For the reviewers who have given this place anything below a 4, I cannot really see why they would. Outside of a long line that I did not want to wait in, this location was great. Your normal Nordstrom Rack store, full of luxury items priced at non-luxury numbers. I can also see, because of that, why the line was as long as it was. I was also torn between giving 5 and 4 stars but opted on 5 after the staff was not only engaged with who was checking out, but additional staff was on the salesfloor assisting with either that or restocking in between. read more

This was a poor customer experience. I purchased a suit and returned it. At the register, the cashier(Lynne) admitted that she did not scan the jacket during the original purchase. That error is the reason the jacket was not on the receipt. Instead of correcting the situation, the store refunded only the pants, kept both items, and sent me out with nothing. At no point was I given a clear option before the transaction was processed. I spoke with the store manager, Alexandra, who repeated policy but did not take ownership of the fact that this situation was caused by a cashier error. I am not asking for anything free. I am expecting a reasonable resolution when a store makes a mistake. Leaving with no merchandise and no solution is not acceptable. read more

Beware: Hostile Staff and No Management Support at This Location! If I could give zero stars, I would. I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at the Pentagon Centre Nordstrom Rack. I came in to return a pair of boots, and instead of being helped, I was immediately accused by Marquitta V. of having worn them -- with absolutely no reason. She argued aggressively over a missing sticker, treating me like I was trying to scam the store. It was offensive, embarrassing, and completely out of line. When I asked for a manager, I was told the manager was "on break" and no one else could help me. No accountability, no solution -- just a dismissive attitude from the staff. This kind of hostile and unprofessional treatment is unacceptable, especially from a brand like Nordstrom Rack. Clearly, customer respect and proper service training are missing here. I won't be returning to this location and would strongly caution others to take their business elsewhere. read more

I traveled all the way from Mobile, Alabama to come to this store because the selection online doesn't have Large Tall or Extra Large Tall men fashion. I wasn't disappointed and the kicker was the men shoes. Granted since Covid people aren't necessarily dressed to the nines anymore. But who doesn't like or admire a sharpe dressed man. There's probably at least six more pairs of shoes I plan to get before departure. Kudos Nordstrom Rack. Update your selection online and increase your bottom line. read more

I love this store. It Is cross the street from Pentagon Mall. Costco and CVS are in the same strip mall. (Regular) Nordstrom is across the street at the mall. I like parking by Harris Teeter (free parking for one hour, plus $1.00 in the meter gets you 2 hours. Nordstrom Rack validates parking for one hour (info desk stamps your ticket). Nordstrom Rack is spacious and organized. Some of the handbags are overpriced, but 1) It is Nordstrom. 2) I think the previous store was TJ Maxx or Marshals. There are lots of fun gift items: cellphone covers, mask packs, jewelry, kitchen items. There is a large shoe selection. The clothes are hit or miss. If you download the Nordstrom Rack app you get $5 credit. If you apply for a credit card (and it is accepted) you get a $40 credit. You can order online and pick up at the store or have items delivered. They have a selection of masks (cloth or disposable). The staff was nice. Chevy's restaurant is around the corner. Bonus points for the upbeat music. read more

The older woman with gray hair that was managing the fitting room demanded that I hang every single item (there were about twenty items) that I tried on, on a clothing rack behind her as I told her I needed to checkout with the items I chose as the store was closing. When I asked her if it was. Formal for me to Do her job, she just stared blankly at me. I ended up not buying anything as the store was closing, because of her unbelievably unprofessional and bizarre behavior. DO YOUR JOB. read more

I can't speak for the actual store, but the customer service over the phone was great. Faith was the name of the employee that helped me and I called about a pair of shoes that were supposed to be delivered there. They were having trouble locating my package, but she went above and beyond to try to find it for me (I.e. looking all over, calling Nordstrom to see if it had gotten delivered there by mistake instead, looking up my tracking info on fedex and sharing with me that info, etc). Annoying that my shoes weren't there when Nordstrom's website said that they were, but it ended up being a mistake on FedEx's end, not Nordstrom Rack's. Faith was incredibly nice and just easy to talk to-- customer service is so unbearable these days that my experience was enough to get on here and write a review. Give Faith a raise!! read more

