I have lived close to this Ross for years. My family from Maryland and Leesburg come and shop at this Ross because it has a consistently great selection. I normally don't give 5 stars, knowing I haven't had all 5 star experiences over the years. That said, I find hidden gems every time I come here. The last time, I found some awesome Sperry and Ugg shoes. I mean, come on, that alone should be enough. I found the cutest tablecloth and glasses too. Every time I walk in there, there is something cool right around the corner. I almost didn't want to share this. It is that good. The checkout can take a while. Although, the staff is always friendly and helpful. I will continue to enjoy shopping here as long as they are open. read more

This one like most discounters, is hit or miss. Sometimes they have quite a selection. Then they seem to be quite empty. It is a little strange, and supply chain issues could be a component. I like the deal on a Nautica shirt recently, and on more socks. The dryer has to eat them. If you're in the are stop by. They have nice and helpful employees. My one issue would be their shoe selection. It's not impressive. Yet for those who want Commanders merchandise for less, you'll be very happy here. Also they have wonderful deals on luggage. This store is hit or missed, I did found a few things here and there, however the store was almost empty as it was a Monday. I believe they get their shipment Tuesdays and Wednesday this is when you can get a better selection. Overall this is my go to store, however they should organized the clothing racks better and the shoes. I'll be back soon and is Christmas shopping season! read more

They should change the hours on this store, they are now closing the fitting rooms at 10:00PM and then tell you that you need to get out of the store by 10:45PM. I totally get it that they are trying to finish their shift early, but at least change the hours online so people don't waste their time going in there this late. read more

I went there looking for shoes and I found exactly what I was looking for in my size. The price was great considering they were a name brand shoe. The checkout line was a different story. It was very long and there was only one entrance into the multiple cash registers. It was moving very slowly at first but did pickup a little once they opened all the registers. Overall it was a good experience despite the long lines. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Multiple bad experiences here. This is the fourth time in two months I've been charged for items that were not put in my bag. Very rude cashier. Shorter young man with dark hair. Kept referring to everyone by saying "HEY LADY." Charged me for my items and didn't give them to me and rushed me out. Save yourself time and money by shopping somewhere else. The TJ Maxx and Marshalls nearby are much better! Friendly staff and deals are even better. Will never be returning after I get my refund. This is a discount store, not Nordstroms and the service is commiserate with its discount mentality. This location is open until midnight most days but the inventory is just not there. Every time I go, it's so messy and nothing is by size. Then the household items are a mess. Most of them are damaged if not completely broken. In addition, there aren't that many options either. Line gets crazy at times with 1 cashier and of course no available sales associate on the floor to assist with needs. read more

As far as selections, there are days when I find things and other days when I don't. It's hit or miss here. However, it's been less likely to find what I need recently. Typically, most things are where they should be. Not so great customer service particularly the front register for returns/purchasing. I've been going to this Ross for years and there are people that are prompt and friendly which seem to be the newer employees. However, the ones I have seen over the years have become very short and not helpful at all. I was really happy to see how organized the store has become in the last few months! Very impressive! It's ok. Kinda unorganized, with few choices in homeware and decor. I gave it 3 star because the store dept was fab and I did find stool I liked for my dressing room. I also found a mini chandelier that looks hopeful. Otherwise, dirty store with rude customers all over the place. Kids jumping out of the racks like its chuck e cheese, running.......literally climbing on shelves to be at my eye level. I just ignored. The workers were friendly enough. I love popping into this Ross every time I'm nearby. The soap section is my favorite part of the whole store! So many pretty soaps in so many pretty keepsake boxes, I can spend a solid hour excitedly looking through them! I especially love when they bring in the music soap boxes ! Their makeup section though...leaves much to be desired. They do tend to have burts bees & too faced stuff often enough tho...so there's that I guess lmao. Clothes are fun to look for, they consistently carry pretty dresses. There's never a hard time finding parking near the store and there's always a security person near the doors so I feel safe hanging out or letting my younger siblings browse for clothes by themselves. read more

