I requested A Monday appointment and was told that he's not in that office on Mondays. Thus, I was given an appointment on Thursday. A few minutes later, I get an email confirmation for my appointment, however, it was with his NURSE PRACTITIONER! I replied that I wanted to see the DOCTOR, as I left my former Rheumatologist because he had moved to Costa Rica and left his NURSE PRACTITIONER to handle his patients. Following my reply, I recieved a phone call from Dr. Barron's office. The woman explained that I could NOT see the doctor because he does NOT see patients in the Delray office! When I requested the appointment, I explained about my previous doctor and his move to Costa Rica. How is it possible that this woman was sending me to another nurse and NOT the doctor? I wonder if the insurance companies know that they are paying nurses for doing the doctor's jobs...I wonder if they even care! Wish that I had an assistant to whom I could turn over my students, before I retired from teaching...I would never have retired. This country is so very broken, everyone seems to have a DEAL, except me! PS~ Please note the years in which the "good" reviews were written...Long before the shenanigans began!

Dr Barron himself is extremely adept at accessing everything thats going on with me and is very good at diagnosing and proscribing treatment. He take copious amounts of notes and really is good at tracking progress. His staff are all completely professional and his PA is one of the nicest people you will ever want to meet. After trouble getting my Rx assistance, she went above and beyond to advocate for me. I cant put into words how much that means when you are looking for treatment for a debilitating disease.

I have also visited their PAs, and when I have a question after an appointment that needs more information, I call or add a message on the patient portal. It seems like the practice has grown over the years, and sometimes there are new people, but it doesn't take long for them to become comfortable with the practice and with the patients. A few times, I have also waited in the waiting room for a bit more than expected, but when I am seen, the doctors and the PAs spend all the time that I need and explain my questions fully and clearly.

He also had his receptionist slam the receptionist window in my face because I asked them to wear a respirator in an ongoing airborne pandemic. The receptionists also threatened to call the police on me because I asked for a letter saying he was refusing to do the examination for disability and refusing accessible accommodations. This is the only time I have ever reported a medical healthcare worker to the Florida Dept of Health as well as the AMA. This is not a doctor that should be allowed to practice and should never be assigned to vulnerable immune compromised patients from the social security disability office. I was thankfully assigned a different doctor for my evaluation who did mask with their staff and was the exact opposite of this office. I would say run away but if you are disabled then get out of there as soon as you are physically able to do so. Never ever go here. If I could give a negative review I would of below zero I would.

He is very thorough in his examination and takes his time, especially allowing me to ask him many questions during the examination. When I've had medical issues arise, he has always been available and eases any concerns or fears I have, he has a great personality when communicating with him. She had not seen him in five years due to Covid and my father's passing. The girl on the phone never bothered to tell me that they move their office. So we showed up and to the wrong place. The office is still listed in the phonebook under the old address. When I finally spoke to the office and asked where they are now she insisted that she told me that they moved , which is not true. When I finally got my mom to the correct office that day a little while later we were then told he refused to treat my mother because she lived in assisted-living. So I spent the whole day running around with an 87-year-old woman from office to office only for them to tell us they refuse to treat her . I don't know how this is possibly legal all because of where she lives. Sounds like discrimination to me

They have been professional, and helpful to both of us if we have a request. They will also draw blood on site which can save time and/or you can make an appointment with a script at one of the labs. We have seen a few doctors and they have all been excellent. We give them reports, notes and labs from specialists and/or hospitals for our files. It can be complicated when there are many health issues, but we are happy to have Cambridge Medical. They have always seen us for any emergency.