This is a rather small location for the Rack. The shoe selection is pretty decent for the size of the store. While I did find a couple things it took awhile to find things that are current styles with limited available sizing. The staff was friendly which is nice and the store is fairly well organized although it's difficult to find anyone who works there other than the front desk. The store was kept fairly clean and the shoe department, which is often where you can see the lack of attention was well organized. Took a star off for lack of staffing and another for lack of selection with merchandise. read more

I spent $272 at The Rack on Dec 21 and went back to exchange a few items Dec 22nd (2022). I also bought boots due to the cold. I wore them across the street (indoors for 7 hours) my shift as a seasonal employee. I took the boots back because they were too big and not fitting my foot. I went to exchange or get a gift card but they have a policy if the tags are off and you wore them you are stuck with them. I spent $49.99 for them. They sit in my kitchen. So, I'm going to box them up and send them to Seattle to the Board of Director's for Notdstrom and they can determine what to do with them; keep them, give them to a needy person or whatever. Women buy shoes everyday and they may not fit right and have to return them. I'm LIVID THAT I AM stuck with a pair of shoes I cannot use and I feel like The Rack has a way of stealing your hard earned money at the same time. The Manager and Customer Service Manager (FAITH JONES) She was loud and nasty with her tone with a Nordstrom Employee, I might add. Her and the Manager (JACQUELINE SIMMONS) looked at my boots as if I played soccer in them. I had them for four days. I wanted an exchange for something else or a Gift Card. They refused. I could even seen them making an exchange. Nope policy is policy according to The Rack! Seattle CEO look for a pair of boots coming your way. One thing for sure you lost a new customer for good. I frequent this Nordstrom rack often when I'm in need of statement pieces and outfits that are unique. It's sort of hit or miss depending on what I can find on the rack, but I generally have a lot of my favorite prices from Nordstrom. The one thing I will day about this location is that the checkout line is frequently slow and it takes a while to pay for your items if the line is especially long and you happen to get there at a busy time. The store clerks are super helpful with checking their systems for other sizes or other designs that might be similar. They also have a tailor on site at this location, but I believe it's by appointment only and I'm not sure of how long that process takes, but something to keep in mind if you find something that might not fit quite right. read more

The clothing selection here looks large at first, but most of the time I leave emptyhanded. The prices aren't as discounted as you'd expect at a Nordstrom Rack, and most of the items are made in China, which is a dealbreaker for me. The discount shoes tend to be reasonably priced, but you need to inspect them carefully because nearly all of them are here because they're scuffed. You might be able to polish the scuffs out or you might not, so you just need to know you're taking your chances. Checkout is slow because the cashiers don't work very quickly and there are usually only two cashiers on duty. Right now there's a separate line for returns, which is good because even one of those problem cases can occupy a cashier for 10 minutes, but I'd never seen that separate line before so it's probably just for the period after Christmas. read more

I love coming to Nordstrom Rack, especially during clearance sales. All clearance items are marked with a red tag and you can take an additional 25% off that price. The selection at this location is not as good because it is a smaller store. The space in between racks and aisles is tight, but they do provide smaller shopping carts to ease your way through the crowded space. The lines are very long, despite express mobile checkout being offered. There are only 4 cashiers at the main checkout area, and the line kept growing. I did not see many of the staff carrying a mobile device, so perhaps additional equipment could help. Once it was my turn to check out, the store associate was very patient with handling my returns and processing the transaction for my new purchase. My dress cost $8 after the additional discount! You can definitely find a great bargain during the clearance sale if you are willing to peruse through the sale items. There is parking in the garage that leads you directly to the store. You can validate your parking ticket at the kiosk outside of the store if you show them your receipt (showing proof of purchase from the store for that day). However, it is not entirely free once you get it validated. I think they charge you once you surpass the one hour time limit for it to be free. read more