This is a dirty and gross store that has been in this shopping center forever. This is the only Ross I have been to and its usually hit or miss in terms of the quality of their stock. But let me tell you, when they have nice stuff its dirt cheap....I got 2 pairs of Claiborn jeans here for $15 each. Before going to a discount store like Kohls, just go here. Chances are you will find some really high quality names for about the same as lesser department store brands. Really the only place cheaper than a Ross is probably used clothes at a thrift store. You know what is a pain in the butt? Literally, getting stabbed by a security tag when trying on workout pants. I was trying on a pair of compression pants tonight when I heard a clatter and looked down and saw that the top half of the security tag was off the tag and the sharp and pointy end was stuck in my hip. They had tagged it so the stabby end went into the pants rather then pointed out and it had not been attached properly. Since it had drawn blood and had almost gone to my hip bone, I asked to speak to a manager. She asked if I was ok and then more or less shrugged it off and took away the offending item. Yes, I wanted cheap pants. I did not want to bleed for cheap pants. I took photos of both my hip and the instrument of torture and will not be going back. read more

Area Ross stores can be hit or miss, but this, my friend, is a diamond in the rough. I was fortunate to have lived near this Ross for many years, and luckily, I still have relatively easy access to it. What is so great about the Burke location? On my frequent visits, I have found the merchandise to be arranged in a much orderly manner than other locations. As a whole, this is also one of the cleanest discount stores I've encountered in the DC metropolitan region. The shoe selection is awesome; my mom got Juicy Couture booties for around fifty bucks! How can you beat that? They're super cute, and I have to stop myself from borrowing her shoes more often. But for me the, the biggest draw is the home accessories section. Vast aisles of things you never thought you needed for your home, but you really do. This Ross is especially great if you're looking for organizational products (tie hangers, shower caddies, jewelry racks, shelf organizers, etc.). Their wall decor selection is also pretty impressive. If you're into the whole bistro look, you can find a ton of charming panels and larger wall paintings for your home. Seating, chairs and stools, are also worth checking out. I adore their albums and gift options. Kitchen accessories are in abundance here. And if you're a candle person, their candle holders will keep you in the store for hours. And here's a jaw-dropper: I actually prefer this Ross to all Home Goods despite Home Goods being so addictive and enticing. Home Goods has prettier displays and a larger range of merchandise, BUT I've found the prices to be noticeably higher than Ross's for very similar items (laundry baskets, ottomans, lamps, and more). One thing I do think you're better off getting at Home Goods: luxury towels and throws. Everything else, you can save by buying at Ross. Home Goods fans, may highly disagree, but I think this Ross is the best discount store for home furnishings and accents, both in terms of price and attractiveness. read more

They have great prices as you all know but you have to work for them! This store is smaller than most and they don't get the stock turn around some of the larger stores do.. I used to shop at Ross periodically, and was curious about the long poles attached to the shopping carts. I just assumed that they were to benefit the rent-a-cops (pardon me...the inventory control specialists) to help them see where the customers were. It was only recently I figured out the real purpose: to keep shoppers from removing the carts from the store. They are the only business in the mall that does so. So after I made a complete fool of myself struggling to take the cart to my handicapped parking spot, I decided I would never shop there again, unless I had a wardrobe emergency (not bloody likely, mate.) read more

I had to come back and post a rating for this Ross after visiting the disastrous Ross store on Main Street in Fairfax. When I was here last week I found exactly what I needed which were three pair of leggings for my friend's curling team. The clothing racks were very organized and neat. There were no clothes thrown over the top as there were in the other store. Shoes and other items aren't strewn all over the floor. The employees here, in my experience, are always pleasant. Unfortunately I am still looking for more leggings so will have to visit other Ross stores in the area but in the future this will be my "go to" Ross! read more

Moms should boycott this place. After shopping for nearly a half hour with my one year old in the cart, I went to try on the clothes that I picked out. The attendant would not let me take the cart into the fitting rooms, nor did they have a fitting room with a door. My daughter would have been crawling everywhere. I spoke to the manager, and she told me that I needed to get a stroller. Really? Never again Ross. You just lost a good customer with a growing family. Very poor customer service. read more

