Instead, you pre-pay for a container they provide (I.e. quart, 1/2 flat), and then you fill it and leave (no weighing). 1/2 flat was $12.50 for raspberries, blueberries, and boysenberries. They ask everyone stay at least 6' apart. It has never been too crowded, so it is rather easy to maintain your distance and pick where you please. The fruit is delicious, and right now there are plenty of raspberries and blueberries!

All the veggies (and fruit sometimes) is laid out on tables and there are clear signs as to how much of each item you can take. For instance, you can take two leeks, 3 lbs of carrot, a bag of lettuce, etc. I really like the way they set this up, because if you're not a fan of something, you can skip it and not let it go to waste in your fridge or pantry. They send out emails to go with the week and give you storage information and cooking recipes for the food you are getting that week. It's a lovely touch and I appreciate the information, especially when it's with something I don't normally get on my own. It's a wonderful thing to support local farms and farmers, so I'm thrilled we found Working Hands Farm. I also suggest you follow their Instagram! They have beautiful examples of their weekly hauls and show you what life is like on the farm.

So when we arrived, I ran the door bell on the gift shop door (per instructions on the door) and a very nice lady came out from the office. I asked her if it was possible to feed some alpacas and she said yes. I bought two little sandwich size bags of small pellets for $5 each. All of us (6 adults) was able to feed the very friendly alpacas. They do not bite as they only have bottom teeth. They eat the pellets right from your hand. There were also a few baby alpacas you can feed. Just as another reviewer wrote - they are affiliated with a non-profit organizer and work with Peru to save the alpacas. Alpacas are adorable animals and I'm so glad we visited this farm. There is a little gift shop where you can buy all kinds of alpaca products but we ran out of time - we had so much fun feeding the alpacas. I highly recommend this as a pit stop and you'll learn all about them while feeding them.

We stopped to pick some fresh peaches at #bellsorchard and surprisingly ran into the owner Loyd who gave us a tip on how to identify the ripe peaches. He was so helpful and friendly. Also sampled a few varieties of the peaches Redhaven , Frost, and Starfire which were so sweet and juicy. They grow a wide variety of other peaches specifically for canning, and baking. Also apples, pears and blueberries. Very family oriented!

I get it and it's not Jewels fault and it was the intake session. I still got to interact with her and Kimberlee and Shannon were fantastic. I already have a psychologist I see monthly since my TBI, but this is different with the horses and a new therapist and I don't mind adding tools to my toolbox to help me be my beat self and I grew up around horse and had one as a kid so this is great for me! I appreciate Kimberlee and Shannon's experience and I loved learning that Shannon get me as she too is a TBI survivor so that felt good and right, made Forward Stride feel like that much better of an experience. One session down and can't wait for many more!

We had taken out a number of trees in our yard and wanted a large tree that can be a focus for the…read morefront of the house. It was wonderful to be able to call Big Trees and set a time to see their trees. Daniel took us around and also helped us as we considered several types of trees. We determined that a Somerset Red Maple would be large enough and that it would be relatively easy on yard maintenance. The tour helped us decide that we really needed a tall (30' feet) to enjoy in the next few years. Big Trees was excellent at setting up a date and delivering the tree. It was amazing just to watch the equipment as they dug the hole and planted the tree (see pictures). Now we just need to follow their directions. Felix and the staff planting the tree were easy to work with. They helpled take down and reinstall part of our fence and they cleaned upt he site very well.

Not only was the selection and variety of trees fantastic, the professional advice we got from beginning to end of the process was on point and so helpful. From the initial visit being driven around the property on a golf cart to find the right tree, to the foreman's pre-planting visit, to the planting crew themselves, the entire experience was flawless. Everyone we encountered from BTT gave amazing service, had good humor, excellent communications, and took an above-and-beyond approach. Our new tree looks amazing and we are truly over the moon about it. Cannot recommend this company highly enough!
