We ended up getting ten pounds of Canadian Harmony and Starfire peaches. I can't forget the lovely aroma of the freshly picked peaches. It was 5 star friendly service from the entrance to checkout. They answered all our questions as first timers. They provided boxes with wagons available. They told us the row numbers of the available peaches. There is also a board after the entrance that listed the row numbers and peach varieties. Check their website first before going to confirm if they are open because hours may vary. It appears to be updated daily. When I checked in the morning, it showed the hours for that day were 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. It helped us plan our day as we decided to arrive sooner than later as the parking lot filled up. We are now going to include peach picking as part of our annual summer activities.

Parking can get filled up quickly but everyone was so friendly and helpful with tips about picking and the locations of the different varieties. The young man in the golf cart made sure me and my toddler were on the right path and also checked on and chatted with other people too. When we went there were Red Star, Vivid, and Starfire so we went around and picked a few of each. Check out was easy peasy with their scale and they also had local products and picked peaches ready for purchase. The young ladies at check-in were so nice and helped take pictures of us by their "Just Peachy" sign and put my wagon back for me (since I had my toddler with me and am also very pregnant lol). The service is amazing here, turned out to be a fun family activity, and of course the peaches were juicy and sweet. The season is short so please go and get your peaches and support this local business!

There's activities to explore for the kid in all of us and no one will be saying "I'm bored". The imagination and whimsy will leave you wishing you grew up on the farm. Breathe in the view from Inspiration Point, learn the back yard history on the Wagon Ride, pass Noah's Ark, The Roloff Gotel, with a pit stop at Destination Western Town then view Molly's Castle, and the nationally registered Bridge To No Where. Visit the School House with a working bell, walk through the Haunted Dark Forest. There's lawn games, pan for gold, duck race, and so much more. You can shop in the wedding barn and have a bite to eat from limited food trucks choices. Plan to be there for several hours so get there early so you don't miss anything. The friendly attendants will help you buy a reasonably priced bracelet to enter. Extra cost for pumpkins, zombie paintball, horse drawn carriage, train and wagon rides. Well worth the price.

You can upgrade to $28 for the train ride and something else but we didn't have that much time today to check everything out. They have a live band, food trucks, gift shop and a market place. There is a zombie paint ball fun activity and shooting of cannons at the pirate ship. Over all a wonderful day with beautiful weather. We walked around handing out and hiding beautifully painted rocks to people with a group of people. I was lucky enough to meet a couple of the family members that own the farm as well. I look forward to visiting again soon to check out everything we couldn't see on this visit. Parking is great and a plenty. They have people directing the parking area which is a plus.

An enjoyable place to visit in rural Helvetia not far from Hillsboro, OR…read more Upon arriving, I was impressed by the beautiful large rosemary bush with lots of bees busy enjoying the lovely little lavender flowers blooming! When inside the large red shop, so many options of local food, beverage & handcrafted items for sale: cookies, pastries, candy, honey, fresh milk, meat, wine, coffee, sandwiches, chips & so much more. Once done wandering thru or shopping, there is the expansive views out back where one can picnic on the grass, sip some beverages or munch on goodies purchased inside. Also available are table & chairs on the side of the market structure that allows for looping back inside or towards the front parking lot. The grounds are nicely manicured with a variety of beautiful specimen plants to be in awe of. Hopefully you'll go with intent to slow down, relax, linger & enjoy this jewel of a place to visit. Be sure to check out their posted calendar of events as also available on their website.

I just wish this market was more of an actual legit market and less tourist gift shop vibe. On to the details of my visit: I'd been looking forward to a solid local market and this one had been on my radar for a while. Unfortunately this wasn't it. It felt more like a typical Oregon roadside tourist trap with the standard "Made in Oregon" stale chocolates, granola, sweets, etc. The produce sections was relatively tiny and only about half of it looked really good. The frozen meat sections was almost entirely out of red meat, there was a tiny amount of fish and then frozen chicken too. However, the prices are tourist gift shop too. Think $10/lb for asparagus, $18/lb for chicken thighs, $10 for a dozen chicken eggs, $14/lb for ground beef, etc. I eventually just looked through their baked goods and noted the bread was date stamped that it was baked 2 days prior and priced at for a $14 loaf of sourdough. My favorite Portland bakeries all offer freshly baked (as in that same day) sourdough and other loaves for $9-$12. Anyhow, I ended up choosing some local brownies and which looked good but ended up being chalky, dry and clearly several days old. I'd love to see a larger selection of prepared foods to enjoy on the pretty back patio too. They just had a bunch of those pre-packaged sandos & wraps like one finds in an airport. Why not add a little pizza oven and or grill for weekends? Anyhow, there's much potential with such a pretty place like this one but it isnt quite there enough for me to make the 30min drive from Portland again.