Once upon a time I frequented Ross in Virginia Beach because of the unbelievable deals. This location is small, not laid out well to me, and not that cheap. Don't get me wrong, some items were priced well. All in all though, it seemed like the Virginia Beach location was cheaper, better organized and cleaner. Worst damn store ever. I went in with my wife she had a drink in her hand. When we stepped in the loss prevention guy named lashawn, stopped us like we were stealing or doing a illegal activity. We asked what did we do told us we can't have a drink, told us to take it back out. I simply asked why since we had never had the problem before. He told us imagine you spill it who will clean it up you? With so much negative Attitude like we weren't welcome. Then he said what if someone slips sues us and I'm out of the job. I understand everything he said but the amount of attitude he gave us and the way he spoke to us was just outrageous. It's kind of sad I never had problem at this Ross before but this just pissed me off highly my wife was really disappointed how he was speaking to us, I do not resort to anger much but this was really aggravating but I took the high road. Also when we checked out we are getting our items rang up and the cashier starts talking to other people while ringing up items, when we had a question we didn't want to disturb the nice conversation. I use to like this Ross because they're opened late and not too busy at night. This is my 3rd time coming and I was looking for workout bras, leggings and a spring dress. They close tonight at 11:30. I walked in at 10pm. At 10:30, I walked to the fitting room and it was blocked. The lady says they just closed it. Ok, I was told I can hols my items at customer service up front. I get to the front and the lady says we don't hold items. I explained the fitting room just closed and I was told to come here and I've put items on hold at Ross before.This chick tells me they just changed their policy and don't hold items anymore, they'll just be put back, but I should just buy the items and try them on at home. I just walked out and left the cart full of clothes there. I haven't been to this store in years even though it's close to my house because honestly it was always "dumpy." I went today because I was on a time crunch and looking for something specific that they might carry. I walked in by myself with a covered coffee cup and got turned away immediately because apparently they don't allow beverages. They expected me to quickly chug my full cup coffee outside. First of all, there is NO SIGN on their doors that says so and I thoroughly read all their outdoor signage after being asked to leave. From my view up front it still looked as grungy as ever so it's not like banning drinks improves their maintenance and appearance. I understand this rule for some small boutique shops, but for a chain department store?! My daughters are more likely to break something in the store than me spill my drink. Target and Walmart sell drinks and food for their shoppers to enjoy. I may be making a big deal over this, but it's a ridiculous, unnecessary rule for their type of store. They don't have good customer service with the return policy. I even had the receipt and I even talked with the manager of store.

I was going on vacation oversees so I decided to get some luggage here. I took three bags, but I decided to keep shopping so i asked the prevention loss guy if I could leave the 3 bags with him while I'm doing so. I had requested the same before but in the Springfield location with no problem at all. actually, here he said yes, too when suddenly a woman next to him said. "NO! that's not our service. If you want the luggage you have to take it with you or take it somewhere else and if somebody else takes them it's not our problem" I said: Really? I mean I'm a frequent customer. She said: "we are not paid to do that" I called her rude, because it was the first time that I had an Ross employee mistreating me. I requested to talk to her manager. And she said: "do you want to complain? ok, that's the picture of my manager, you can complain with her!" The big surprise for me was to see the picture of the same lady that was being rude to me. EMILY CABALLERO. SHE was the manager (what in the world?!!!) I told her how nasty person she is, specially for the store business and she said; "I won't let you pay for those items. This is MY store so get out of here! I called 911, because I had store credit that I hadn't used before and at least I wanted to have my money back. Two officers arrived and they told me they were useless because that was a civil matter. But they showed me the number of the district manager of that store JERRY EDWARDS. I had to leave and I called Mr. Edwards and he was very apologetic. But really with that experience my advise for anyone is to use a different Ross. Here, don't even take the chance. This Ross don't have waiting seats for people and all the employees are scared and submitted to this crazy "lady" EMILY CABALLERO. Who thinks she's the owner of the business and she can choose who is her customer or not. She ordered to all cashiers not to let me pay for the luggage that I needed. Who did she get that position??? A mystery. District managers, you must do a better personnel selection and don't jeopardize the reputation of your business with bad examples like this one. read more
