This was my first time in a Ross... It is another, on the cheap side, store filled with all kinds of "value" items. Some of the items are a find... some of them are a find but cheap in quality, and some of the stuff is just cheap in quality. It is a large treasure hunt where you have to be leery of the gotchas! Those items that you think your getting a great deal on and then they fall apart in a day or so. However if you have the time, the inclination, and a discerning eye this can be a great place to find a bargain and some fun things. read more

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST ROSS I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! There's was only one person working a register and she said she was the only person working there. Then I se another lady picking up hangers behind register 1. The line wrapped around the isle. I asked the lady who was picking up hangers if she could open up the register. Her response was it's this time and I am suppose to be off so I have to ask if I can stay. I let her know there is only one person working and you can't help.?? The place is disgustingly DIRTY. Clothes are all over the floor in the store and both dressing rooms covered with clothes on the seat and all over the floor. I was looking at something in an isle and another customer said, " ohh be careful there is a big bug behind the stuff. Amelia is the manager. I asked to speak to her from the one cashier. Went to this location recently and was surprised that when I needed help to take something to my car, the cashier told me that she was the only one working there. Hence, I had to leave the item as it would've taken two persons to take it to the vehicle. So very disappointed! read more

They have two lines here. One for returns and the other for purchases but it doesnt matter. Even if you go in line in the returns area before someone goes into the purchases line they dont really care. They alternate, but it should be first come first serve. I took a picture of the lady at the front but it was because I was a bit mad, and while I am writing this review the manager is following me around which is very disrespectful. Even the people behind me were mad but I guess she was just following policy. But the people at the fitting room are nice and while I was at the cash registers the cashier came over and apologized to me which I really appreciated. read more

Just was in this Ross location , North Point, in front of the doors there are 2 trash cans one on each side; literally overflowing with trash , trash is on the ground also, In the parking lot. Not sure if the Ross employees are responsible for taking out the trash or if there is a maintenance person who does it for all the stores in this shopping center but it looks Horrible, plus side went around 10 am hardly anyone in the store, thought it would be packed with Christmas returns but nope . If I could I give this store no stars!! Stopped In at 10 am on a Sunday morning, my usual cheery self with my two boys, we came in for a quick stop to pick up a mat for my kitchen the store was pretty much empty just a couple shoppers and about 3 employees nothing crazy not busy at all. I grabbed my items and made my way to check out where I was not greeted or acknowledged at all by the very upset/ irritable cashier whom rolled her eyes at me and my children as We made our way towards her check out station I nicely asked are you open?, she responded with the rudest tone of voice "I'm standing here!!" I did a double take and said excuse me ? And She responded with the same answer again I was utterly shocked at her disgusting behavior and said to her well mam your lights not on and I'm just making sure you can check me out she then again aggressively answered none of them are on ! And Walked off yelling she didn't have time for this and that her manager could check me out. The manager approached the check out didn't even acknowledge the situation until I mentioned it and she defended the employees behavior by saying they were very over worked ?! Well yikes we all are , im in the medical field and I know that more than anyone but I don't go on mis treating people for showing up to my place of work, in conclusion the manager very reluctantly said she'd address the situation with the employee which I very much doubt, I hardly shop at ROSS and this given situation reminded me why I don't shop at ROSS. Their athletic selection was very scarce. First off, the sign that is supposed to guide you to this department/area was way off. Instead of hovering over the actual athletic area, it was over an open space with lots of random tops and bottoms. To top this off, their selection (both style and size) was very poor. :\ Granted I did find one long sleeve top that actually fit. Other than that, I was very disappointed. Check-out time... Double :\ How is it possible that you have 3 or 4 (not an exaggerated #) employees at the front registers with only 1 actually doing the ringing. Although there was only two customers in line, it would have been the decent thing to do to actually, well I don't know, provide the customer service you are paid to provide. I mean come on! The lady hogging the only register had a return and was being fussy about something too. Oh and that is NOT it, unfortunately. As I am standing there kind of having a confused look on my face, this one employee just seemed to think it was alright to cut between me and the space I was providing to avoid the fussy customer in front of me. Um. Have you ever heard of "pardon me" or "excuse me"? This was not a 3 feet space or anything like that. It was a close encounter. Something that would deem appropriate since the employee was cutting into my "personal" space. Needless to say, this is my first and last visit here. If I could give a negative 0 stars for this location I would. At this point I don't even know why I continue to torture myself by patronizing them. The custom service throughout the store is deplorable. One day while talking the security guard about the customer service, he informed me they treat people this way because of the demographics that shop there. I was beyond pissed! It makes no since at all that the manager runs his store like he's in the hood. In the hood deserve great customer service......I digress. Today the store closes at 7pm. I (by myself with not a soul in sight) am at the door at 6:50 and the entrance door is locked. Before giving up and leaving I beg the security to allow me to look for 1 thing for my sons birthday. He says "My manager told us to close early (per usual). Please ask if I could look for 1 thing. Him: By the time he answers it'll be 7:00". Me: "I'll wait" Him (3 minutes later) "He's not letting any in, plus if we let you in we have to let everyone else in. Now with a small family approaching, I leave. Fun fact I have been in the retail customer service industry a pretty good part of my working life. And I get it, you want to get people out so you can clean and go home. But in no way should you sacrifice treating people fairly and with respect. Not talking about this SPS he was very nice and respectful. I myself will not make anymore attempts to shop here. I truly hope enough people read this and if you have experienced similar issues, to call customer service and complain. So very disappointed in the staff at Ross. My daughter, who is very disabled from an auto accident was on a cane and in a line for check out. She struggled to walk into the short line at the return register...and the clerk told her to go back and use the "roped" area that funnelled the line, but was currently empty. When my daughter complied another shopped jumped into her spot and was helped by that same clerk! I've seriously thought of pursuing action through the Americans with Disabilities Act. FIGURE IT OUT! This is the least successful location of all of the Ross stores. Over the years it has struggled with cleanliness, organization and good customer service. It is also one of the most shopped stores due to his proximity to the mall and other stores. The key to shopping here is to lower your expectations. If you lower your expectations you won't be disappointed and if you find something awesome, it then becomes EPIC. I consider this a just in case store, which means that I always check it "just in case" something cool is lurking in the wings. My greatest finds were a couple of large metal easels. I use one to display art, (family caricature) and one to display a mirror in my office. During this same trip, I also found a couple of metal lamp posts and a nice mirror. This location is better suited for finding household items although you can occasionally find great clothing deals. If you want to find the best clothing selection, I recommend the Johns Creek location. With Ross, each store tends to have its own flavor or character. Once you figure it out, you will know how, when and where to shop. read more

