definitely would not recommend this Ross dress for less they have next to no customer service and their selection is slim to none. I've gone to my fair share of Rosses, and this one is definitely at the top of my group when it comes to thinking of the place somewhere where they just throw their last random items that won't sell in a big market. Don't waste your time. The only benefit and the only reason I give it two stars is because here and there you can find good deals, but again there are crappy items that no one else would buy. read more

Okay so This ROSS was By far the BEST One I've ever visited! What the WHAT?! Stuff was actually where it was supposed to be. Who knew? I went specifically looking for household decor and low and behold it was there.... in the household section. I'm a naive Washingtonian who lives in Maryland but only shops in Virginia for a reason. The manager here needs to be commended. Line was long but moved very quickly ( 4 cashiers on a Saturday morning) My cashier was on it...He was courteous! WOW at ROSS?! Not a lot of merchandise but what they had was neatly arranged and very reasonably priced. That's why we shop there right? Bargins! Great Ross! I'll be back. read more

This isn't your regular Ross. It is so poorly managed and the store standards are so low you actually think you're at a Salvation Army or Goodwill Thrift shop. Posted some pictures - if I was the store manager I would be ashamed of myself. This is terrible. read more

I love Ross's but I hate this one. I can't tell you how many times I've gone in on a Saturday and they've had the dressing rooms closed. That means that you have to make do with the small portable once at the front of the store. Unacceptable. And shame on me for not learning! Otherwise, this Ross is clean and I like it... Meh. This was my first visit here and I wasn't sure what to think. The place was HUGE (as are most Ross stores) but there was barely any merchandise (definitely unlike most Ross stores). What was there was decently laid out and arranged, but where was everything? It was like they just had a Christmas rush and hadn't restocked in a month. (For instance, there was one 6-8' section of toys; typically stores have at least two or three 12-14' aisles!) I did find two small things and checkout went quickly (I was second in line) but there was only one cashier and as I was leaving there were suddenly five people behind me. I wouldn't make a specific effort to come back here, but I'd run in for a few minutes if I was in the area. read more

I am in line at Ross while I write this review. Only one cashier is open and I've been standing in line for 15 minutes. (This is not an exaggeration because I've looked at time stamps on text messages I've sent while in line.) I count more than 15 parties of customers in line. One set of customers gave up and left. The only reason I'm still in line (and why I give this place 2 instead of 1 stars) is because I came here for a particular item and found it easily. L-O-L this Ross. I didn't think it was possible for an employee to be any more rude than the first I spoke to. Wrong... Employee behind door # 2 was garbage too. Their selection is ok, prices to match any other Ross or Marshalls, or Burlington, etc. Dealing with this place/workers isn't worth the headache. Save yourself the trouble and go to Marshalls up the street- or better yet, the worst Walmart in town...which also happens to be right down the road. Who knows though, girl that works at the fitting room is telling everyone she wants to quit. Maybe she'll leave and the joint will get better. read more

The cashiers at this location are rude and lazy! I will gladly shop at the nearby Marshall's or TJMaxx before I be disrespected by one of their minimum wage receiving employees! read more

Went in On a Monday around 1pm there were 2 cashiers one went on break or something and one was left she was extremely rude and obnoxious soo ghetto the store is mainly empty in various areas they have a lot of old merchandise cashiers need to be replaced there are a ton of people who would gladly take their jobs and do it with a smile avoid this place at all costs people Not worth it read more

This Ross just had its grand opening. While I would have liked for their shoe, home goods and purse section to be bigger and better organized, it seems as if the stores emphasis is on the clothes. The space is huge. And I don't think think they utilize the space well, especially since the store appears to be a bit disorganized in regards to how the merchandise is laid out and how cramped the checkout area is. I am hoping this Ross works out those kinks. I will continuously come here to check out there home good and hope that this section grows and becomes more organized. read more

On Saturday, October 12, 2019, I was waiting in line at the store at 7844 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306 for 20 minutes. The problem was that there were 2 managers walking around the store doing nothing but they both definitely saw that the line was continuing to get longer. They had one cashier open and the other cashier was continuing to put back returned items and still didn't notice how long the line was getting. There was also a fourth customer service rep walking around the store not noticing that the line was getting longer. This store needs to pay attention to better customer service. read more

