This store is hit or missed, I did found a few things here and there, however the store was almost empty as it was a Monday. I believe they get their shipment Tuesdays and Wednesday this is when you can get a better selection. Overall this is my go to store, however they should organized the clothing racks better and the shoes. I'll be back soon and is Christmas shopping season!

I was so happy to be back at Ross for friendly coworkers and excellent customer services

Watch out...at this Ross the clothing fights back.

They don't have good customer service with the return policy. I even had the receipt and I even talked with the manager of store.

When I checked out on my last trip, the young gentleman at the register kept yawning and barely acknowledged me -- it came across as lacking basic manners and customer service. To make matters worse, a picture frame I bought turned out to be damaged in the corner when I unwrapped it at home. When I brought it back to return, the sales associate spoke to me in an accusatory tone and insisted that I had damaged it. I explained that I discovered the damage only after opening the packaging, but she refused to accept the return. Thankfully, I asked to speak with the Manager, who checked my receipt, realized I had purchased it just the day before, and resolved the situation professionally. I appreciated the manager stepping in, but the interaction should never have escalated to that point. Glad it was ultimately corrected, but the sales associate definitely needs better training in communication, customer courtesy, and how to handle returns without blaming customers.

Anyway...while he was at his appt., I decided to walk around the shopping center (FairLakes Promenade). I had seen Home Sense before but never got around to checking it out. Finally, got to do that today. At first glance, it looked like it was a furniture store. Yes, they have lots of furniture but a deeper look showed there was so much more. There are towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, household cleaning items, rugs and decorative items. My intention was just to look not buy. However, when I saw the food items, I realized that I needed a shopping cart. Things that caught my eye...imported pasta, pasta sauces, spices, sweets and a cleaning formulation for shower doors and mirrors. Truthfully, there were other items that attracted me but I exercised will power. For example, I saw a lovely vase but my sensible side said "we don't need another vase." There was artwork but sensible side said "We have enough of that and only so much wall space". When I went to check out, the cashier was friendly. I found out, when he tried to get me to sign up for a credit card, that they are part of a conglomerate that includes TJ Maxx. No, we don't need another credit card! My haul ended up costing $35 plus change. Once we were home, I showed my husband my haul. He asked what it cost and was pleasantly surprised. Aw, gee! I'm so proud of myself :D So, no regrets for paying Home Sense a visit!

Compared with some of the larger stores, there are fewer showrooms and the selection feels a little more limited, but it still has that familiar IKEA experience. * One of the smaller IKEA locations I've visited, with fewer showrooms than some of the larger stores. * Like most IKEA locations, the store was very clean and well organized. * There's plenty of parking, so finding a spot wasn't an issue. * The café has fewer food options than other IKEA locations I've visited. * Unfortunately, the salmon dinner isn't available at this location. * I also noticed they don't sell the Daim candy bar, which was a little disappointing. * That said, the Swedish meatballs with lingonberry jam still slap and are always a must-have when visiting IKEA. Overall, it's a smaller location with a more limited selection, but it's still clean, easy to navigate, and has plenty of the IKEA staples. I'd probably visit a larger IKEA if I wanted to explore more showrooms, but this location is still worth stopping by if you're in the area.

What an ordeal a small item has become. Generally I like IKEA. This one won't be going to again. It's better to go to the big and regular version. Am underwhelmed by the experience here. It's missing the usual charm, and so many products. That alone means I'll drive further to Woodbridge.

For this review, I will stay away from the controversies Hobby Lobby has been embroiled in, but note that the owners' conservative beliefs are off-putting to many people. The first thing I noticed at Hobby Lobby were the long checkout lines (only a couple lanes were open). The second thing I noticed was the loud elevator music featuring saxophones. The third thing I noticed was the weird cluttered layout. There really aren't any main aisles, it's basically a rabbit warren filled with cheap crafts and an overabundance of religious tchotchkes. Again, I came in to see their art supplies. I did see a row or two with a decent selection of canvases, but zero other art supplies. I saw one row with hobby paints, but that doesn't count. From what I could tell, there are no public restrooms. That doesn't seem very Christian to me. But maybe it was an oversight on my part, that Hobby Lobby does have restrooms and I just missed them. Upon leaving the store, I noticed the checkout lines had barely moved. Other than the fact that I don't live anywhere near this location, I have no motivation to ever shop at Hobby Lobby. Michael's is a much better arts and crafts supply store. Though, if I want to purchase art supplies, Plaza and Blick are my best bets.

What started as a kitchen remodel quickly turned into a full-home renovation because everything was going so smoothly--and that's thanks to the amazing team at Shea Studio and Duran Contracting. Bonnie was our main designer, and she was incredible--super thoughtful, creative, and totally invested in the project. Leah kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and June (the owner) was hands-on during all the key phases. They were all great to work with: professional, seemingly always available, and flexible. What made a huge difference was how much time they spent upfront getting to know our style and what we needed from the space. We'd never done that kind of deep dive before, and it made everything else so much easier. From there, it felt like they just "got" us--they really took our vision and ran with it. They helped us find the right partners for everything--cabinets, appliances, furniture, lighting, even a custom wine room. Everyone they brought in was top-notch and fairly priced. Plus, they handled all the scheduling, deliveries, and any issues that popped up (like damaged items or delays), so we didn't have to worry about a thing. If you're thinking about remodeling or redesigning your home, we can't recommend Shea Studio enough. They're talented, professional, and just great people. Our home even won a Home & Design award this year--and we've included photos so you can see for yourself!

I was kind of awkward at first, knowing that we might have different taste. However, June listened and adjusted to what I liked. In a short time, we selected a delightful suite of living room furniture. June made sure the furniture arrived on time and arrived on the delivery day to put everything gorgeously in place while I worked on my business, including tactfully putting aside some junk and even offering to hang our art. That gave me huge relief, because it was the day before my guests were to arrive, and I had no time to deal with it. I was also impressed that June did many things off the clock and didn't charge us extra when she realized it would suit our taste and lack of time best to order our art gallery wrapped. June also found a way to repurpose four lamps that we had so that they went with the decor where they were situated. I have already hired Shea Studio Interiors for an additional project to spruce up my bedroom and office. Additionally, June's suggestion to move my office from upstairs to downstairs has tremendously benefitted my business operations, will save me on taxes, and will provide me a better sense of peace in the upstairs, "home" part of my home/office. My family was very comfortable using the furniture we selected (except for the jealousy, perhaps), and my sister-in-law said it looked like something out of a magazine! In short, Shea Studio made our house more homey and beautiful and our office more businesslike and functional. Highly recommend.