I wanted to purchase some shoes( Rockports) and they tried to change the price after they rung it up for what it was mark down for (19.99) and the cashier admit that they mistakenly mark them down for 19. 99 and that they are suppose to be 39.99 and if i wanted them i have to pay 39.99. I ask for the manager (Ralph) and when he finally came he say that it was a mistake . I than ask him to acknowledge the price because it was there mistake and that's the law..... He rudely say he don't have to acknowledge a thing and the price is 39.99, I ask for cooperate number and he say some 1800 number rudely walking off as saying it . I ask the cashier to take a picture as she start to tear off there price of 19.99 so she allow me to and I just politely took the picture and walk away empty handed...... It's difficult to find a lot of good things to say about the store. I go in here sometimes and find some really cute things at decent prices but I'm not sure that it justifies dealing with the disorganization and the poor customer service. The store just always seems chaotic, things are all jumbled up and it just doesn't seem clean. Nothing looks new and shiny, sometimes it just looks tired. Customer service is nonexistent, I don't believe they know the meaning of the word. There are usually a couple of cashiers with one, maybe two registers open. They don't speak to you they don't offer to help you with anything and they can't answer any questions. Frequently there are many customers in line, with this one register open while a manager hovers nearby but does nothing. I shop here, I will return here, because of the items. If there were another store that had the same items at these prices, with this variety, that was clean and halfway friendly I never come here again. read more

They used to have many interesting items when I moved into the neighborhood a month and a half ago. But not anymore. Ross is like a TJ Maxx crossed with a Walmart. Shopping here is like going on a treasure hunt; you've got to search through a lot of stained, torn, and broken clothing. Sometimes, you'll walk away empty handed. However, then you'll find a designer sweater dress that was originally over $100, for $12.99, and all that searching will be worth it. Ross also has a huge selection of dresses (ranging from cocktail to work appropriate) and suits. Almost everything is under $30. Also, all Ross stores seem to have just as many plus size clothes for women as regular sizes. If you see a cute dress in a 4, they probably also have it in a 14. read more