Worse ever! Shelves and stock are scarce! I was in rush to buy luggage so I purchased a suitcase from this place and the cashier spent several minutes unzipping every pocket. Like really!!! First of all when I walked in visibly I was like oh my gosh I need to go somewhere else. Also it's dusty, dirty, and look like a place for poor people and poor employees. You can tell the mentality of the management there and this store must not generate good revenue. Low sales and ratchet customer service apparently! You get what you pay for at Ross. That said, I've been poor. Like, the real kind of poor and Ross was my "go to" for work essentials like trousers and blouses. I still pop in for summer dresses and home goods, and every once in a while, I can find a real gem and it will usually be less than $20 or $30. My only issue with this particular store was that for a little while, my credit cards would be declined here and then I would receive an alert on my phone that fraudulent charges had been attributed to this store. It was beyond humiliating and frustrating, so I now I just try to bring cash and I make sure I try every dang thing on because you can't count on straight sizing here. In fact, if you are a size 16, but have always wanted to be a size 6, I can almost guarantee you that you'll find something in your beloved size 6. On the other hand, if you have always been a size twelve, be prepared to check out the 16s because you just might find your perfect fit there! Come with an open mind and the willingness to troll through a bunch of crap to find a gem. They are there, you just have to wade through piles of polyester to find them. I love blankets, throw pillows and lamps from here because they are always so overpriced in department stores..come to that, think shower curtains and window dressings as well, which are also over priced panels of fabric. The negative star is just for the credit card fraud stuff. Other than that, an A-okay would work fine. read more

Tried to buy a bathing suit & it was labeled a two piece but the bottom was gone so i found another bottom to go with it, when i got to the cashier the guy said they cant sell it because its supposed to be a two piece & there was no way to price it. So rather than selling it, they lose money by not trying to sell it. The cashier was less than helpful trying to find a solution. read more

I have been to this location twice. Once when it first opened and today. Both times were awful. They do not have enough products to fill the shelves. I went in looking for a new pair of shoes but the selection was awful. I found a children's book that my daughter liked so I decided to get it. The checkout took me 20 mins with only 1 cashier!! Just walked out of this location and I have to say the WORST service I have ever had at any Ross store, first I was getting things out of my cart to wait for a fitting room and the attendant who was not at her station starts yelling at me I can't go in with out her, I told her nicely I knew that I was just waiting and she rolled her eyes. Next after I came out a new attendant was again no where near the post and so I walked to my cart to put my things in there with my 4 year old, mind you my cart is right at the front of the fitting room. And the new attendant can running up to me from behind say "you can't take the card!" I again said I wasn't I was just putting my things in the cart since I couldn't see you. Than lastly this in the only Ross I have been to where you can't take the carts outside? I had a big item and 3 bags plus a 4 year old, The security guard at the front stops me and says "NO carts outside" I was just kind of puzzled. Worst store I have ever been to. The employees are so ghetto and unprofessional, it seems like they never work either. The store is dirty, unorganized, and last time I went there, an item was priced wrong and they acted it as if it was my fault?! Plus they marked it up too which I found out after I went to the Ross in Fairfax. I wonder if they kept the extra for themselves. Anyways, I will never go back to this place again. Marshalls next door has a lot better selection, the store is cleaner, and the employees are a lot more professional and cleaner. However, I have to add, the one star is for their little girls clothing selection and the one worker that wears a headscarf. She was very polite and helpful. Everyone else was just a mess. read more

The Store itself is huge mess. It's employees, especially one about 50 years old black lady was the worst cashier I have ever seen. The store should fire her immediately. She called me to her cash register and before giving me a change she called next customer and said to me: "I'll have you stand in the middle... (i.e. between cash registers) . I don't thinks this is acceptable customer service. I don't even mention smile and/or being friendly, or thanking for shopping. I live close by to this Ross so this is always my go to place when I'm looking for a deal! Of course their prices are amazing but they're employees are the reason I do not like coming here. They're rude and have a know it all attitude. I bought a babies bath tub here for my daughter when she was just 2 weeks old. When I opened it at home, it was bigger than I thought it would be, so I returned the next day with receipt. I'm waiting in line & theirs only one cashier. I stand in the returns line & the only cashier told me to stand in the line where he's checking out customers. I'm in line for about 15 minutes. Finally, I see an employee who stands at the returns line and she looks at me asks me if I'm returning and item. I tell her yes, & she tells me that I'm not in the returns line. I tell her that no ones been at her station for about 20 minutes and apparently a lady ahead of me was also making a return. She was trying to return a bag and the employee was looking inside and out of that bag like if she was looking for gold! She ended up telling the lady that she couldn't take that as a return. I totally knew she was going to try to find something wrong with my return when it was my time to see her. Anyway, it was my turn and yes, I had the bathtub in the box and it was opened. As soon as she saw it, she said "It's opened", and I told her I knew it was open. I let her know the product wasn't what I expected and it wasn't used. It was purchased the day before and I had the receipt and the only thing "wrong" with it was that the box was opened. She tells me that according to their policy, they couldn't accept my return Bc it was opened. So I asked her if it was Ross' policy or HER policy. She stayed quiet and said that the policy was on their receipt so I read the policy on the receipt and told her it says nothing about open packages. She said that was in the policy and she gave up and told me she'd let me return this and she guessed she would have to tape the box up. After I got my refund and left the store, I looked on their website for an in depth return policy and it says NOTHING about open packages, only opened software. read more
