Went to check out the cheap art supplies and snacks, had no choice but to use the bathroom. Women's bathroom was a disaster, with toilet paper all over the floor, unflushed toilets, etc. While using the bathroom I spotted something crawling along the floor and snapped a picture before it got away, noticing after a moment it was a bed bug! I quickly got out of that bathroom and reported it, paid for my things, and left. Do yourself a favor, don't ever use the bathrooms there. And if they are in the bathroom, it's very likely they are in the fitting room and even among the clothes! Won't be returning for a while in hope that they take care of this issue ASAP. read more

Ross has often been my go-to store for various necessities. The selection is good, and the prices are pretty decent for the most part. They sell both men and women's clothing, shoes, handbags, perfume, hair accessories, kitchenware, bathroom items, etc. However, I have several complaints that need to be addressed. Firstly, every time I walk in, all the cashiers always look so depressed and expressionless. It's like they are getting beat up in the break room or something lol. Secondly, most of their shopping carts are horrible. The wheels don't turn and/or they are wonky and wobbly. If you have fragile items in your cart, you need to be extra careful, when pushing the bad carts around. Third issue I have is with the checkout process. I don't understand, why the cashiers are so impatient with the customers. They do not smile or greet you before and after the transactions. They will call the next customer over to their register, while still tending to the customer in front of them...??!! Especially when the customer they are currently helping, has not had the chance to pay, bag their own items, or place anything in their cart yet. It's rude, bizarre, and they do this every time!! They make you feel like you are just a number to them, and not a paying customer. The cashiers also refuse to hand you your receipt, they force you to grab it yourself every time. Usually cashiers in other big box stores, will hand you your receipt, but not the cashiers at Ross stores apparently. Regardless if a customer wants their receipt or not, the cashier should still politely hand it to them. For these reasons alone, I think they should just do self-checkout. Fourth issue I have is the quality of their bedding sets. I bought a white comforter set. Before using the comforter for the first time, I washed it just once (following the washing and drying instructions on the tag of course) and the underside of the comforter completely lost its softness. It had such a coarse and rough texture on it, that I cannot use it without a duvet. Again this was after just one single wash. I tried to use a lint remover/fabric shaver too, but it did not work. I am so disappointed because the comforter is beautiful, but not soft anymore like when I first brought it home :( On a separate occasion, I purchased an indoor lounge chair, that featured a gold metal frame, with a white seat cushion. I didn't notice there was black permanent marker type graffiti, on part of the gold metal frame of the chair, until I got home. I was going to return the chair, but I knew if I returned it and revisited the store at a later time, I would probably never see the exact same chair again. I also thought I could easily remove the graffiti myself, with home remedies. I tried several removal methods, but alas nothing worked. So I had no choice, but to purchase gold spray paint, to cover up the graffiti. It was a little irritating, because I had to spend more money, than I needed to. I wish I had taken a picture of the graffiti on the chair, before I spray painted it. I am a bit worried now, that other furniture items, might also have graffiti, dents, or scratches on them. Sometimes I see customers chilling on random furniture pieces, while not actually buying any furniture. I assume that's why there is graffiti on some furniture pieces?? Ross employees should enforce rules, about customers sitting on random furniture. Unfortunately, I now have to be extra cautious, when thinking about buying furniture, or bedding from Ross. Like I said, I think Ross should really consider self-checkout machines. Every time I come in, I feel like I am doing all the work, during the transaction process. Since the cashiers lack any type of customer service, there is really no point in them being there. It is a disappointing because although Ross is nice, the employees are not. read more

