This is a beautiful nursery with so many outbuildings that I'm sure they have whatever your garden…read moreneeds. We checked out the perennials, the annuals, the succulents, the fruits and veggies. The checkout desks were surrounded by great gifts like soaps and lotions, as well as greeting cards and trinkets. The pricing on the fruits and vegetables we bought was as expected. The staff was helpful and friendly. The best surprise was finding a chicken coop behind the café. We stopped in for a tea after shopping and it was adorable. They were about to close so we'll have to come back for brunch sometime soon. I've read it's tasty here. This was a beautiful shopping experience.

From the air plants to the orchids, everything seems just a little healthier, bigger or more beautiful in some way! This is where I go, if I need something very special. I also love shopping in the gift area, I find really unique stocking stuffers and fun gifts. I think this place is getting downvoted because of the café. A donut definitely shouldn't be $4.50 .... So yes, the café infrastructure needs some work, but the café is only one small part of this property. To me the entire Cornell Farm operation is still five stars.

The alpacas were so cute, and the person explaining the alpacas to us was so kind in answering all of our questions. If you're ever in need of some alpaca-warmth, this is a good place to come experience that.

So when we arrived, I ran the door bell on the gift shop door (per instructions on the door) and a very nice lady came out from the office. I asked her if it was possible to feed some alpacas and she said yes. I bought two little sandwich size bags of small pellets for $5 each. All of us (6 adults) was able to feed the very friendly alpacas. They do not bite as they only have bottom teeth. They eat the pellets right from your hand. There were also a few baby alpacas you can feed. Just as another reviewer wrote - they are affiliated with a non-profit organizer and work with Peru to save the alpacas. Alpacas are adorable animals and I'm so glad we visited this farm. There is a little gift shop where you can buy all kinds of alpaca products but we ran out of time - we had so much fun feeding the alpacas. I highly recommend this as a pit stop and you'll learn all about them while feeding them.
