I went in on a whim for a same day hair cut and received excellent and professional service. The location is charming - an historic old home redone into a large salon with semi-private rooms for each station. The co-owners work in the shop themselves, which I think helps overall customer service and performance. Taylor did my cut - she was good with listening to what I wanted done, but then also being willing to offer ideas and direction when I asked. Purchased a Groupon for balayage, haircut and style with stylist, Catherine. I scheduled my appointment with ease and she was very informative and up front about extra costs like upcharge for long hair, etc. Catherine was personable and friendly with me and we had an enjoyable conversation. She described the process in detail and went above and beyond to answer my questions. She was able to get my hair exactly the way I wanted it and more. We had a Brazilian blowout on the books for next month. I will definitely be back for her to pamper me and make me more beautiful! read more

Super grateful for lucking up on finding this place after driving from Charlotte to Spartanburg to look for a prom dress at yet another store after my teenager has had us on a world tour searching for the perfect prom dress. We were at a well known Prom dress store and she tried on like 6 dresses and wasn't in LOVE with any of them and was at the point of saying "I'll just take that one" and our response was "No, we are NOT paying $600 plus for a I guess dress". We ended up sitting out front and calling around places that appeared on google and they all stated that they didn't have Prom dresses, I got aggravated and asked the lady on the other end "Is there any place besides (the place I was at who's name I won't mention) and she said "Ross and Gray". I immediately went to my source of truth which is YELP only to find that the place wasn't listed so I took to the yellow pages online and called before heading in. The person on the other end was extremely helpful and walked around to describe several dresses to me as I inquired about our daughters color, shaping, size, etc.. We decided to take the 30 additional minute drive to check the place out. The place is a renovated home turned boutique and hair salon. The decor is welcoming and the space is beautiful, open and filled with light. It's extremely modern and decorated very nicely. The fitting room is super cute and boutique which go along with the look and feel of the space. Taylor was the person who worked with us while we were shopping and she was super friendly, honest and helpful. My daughter ended up saying "YES TO THE DRESS" FINALLY after shopping for weeks and we got a great price. This was the first dress EVER that my husband and I saw her face light up after over more than 20 dresses. We look forward to putting the look ALL the way together and prom in the next couple weeks. I was in need of getting a root touch up and I was recommended to try this place from a friend. She had a great experience so I decided to give it a try. Courtney was my stylist. She was very friendly and nice yet my experience with her was very rushed. She explained to me that they were in the process of renovating the shop. Apparently the upstairs is a consignment shop for formal gowns and the downstairs area is where they do hair and anything beauty related. (They changed it now or something like that, not sure because I haven't been back since). She started off by sectioning my hair and quickly made a bowl of bleach. I believe the bleach is supposed to be smooth and thick. But the bleach she mixed was super chunky and grainy. She again, very quickly brushed the chunky bleach on my hair. And then left me alone for about 30 mins. She came back, shampooed my hair, and then brought me back to her station. She gave me a 2 minute hair cut and then blow dried and straightened my hair (without heat protection spray or any styling products). She then explained to me that she didn't have any products because she left them in someone's car from an event. Which isn't okay in my opinion because I am a paying customer and first impressions matter if you want to build clientele. Overall, I was done in a little over an hour. Courtney was a very nice person but as a paying customer, I should have been taken better care of. read more

Had a Groupon with stylist Taylor who was a very nice girl! Although the service I requested turned out horrible! I went home and colored over it immediately. I was supposed to have a balayage and left with yellow all over highlights that looked so misplaced and silly with a large yellow chunch of hair in the front of my head. I don't think I will ever return nor recommend the services here. read more

Wonderful hidden gem!!! I have to say that this is a one stop shop for anything a girl may need or want for her pageant, wedding or special event. They have prom dress, evening gowns and a full hair and makeup salon. I also want to say that Courtney is such a great lady, she worked on my hair and gave me a great balayage color and cut. The minute I came in she was friendly and easy to talk to, I felt welcomed and enjoyed the whole experience. She also took the time to know me personally and what exactly I like and don't like. Took the time to look over pictures and made sure we were on the same page before getting to work. I have been seeing Jamie Gravely for about a year. She does a fantastic job doing my highlights. No matter what condition my hair is in she always works wonders. I recently got married and neded my hair and makeup done. Jamie came in before hours in the morning and did such a great job. I got so many compliments and it made the day so much less stressful.