What began as a good day, ended with such a horrible experience. It began with my mom and I being in line to checkout and this cashier gave us a stare that made me feel uncomfortable because it looked like she had an attitude. As were in line, we end up getting called to her register. She's an African-American cashier and she's still helping out the person before us and tells me, "Put everything up here" in a rude tone so that's why I start doing. As I'm almost done putting my items on her counter, she encounters a technical issue with her register and tells me to put everything back in my cart and go to register #3. Okay, technical problems happen I get it. We go to register 3 where another cashier is helping out a customer who has a long transaction is doing a return and a purchase so we wait. The first cashier, tells another associate to open on #2 and so she does. She calls the next people in line and they go to her. Time passes, we're still waiting to be helped on #3 so once #2 calls the next customer, we go to her instead. She's still finishing up with the family prior to us so we wait. I start putting our things on her counter and when she saw that I had a return, she sends us back to #3. At this point, my mom is already frustrated and changes her mind and takes her items out of the cart. I still have a return and a purchase so we continue waiting in line at register #3 the same customer from before is still being helped out. The very first cashier who helped us, ends up getting her system back up and running, and calls us BACK to her register. That's already 4 times we've been sent back and forth from register to register. My mom is now extremely upset and expresses to me how it's not fair or right that they just have us switching registers. The cashier turns to her quickly as if she's ready to tell her something but remembers she's on the clock and with an attitude says,"Well I had to reset my register because it froze." I ended up putting my return and what I'm going to purchase neatly and separated so she can tell it apart and because she's flustered, she asks, "Wait whats your return and what are you purchasing?" because she had mixed everything together for some reason so I had to go back in and separate the items but the ENTIRE time I was nice to her even though she had a rude and annoyed tone of voice with us. Once my return is finished, I'm about to purchase my other items and since it's Discount Tuesday my mom told me to mention it to the cashier and the cashier immediately turned her down and didn't honor it. She goes to say, "You already got money back so you can't get a discount" and then instead of handing me my receipt, she tells me to grab it on my own. I was immediately able to tell this was her way of trying to be petty. Not once did we get an apology from ANY associate, well cashier 1 specifically. It's March 2022 and I really needed to use the restroom. I politely asked and the employee said that there is a restroom (duh right) but that it is not in service. Which I don't believe. I think they are doing that thing they did at the height of the pandemic where they just didn't want people to use their restrooms. It was more understandable back then but now? March 2022? Not sure why there's so many bad reviews but I found this Ross location to be pretty awesome. Its more organized, and pretty good choices of causal shoes for the mens section. Yes, there is a Marshalls in the same plaza but I never got the chance to check it out. Out of all the ross store's I've been to, this is probably the most organized location. If I could give 0 stars, I would because my mom and I had the worst experience at this Ross. The cashier, I wanna say her name is something like Marissa. (Started with Mar) had the worst customer service and attitude. My mom was going to give her change but she reaponded so rudely saying just give me the dollar and being the nice person my mom is, she gave her the dollar. It was 61 cents so she said she wants to at least give her a penny so she doesn't get any pennies back, then the rude woman goes no it's okay and rejects her penny and gives her 39 cents back. Excuse me? Who are you to demand how we should be paying. We as customers should have the right to pay however we want. We came out a little stunned and it started really bothering how she treated her so I went back in and asked for her name. She quickly covers her name tag and says I am sorry? A pair of sandals had no price which she then asked me to go look for similar merchandise, I asked her to have an associate so that please. She then explained what I'm to look for which is the retail price amount since the Ross was removed. So I complied and went looking for the sandals as she stated, then she was easing her voice at me like I was a child of hers saying "you need to go back and look for the same kind" I asked her once again if she could have an associate please go look for what she is ask, I don't understand why it was so difficult for her to provide Good customer service. Both female cashiers were so rude. Not even a greeting. She saw my toddler asking for her doll and I said out loud "let her scan it and then she'll give it back", usually every cashier has given the toy to my child after scanning. Not this girl, she placed it in a bag while listening to my toddler ask for it. Then my husband held up a small kid size couch for her to scan and she continued to scan the other items until As she clearly saw him pick it for her to scan. The cashier next to her then (along with the same long face and negative attitude) walk to side not even saying excuse me and almost bumping into my husband carrying the small couch stood by the side arranging some hangers. We pay and began to make our way towards the exit and she just stands in the middle of the pathway.... Really???? My husband says excuse me and she just slightly moves . We have a cart and a couch!!! So then I say "excuse us." In a much louder voice. If you work in Customer service at least fake it until your shift is over. I get we all have bad days but don't make others pay for it. read more

I feel like I am in prison when I come here. Loss prevention standing at the door when you walk in. And if you have a drink, they won't let you in with it. Seriously? When you go to the fitting room they make YOU place the items on a rack so you can get a ticket with the number of garments you are taking in. The fitting room looks like prison stalls. So dark and dreary. Oh and if you want to use the restroom you have to be buzzed in by the fitting room attendant. Just not how I prefer to shop. I'd rather go to Marshalls or TJ max where I can browse the isles drinking my iced coffee and use the restroom without anyone's permission. read more