I like Ross, sometimes, on this particular visit 5-16-14 I promise you that the dresses in my size looked like they came from the flea market. Ross gives me the feel that it is closing when I enter their stores. They have lots of space, but the racks are sparse. The sizes are wrong too. Where do they get those shoes from? Ross is one of those cheap discount clothes retailers. There's also some bath products, luggage, and food sections, but those are pretty small. They have a large selection and cheap prices, so no complaints there. The industrial lighting makes it feel a bit like a warehouse but I'm not sure what else to expect from a discount place. While I noticed everything was in order, when I went up to pay I was not even greeted or thanked at the end of my transaction. Also, I was told to put my basket back at the front entrance. We were waiting in line for 20 minutes waiting and he was waiting less than a minute. DO NOT SHOP HERE! My 85 year old mother and I were robbed inside this store. 1 of the reasons i take my mom here is because i felt safe leaving her on her walker, while i would shop and try on clothes. They have a huge sign when you walk in the store stating the store is monitored by cameras for customers protection, and they stated that they have security there as well. When I went to try on clothes, I noticed my purse, that had been in my cart, had been unzipped and EVERYTHING was gone. I ran back to my mom. She was sitting on her walker, shaking. After I had gone to the dressing room, a woman approached my mom, and tried to steal her purse, that was on the handle of her walker. My mom clutched her bag and screamed. The woman ran out the door. She had obviously been watching us, and when I turned to show my mom the clothes I was trying on, this person unzipped my purse. Took my wallet, make up and cell phone. I had over $200.00 in cash, credit cards, checkbook, license, etc. We called police, and spoke with the manager. She informed us the cameras were broken and had been for months, and there wasnt a security guard there that day. It took me 2 weeks to get a return call from the corporate office in Los Angeles. When they called, they referred me to their insurance company. Another week to hear back from them. When I finally spoke with a person, I explained what happened, and that the reason we shopped there was we felt safe due to their advertising they had cameras monitoring the store. All I was asking for was to be reimbursed for the cash, and the cost of replacing my license, make up, phone, and wallet. I explained my poor mom was traumatized, as was I, since the thieves not only wiped me out, but also knew where I now lived. The person representing Ross, rudely informed me that they're not responsible for my stolen things, or the fact my mom was completely traumatized and couldn't sleep at night. I explained their cameras were broken and had been for months, that I was not a wealthy person and this would cripple me financially. The insurance person stated it wasnt their problem, but if I wanted a little gift card to Ross, she would see what she could do. This is a million dollar company. We were robbed inside their store. I've always loved Ross. I think I have shopped at Ross for basically my whole life. Sometimes going here is a Mission: Impossible, but other times I find the purse (or whatever it was) I've been looking for. I usually go here for purses/handbags because you can usually find some really nice bags at a deeply discounted price. I also buy my winter coats from here. This is a good store. I'm normally a Marshalls girl but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw their vast selection of pretty much everything. You do have to look really hard because I don't think their dresses are sorted very well but who cares, you're getting a really good deal. Poorest customer service of any Ross I have ever been to. The employees were very rude and unfriendly. I don't know if the management does not treat them well or what the issue is but it is very apparent that none of them want to be there. If they don't want to be there, why would I? It's unfortunate that they lost me as a customer because this Ross is the closest to me. I've actually gone to Ross by Mall of GA, which is twice as far for me to drive, but I like to feel welcomed when I walk into a store to spend money. The Ross there is much better, not to mention, the selection is so much bigger! I'm sure that this location will lose more and more customers if this disappointing attitude from the employees keeps going and I would not be surprised if I drive by there one day and it's a Hobby Lobby or a company that knows how to treat its customers- at least with the basic courtesy. I'm usually a TJMaxx shopper, but decided to walk to Ross because I had been next door at Buy Buy Baby. The store is not well organized which makes it hard to find anything- especially shoes. I didn't have much time, and I can't begin to tell you how annoying it was finding a pair I liked only to realize they were in the wrong size section. (Literally all of them). Also, customer service is non existent. I tried asking an employee where the restroom was (I'm 9 months pregnant), and instead of helping me, she hopped on the phone to the front desk and started chatting away, refusing to acknowledge me. When I did find the bathrooms, they were something out of a horror film. I'll spare you the details, but hands down, the grossest bathroom I've ever stepped into. (As in wanted to call the health dept bad. ) The prices are cheap and cheaper than TJMaxx on most items, but it's not worth it. I don't know how this place is in business. read more

I'm elderly and needed some assistance, I asked one of the employees(Joy) for help and to my surprise she completely ignored me. I asked for the manager on duty, and guess what she replied "I am". I absolutely love Ross. I am from Central Florida and no matter where I go I look for a Ross. I find things at a reasonable price that would be high priced elsewhere. So when I hit Atlanta I was so happy to find so many Ross's, and there is a lot of different stuff in each one, I guess it is by demographics. Love it, love it, love it read more
