I normally shop at the Maurice's in DeKalb IL but I was in the area of this Maurice's and had a…read moresimple return. I had planned on keeping the top but then I seen they had a size that fits me better available online so I ordered that one. The tags are still on my top that I wanted to return. The robotic store manager barked at me when I entered the shop asking if I had a return. I proceeded to browse then found nothing else so I went to the counter to process my return. The same robot was waiting on me and barked at me that I couldn't return without an order number. I asked her if she could look it up with my Maurice's card and she rolled her eyes and said "NOOOO". She was making me so uncomfortable because she kept barking over and over "order number....I just need an order number!!" I was trying to find it in my email and she started whispering to one of the other clerks about me. I walked out without a word and know from now on I'll stick to the shop in DeKalb where I've never been treated rudely at all.

However, on February 14th I went in to buy a pair of pants and a shirt and saw a lady with blonde hair loudly criticizing one of her co-workers. Apparently, the blonde haired employee did not like the way her co-worker handled a situation. The way the lady was speaking , she seemed to be a store manager or other form of management personnel. I understand employees can make mistakes but whenever there is an opportunity for coaching like what I witnessed, leadership should ALWAYS take an employee to the back AWAY from the customers. Not only is this common courtesy but the proper way to provide feedback. To witness the employee being ridiculed in front of everyone made me so utterly upset I had to leave the store right away. I couldn't imagine how that worker must be feeling inside and I am disappointed with the upper management at Maurice's. They need to do better by treating their employees with the respect they deserve. To be honest, I regret not speaking up that day and standing up for the employee.

I've been coming here for several decades since they opened and I've always really enjoyed this place. It is unfortunate that the Nordstrom's had taken away the live piano player which I thought brought some really great ambience and differentiated them in the market. However, this Nordstrom is definitely well stocked all year-round and carries a heck of a lot more product than the Woodfield or the Skokie location. Also, what I love about Nordstrom even after all these years is that they are very well staffed. No matter where you go in the store there's always someone willing and ready to help. I think it also helps because the Nordstrom sales staff is in fact incentivized. Over the years, the store has also changed, especially with the offerings from the café coffee shop restaurant, etc. However, when they first opened, I was in my teens if not early 20s and that particular section of the store always had some of the best selection. As well as some of the best brands. I still love coming here to this day and it's also a better sales tax then Woodfield, the city or Skokie

It was one of the best shirts I ever owned, Wish I had bought five more. Today I wouldn't wear Any shirt I saw in the Whole Place. My Grandfather bought his suits here the would take me for a Guinness in the Pub. I emulate his style. After I went to Von Maur and found everything I needed in forty-five minutes. I don't know if the buyers have lost their minds? I want to look like a man and no I will not spend a Thousand Bucks on a pair of dress shoes. Get I together- this is Nordstroms. We as customers expect more.
