I was able to find the perfume I was not able to get online and other unavailable products online - in person - at clearance at this Hot Topic store. I like the jeweled hair clips I bought - 2 packs and the perfume. The clearance prices were low and it was buy one item and get 2 free deal for clearance products. 6/5/22 Today I saw a Hello Kitty's affiliates. One of which is named Kuromi and My Melody. The shirt or woman's tank top had Kuromi on it. I liked the combination of black and purple, but my wife did not want it...as cute as it is. I read about the two characters later on and even saw the human versions of all of them on the internet. Apparently all of them have traveled to the human world and became humans while visiting. Visiting this store's location, only one staff member seemed to be working so I had to wait for a while. I saw another shirt with a girl having two faces. Creepy, but cool. Couldn't read the artist's name. Both shirt were on sale for 15 bucks.one day I might end up buying something for myself. read more

I had bought a lanyard that had craft tape over it because i'm assuming someone opened it and returned it, didn't get a discount paid full price, went back to return or exchange because i didn't like the item inside it was bent and out of shape the plastic part of it. I went to the male worker that had sold it to me he had black curly hair it was a mullet his female coworker with reddish hair and bangs cut him off whilst i was talking to HIM mind you not HER and was being very condescending and going against her own logic telling me that i couldn't return it because i had opened it but it was already opened when i bought it and very condescendingly explained to me the purpose of blind bags. I don't know who shit in her cereal that morning or what she had going on but i had put my dog down yesterday and was already sensitive regardless of that i was nothing but polite about it. Not to be confused with Cold Tropic, which is when Haiti or Hawaii suddenly has a snowstorm. This is one of my favorite stores in the Springfield Town Center - Hot Topic. They have a lot of sexy stuff and bright cheap hair dyes and everything you would ever need to want to look like a rebel or a slut (like me) or a goth or all of the above which is usually the case. an absolute train wreck of a release. this was for the Twice/Gyomei Funko Pop Release i don't ever leave reviews but this one was one for the books was waiting in line outside for 5 hours the mall entrance where security told us to wait at since we cannot wait in the mall, but that is how shoe/Pops releases go at Springfield 11 am rolls around and we are finally let in after spending what felt like forever in freezing temps...much to my and the other 14/15 others in the line outside surprise, there was already a line from "mall walkers" that were let in early. Employee in charge at this time did absolutely NOTHING to help us out, disregarding the line and even passed out pieces of paper that had numbers based on who was in line at the Hot Topic, to which they didn't even check the papers in the end. Even after Mall security acknowledged their mistake and said our line was first since the early morning, and left it up to Hot Topic to fix, Hot Topic (don't want to put employee name) didn't acknowledge our line outside to be the official line, even when security had already confirmed it. Based on the amount of chases and people in the outside line, I would have gotten a Twice chase that I was waiting since 6 am for , but ended up leaving with a common Twice I already have. bought another just to make the wait worth something Worst part was it was given to me damaged. Figures. While I didn't have the best experience here and was stolen of a nice opportunity to buy, I bet corporate hasn't equipped employees with the training on how to handle situations like this. read more

Went here on Thanksgiving , late at night . Many sales were going on and I was just passing by Hot Topic and two workers came out and started yelling at my friend and I to go in the store , they said the store is having a sale and T-shirts are $10 only that day . The two guys working there were very aggressive and basically forced my friend and I to go inside because we wanted them to stop talking. Then all of the workers would yell " 10 dollar t shirts " . Yelling at customers and forcing them inside isn't going to make me want to buy anything or ever come back ! The store is messy and the cashier was rude . I had a simple question about an item and I asked the cashier and he said "I don't know " in a rude way and was no help at all . He could have said I don't know but I can go ask for you or something but nope he his answer was just I don't know. read more

