon extra honey! They package it very well there's no way it can spill which I appreciate. Only a driver can mess that up . Very secure. And you can literally order any drink how you want it ! I'll have to check the store front out but for as many times I've ordered from here I'm always happy and satisfied. Must try .

Excellent!!!!! I could have a bowl every day. The staff is very friendly. I love this spot. Will be back again & again until it's all gone. Please try it for yourself. You won't regret it. The fresh strawberries, blue betries, and granola. Yummy!!!!!!!!

For $10, my smoothie is huge and delicious. Love the localization with Oakland love in a national chain. They do bowls and smoothies of many different kinds here. One thing to note is that some of the smoothies have frozen yogurt, but you can remove it. I went with a super protein one with fruit, kale, protein powder and peanut butter and it was really good. They had a few customers waiting,, so it took a little longer than expected but the ladies working here were nice, helpful and always love a 'thanks for your patience' attitude. Overall, if you're looking for a smoothie/bowl for a meal, this will definitely satisfy.

I've been coming here for three years and always look forward to having one of their power bowls. The establishment is clean, their bowls are well-made and delicious.

"Versatile and satisfy anyone's palate." - Owners words. Agreed! 100% always very happy when stopping in. My family and I now frequent the area and when we get that craving-- we all agree to come to Rush Bowls! Parking: Street parking, meter or find an open street parking. There are other businesses so it can get challenging, but definitely not horrible. Walking in you're immediately greeted, by every single employee! I love when the experience is just as great as the food item. All the staff that I have encountered have been so helpful, with their descriptions or take on each item. Do not be shy! They are all so knowledgeable and friendly. Menu is either a bowl or a smoothie with tons of great add-ins. Bowls and smoothies are both delicious. Their menu combinations work and it really does satisfy everyone's palate. Sweeter combinations is what my daughter orders and i personally like less sweet. We both can easily find something. The granola is sooo good here! Not too sweet and super light and crunchy! Pro Tip: sign up on their app.

MLK Cafe was perfectly located and exactly what I needed. I've never had Eritrean food before, so I was pretty excited. I ordered the foul meseleh ($13) from the breakfast menu (available all day though I had to ask for it), which was a bean-based dish, and chai. It kind of reminded me of shakshuka in terms of spices but the beans almost tasted meaty. I liked it so much that I brought it home, and my partner said it tasted like refried beans (though he did have them cold). The crusty warm bread was perfect for dipping, and I ended up not being able to finish it. The chai was pretty milky; there was a tea bag and the spices weren't very strong. Then again, I'm used to Indian chais. I would pass on the chai. There was basically no one else there on a Friday afternoon during off-peak hours. It was dimly lit and kind of chilly because the door was left open, so it wasn't the most comfortable cafe ambiance. The wifi did work well though and I would come back to try more Eritrean and Ethiopian food.

Inside wise, you can watch two tv's playing sports, our waitress/cashier was very kind, and it appeared like many locals hanging out. Only thing is their menu prices are out of date. About $13 plus tax per plate. Hope to come back at night to see the bar open and some live music!

At the 22 min mark, the two groups of two behind me got their food before I did, so I went up to the worker behind the bar and asked if my order was ready and I was told mine would be next. All in all- took 32 mins. So again, if you have somewhere to be- order ahead! Food was good. Could definitely tell it was made fresh to order - not only because it took some time but because my friend cauliflower came out PIPING hot. Lots of oil drippings, so if that isn't your thing, may not be for you, but I will say that it was my fav bite. This was a good restaurant- I would say 4 stars for the food alone. BUT if you're in a pinch, either order online or maybe save this spot for when you have more time. Also- I know that good quality food is pricey, this place is no exception. But you pay for what you get and the quality is better than that of fast food.

As a result, it took a while for them to be able to stop by our table and provide water, take our order, etc. There was quite a long wait between sitting down to ordering to actually receiving our food. By the time we had actually received our food, almost an hour had passed. While we were waiting, a few other servers eventually joined, but service was still pretty bare for us and we never received refills on water or plates to eat off of when we received our food. I understand that staffing and a backup in the kitchen are out of the staff's control, but it would've definitely helped for us to know in advance how long to expect to wait to align our expectations and arrange our plans for the day. Would advise giving customers a quick heads up/warning because that on its own would've made a big difference. As for the actual food, we ordered the mac trio with elote mac, chicken pot pie mac, and kogi short rib mac (for an extra fee). The elote mac was the best and most flavorful, the short rib mac was okay but not amazing or worth the extra money, and the chicken pot pie mac was very bland/flavorless and didn't have much chicken in it. The food didn't feel like it warranted the wait time and because of that I would not return.