Came here just to pass some time. Like many Ross stores, by the end of the night, the store is a hot mess. Many guests have already rummaged through the deals, tossing unwanted merchandise and recklessly leaving a mess for their associates to clean up. I didn't expect to find anything to purchase, and by the time I walked out the door, I was empty handed. One of the things hate to do when shopping is working to find something. I'm not a big fan of digging through strewn clothes or any merchandise piled in an unorganized manner. So stores like this I walk around with no intent to buy, but if something catches my eye, I may make a purchase. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE Ross! This is by far my favorite location. The staff is helpful and friendly. It's not the largest Ross, but I love their shoe section. This is the only place I can find boots AND tennis/running shoes in my giant 10 size. It's rare to find good quality for reasonable prices. Ross lets me shop til I drop without making me regret it too much. I only gave them 4 stars because I will never understand why there's a lingerie section and the sizes that fill that particular section. read more

The employees are a bit surly, but the line was moving pretty fast, the store was relatively clean, and I found some good deals. I can't really blame the employees, because, you know, the world seems to be spinning out of control. Deborah..the angry cashier. I waited in a huge line to walk up with no greeting. No acknowledgement. I knew she was mad because the last person used a 100 dollar bill and I had one too. My daughters said i hope you don't get her because she's mad. I proceed to give my 100 dollar bill she rolls her eyes and shakes her head and turns around and screams across the store she gave all her change already. The worse customer service ever. As I'm waiting in line I hear the cashiers chatting & complaining about How many calls they've received about sales cursing left & right. Then when I finally get to the register to pay I had about 9 bags full plus a big mirror & a long curtain rod & the guys that's supposed to be greeting clients is just talking away with the employees & as I'm getting ready to leave he looks & says you can't take the cart out. I'm like how am I supposed to take all my items to my vehicle it's parked a bit far from here. He said he didn't care that was my problem. If I needed help I could leave the cart there with my items & go get my car to take my stuff in. The manager that is right there now at 12:27 pm March 8 2019 is so stupid I wanted to buy a Nike gym gloves that it didn't have the price so I took another pair of gloves the exact same gloves but different color to that had the price on them so she can check the price it was 5.99 so she said she couldn't give me the other gloves at 5.99 because it was different color that if I want them I would have to pay 12.99 I told her it didn't make any sense to me thah for the exact same gloves she wanted to charge me double just because of the color so I don't know if she is just stupid or she just wanted to give me a hard time. read more

Say what you will about Ross (yes, it is pretty ghetto), but you will find fashionable pieces and hidden treasures for such a good price. my partner and I went to the dressing room together and were in line after someone. he was male presenting but had feminine clothing items. (which wasn't an issue). he asked to try them on and the dressing room attendant, a short, reddish brown haired, hispanic (maybe) woman, was shocked and asked, "are you trying these on?" i was surprised to hear this but went to help my partner try clothes on. my partners brother was waiting for us outside the dressing room area and she very rudely asked him what he was waiting for so he had to walk away. after 18 minutes of trying clothes on she knocked on our dressing room door and said "you guys need to hurry up" and i thought that maybe she needed the dressing room so we left but the entire dressing room was empty. as we were exiting she was coming back in but as she saw us she walked back out which made me believe that she was coming to tell us to hurry again. she was very silent and cold towards us as we left. customer service from this person was overall poor and she should be retrained on her customer service skills and sexual harassment. i don't know her name but she was working dressing room around 5 pm today (may 28). other than this experience from her the rest of the staff was very welcoming and we left with two shirts. read more

Update: I found my son's lamb. 3 employees at the register helped me find it. It was over by the register about to be returned to the shelf at stock.... Even though it was clearly filthy & used. The 3 employees were extremely helpful & went above & beyond. Even though one of them was already off for the day. I guess it was only that stuck up security guard that doesn't know the first thing about customer service. If the square footage were greater, the inventory upkeep would suffer. They need to do something about the lighting (it's on the verge of becoming dismal) and staffing more than just the one employee at Returns. When I'm on the hunt, I can always find something good. read more

Dont come to this location unless you want to feel targeted by employees and security. Such an uncomfortable feeling every where you go an employee or security just staring at you. Not only that but hearing them call for a security scan as your walking to PAY for the items you needed, and see all eyes on you plus hear a manager call over the radio "they are walking to the register" and you are the only person walking to the register. Such an unpleasant experience. The only reason I bought my items is because it was late and I didnt have time to stop anywhere else. This place really needs to learn how to approach certain situations without making their paying customers feel harassed. I thought it was just me overthinking the situation but nope. everywhere i turned there was security. What a way to welcome your customers! read more