Not sure what's up with the one bad review. I love this location so, so, so much. The employees are all super friendly. The highlight of the place though is that it is the cleanest, most well organized hot topic I've ever been into. It's wonderful because browsing is far more enjoyable when things aren't messy. I haven't been to Hot Topic in years, but it didn't disappoint. It's still just like I remember something I like to describe as "Barbie Goth". I was able to purchase some hot pink fingerless leather gloves and fishnets. The sales person was helpful and polite. I can't see myself wearing clothes from here every day, but it does the trick for Halloween. read more

Every time I go in there they're always super nice to me. I've been shopping at Hot Topic ever since I could buy my own clothes. I really love the fact that they went with the comic book kind of store. I love metal and always buy my t shirts there. I have never had a bad experience in there and will continue to shop there until I'm out of the area. The management always makes me and my girlfriend feel welcome. I'm a big guy and my girlfriend she's a big woman personality wise and they always joke around with us. I'm always shopping there when it's not busy but I'm sure there other employees are just as awesome. FYI look at the clearance area first they have some good deals at times. read more

One star is honestly too much for this review. Today at this Hot Topic location, I recieved the most horrible costomer service of my entire life. I have literally never met such an unwelcoming, and blatantly rude sales associate. My boyfriend and I had been waiting in line to check out for 10 minutes with only one person in line ahead of us. We spotted another employee in the store, so my boyfriend kindly approached him asking for help at the register. The associate (later identified as "Bradley") simply blew him off saying "the girl at the register will help you". My boyfriend proceeded to explain to him that we had been waiting quite a long time, and that perhaps the current cashier could use some help. Again he blew him off. We continued to wait in line, with more customers forming behind us. Eventually Bradley walked behind the register and told us all to move the line over in front of her register. He stood there for a moment (which one would assume means he was finally there to help), but then he just turned to walk away again. I looked at my boyfriend and said "wow, I guess he's just going to walk away with all these people in line". He turned around and snapped back at me "do you have something to say?" so I replied "yes, this girl could use some help, and it's poor customer service to leave us all waiting". Which he so rudely replied "well she's new and has to learn" and proceeded to walk away. I already messaged corporate, and truly hope they can set this guy straight. read more

No, no. Hot Topics certainly aren't what they used to be, but this one takes the cake for the worst I've visited. Every single time I am "greeted" by the rudest woman I have ever met. She has insulted me to my face, and I've seen her tell people they're too fat to enter her store. Other than that, this one doesn't have a great selection. The guys that work there are wrapped around her finger, it seems. They're silent and don't even speak until they read the total at the register. Not something I want to relive again. read more

I'd much rather send this in an email to the GM of this location than put it as a review but seeing how it's near impossible to find that information I guess I'll post it here. I've been shopping at this store for years. Overall it's pretty OK, maybe 3 or 4 stars. I mostly buy gauges here and I understand that they have a "no returns allowed" policy on their body jewelry, which I understand because it's for a good reason. I purchased two plugs online to be picked up in store, which took an entire month to show up. Then when I get to the store I told them right away I had gone up a size in the time I waited and would like to exchange the plugs for the correct size. Now these plugs are in a plastic container, in a sealed bag covered in plastic wrap that's taped to them in another sealed shipment bag: clearly they've never left the store with me or been opened and worn. I am informed I cannot do an exchange or return because the computer would not let them because of their policy. I ask if there is a manger who can override this in the computer as clearly I hadn't even opened the package before asking to exchange them. I was told I was speaking to the manager on duty and she cannot fulfill my request. I then called customer service and they informed me that I absolutely CAN do a return/exchange. I return to the store with CS on the phone and ask again, relaying what CS had told me to the manager on duty. She then says that she CAN do the exchange, but "only this once". Moral of this review is that the policy of no returns makes sense if the customer left the store with it but to make me jump through those hoops for a simple and fair return/exchange when the item had never left the store and was clearly never opened or worn? Wow. Not very business-like. I will be buying my jewelry else where from now on. read more