I was surprised at how many visitors were here on Halloween. I left work early with the plan to browse Nordstrom Rack, thinking I would be one of the few as other people were going to be out with their children or getting crazy for the night. To my surprise, there were a lot of shoppers here and at other stores in the area. There were some great bags on sale, although many were the only ones left. For example, I saw a mini Le Pliage Longchamp for $59.97 (originally $95.00). I saw a Classic Q - Baby Grovee from Marc by Marc Jacobs for $198.97 (originally $378.00). A beautiful burgundy Classic Q - Hillier from Marc by Marc Jacobs was on sale for $234.97 (originally $428.00). There was also a stunning black Carnegie Accordion Brief from Tumi for $355.97 (originally $595.00), and two Le Pliage Wheeled Carry ons from Le Pliage in pink and in red for $199.97 each (originally $355.00). A lot of women were in the shoe section and it seemed like 20 - 30% of the store was devoted to clearance items. Workers here seem genuinely nice and helpful. While they chat amongst each other, I found many quick and willing to help direct customers to appropriate sections of the store. This is one of my favorite places to peruse, especially on a Friday afternoon/evening. There seems to be a sense of discount shopper decorum and great pleasure derived from finding bargains. I once found a bra for $0.01 and have heard they have been known to have similar deals scattered about the store. read more

She ignored me and starred at me waiting for me to tell her what I needed. Hmmmm has she heard of "hello how may I have you today" basic customer service. she kept ignoring me and rolling her eyes , thanks for nothing. Overall I seemed to have been bothering her, I just grabbed my receipt and walked out. I wanted to purchase a handbag and look around after my transaction but she ruined my positive attitude and I just went home without shopping . Your establishment is usually built around a better customer service, the service I received today was unacceptable and shocking . Nordstrom Rack is rich distant cousin of TJ Max, Ross and Marshalls but more organized and trendy. This location is one of the best ones I've been to. Its clean and well kept. I can actually push a cart through the departments! I love to get my high end perfumes for cheap like Coach, Burberry or MJ. I found some Urban Decay stuff for a bargain! They also have NYX but they are expensive here. For NYX go to CVS or Ulta for sales. They have a lot of Burt Bees beauty collection for a bargain. They have those Alex and Ani bangles staring at 14.99, at the department store is twice as much. I bought the cutest jammies set on clearance. They have right now a lot of winter coats on clearance. Northface was on clearance, too bad it wasnt in my size. Sexy lingerie in all sizes. Designer bags!! Cute shoes!! Housewares are limited but cute! Dressing rooms are tiny!! Employees are hard to find. Either they on the register or at the fitting room. Lines are long but they seem to get you out quickly. I signed up for their rewards because I've been shopping here regularly. Weekends is very busy. It's better to shop during the week. read more

I'm disappointed in one of my favorites! This location has declined in the past year. The once organized racks and containers are now a disheveled mess. Good luck finding the designer discount you want without digging through the mess. Recently, it's taken me twenty minutes or more to check out due to understaffed registers. I love Nordstrom Rack. You can typically find some great deals here and they have a variety of products and clothing. I had never been to this particular store before, but I was in the area so I thought that I would stop by. If you shop here on a weekend, it is somewhat of a nightmare. This location shares a small parking lot/garage with Costco, Marshalls, Best Buy, and a few other stores. You are required to pay per hour, but you can get your ticket validated. I do like that the entrance to these stores are inside, like a shopping mall. When we arrived in the store, I was disappointed with how small their purses section was. There really isn't a big selection here. They do have a huge shoe section, which I always love. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything that I wanted to purchase. In regards to parking validation, the store does not do this, but there is a desk in the center of the mall that does. If you do not purchase something and have a receipt, you do not get your parking validated. This is the reason that I will never come back to this location. read more

If I could I would give this 3.5 stars. The location is OK but it's not very large. The men's section has enough to get by but not something that you would go out of your way to stop and shop for. I was lucky enough to find a pair of dress pants and a tie however. If you're looking for a really great Nordstrom rack, however, I would choose another location aside from this one. Customer service from majority of employees were pleasant however this one African employee in the lingerie was completely rude. Followed me around the store the entire time. Assuming I was stealing without even trying to service me. I felt entirely uncomfortable at the store. This has NEVER happened to me. I asked for her name and she refused to provide it. I even showed her inside my bag to prove I had no items. Next time I ship ay this store I will request a manager present.
