I always purchase both Decaf and Regular Balley's Irish tea bags ( all my visits to Britain and the High Teas mean I can never go back to Lipton!). Being very health conscious, I am thrilled with the Mutti Parma Datterini Tomatoes and Parmigiano Reggiano pasta sauce with no added sugars! It is SO delicious, especially over Regioni d'Italia Bucatini pasta. Being a Rewards member, today I received a "mystery gift" sauce from the new Asian selection. GETTING HERE: (Cost Plus) World Market is located in the Esplanade shopping center in Oxnard. Look for Dick's Sporting Goods and you'll come right to it. REVIEW: This biz is good time considering the nature of retail businesses in 2026. :-) I don't have a lot of expectations, I keep coming back here for the huge variety of drinks, teas, food, snacks, chocolates that they offer. They used to carry Chimes toasted coconut, hard toffees, and I would clear them out every time I went in. :-) Unfortunately, they don't carry those anymore. Customer Service is fine enough; although I never seem to find any employees on the service floor. In the past, I have come in for a specific items, and struggle to find an employee to help me, but it is what it is. They have a lot of neat, eclectic items. If you've got some time to waste and want to do some browsing, I would stop by World Market. I'd venture a bet you'd find something. read more

I love me some World Market. This definitely has become my shopping center go to for home goods and niche food items. I particularly like this location as it's pretty big, always clean, and coming during a weekend they actually were pretty well stocked with cashiers and staff. That's usually my biggest pet peeve at other world markets, as I've ran into long lines and only one person on register but not here. They've got their staffing stacked and everyone was helpful and moving along the lines. As far as home goods go, I love shopping here for cushions, artwork, kitchen wears and occasionally there are some nice furniture items. What I really come here the most for is their international food section. They have some of my favorite ramen, Greek olive oil, German mustard and canned fishes here. A good selection every time and despite a lot of the goods being imported, I don't feel that they crank up the prices or anything like that. Secondly they have a solid wine and fun beer selection - I'm always impressed and it's a great spot for gifts. Haven't been to a WM location in years and with this being so close by my home, I had to stop by. I was pretty impressed with their Buldak Ramen flavor variety; especially Cream Carbonara. I got mine from Walmart for $15.99 and WM only sells it for $9! They also have several Japanese Kit Kat flavors and even an exclusive variety box. Picked up my Lingon Berry jam because I crave it all the time on pancakes or waffles thanks to IHOP. Clean store and clerks on the floor that were friendly and available to assist. read more

They carry various home items such as furniture, artwork, kitchen supplies, even holiday decor, packaged food, beverages & alcoholic beverages. I can easily lose track of time going down every single aisle. I like to browse the candy aisle. Who knew they carry different candies, imported ones at that. Like the Japanese Kit Kats. Different flavors that you can't find in a regular grocery store. Love how diverse the items are. Especially the different sauces. There's even a section with miniature condiments, too cute. They also have a great wine selection here too. And lots of gift giving stuff you're sure to find here. I did an online order & still couldn't help but browse around. Employees are friendly. Ok so this is your average World Market. Nothing special or spectacular. Great inventory, clean and everything is well-spaced. I would not typically complete this type of review however, their assistance manager (JASON) is amazing. I tend to pay attention to detail and he immediately greeted me when I was in the rug section and asked me if I needed assistance (I did not). I looked around a bit and found him stocking some items. I'm a coupon shopper and always looking for a deal. He assisted me in setting up my phone to get an introductory coupon. He was accommodating, friendly, cheerful and appeared genuinely happy to help. I love shopping at this store! There's so many cute gifts, home decor items, beauty items, and other yummy snacks from all over the world. The staff members are always friendly and greet me as I come in as well as check in to see if there's anything that I need help with. This place has so many random sweets, ingredients, beers and wines from all over the world. They also sell toys, greeting cards, soaps, lotions, candles, and succulent plants. Make sure to join their free World Explorer rewards program so you can earn rewards as well as get coupons/discounts for future shopping purchases. There's lots of free parking in the plaza. So I walked into World Market about 45 min ago looking for a belated Christmas gift. I was hoping to find a completed gift basket; unfortunately there were none left. But, fortunately,I found someone better, I found Ciarra. She must have seen my overwhelmed looked, because I was. She asked me if i needed help and I told her I was looking for a gift basket. The next thing she said was a game changer... "would you like me to build you one?" At that moment I knew I stumbled upon the right person . Ciarra asked me questions about the receiver of the basket and before you know I had a basket that full of yummy food, nice beers, quality munchies and personal items that I know will speak to the person receiving the basket. Next she said, "would you like me to put the gift basket together for you?" WOULD I? HECK YA! One of the smaller CPWM stores around (compared to West Hills one) but definitely still has quite a lot of items. Cost Plus World Market is one of those stores where you're not looking to spend a ridiculous amount but do anyways because the stuff is that awesome whether it's the furniture, rugs, birthday cards, snacks, etc. I will do a pros and cons for this location. Pros - They have a variety of items to choose from. - The snacks here are unique and amazing. Best way to explain it is they have international snacks, unique chocolate snacks, awesome unique sodas, and much more. - The furniture and rugs here are actually great quality and worth a check out. Cons - One of the more expensive stores for certain items. Be prepared to spend a bit of money.! - The store isn't as big as other ones - The lines are the checkout can be quite slow. There can be 3 people ahead of you and still take 10 minutes. Other than that, CPWM is definitely one of the kore unique and awesome stores in the area that carry a variety of items. read more

Yes, the prices may be a bit up there, but if they're definitely imported & not from California, I would think it would be sold a couple cents higher. * Membership: All you need is to input your phone number or email & you're in for their coupons & deals. My inbox is filled with World Market updates, sales, & coupons every now & then but I do not use it all the time. It's mainly good for their wine deals & home decor sales. * Service: Every single customer service I receive here is beyond 5 stars. Always greeted at the door as I enter & cashiers are always enthusiastic/kind about their products & service. Holidays are always hectic around the esplanade so service tends to be a bit different, but so far I have no negative comments about the associates here. I've found several products I usually would get as a gift from out of state or out of the country here. From Korean, Canadian, Hawaiian, Filipino, European, Japanese goods, you name every country, they sell a little bit of the WORLD! If you're looking for Asian ingredients, seasonings, sauces, you might want to go to an Asian grocery store instead, but they do sell some here, just a tad pricier. I did happen to find an awesome desktop ping pong set that you can temporarily place on a dinner table. There's also a huge selection on different wines and they're kinda pricey. The price you pay for not giving personal information. Went into World Market 11/23/21 in Oxnard CA. For two bottles of wine for Thanksgiving. Went to buy it and the price of each bottle was now 30 % more. The cashier said unless I was a member, the price would be more than the print price on the shelf. UNLESS I gave about 17 pieces of personal information to become a "member". But that is only with beer and wine, aka booze. Nothing else in the store. Why is that? We are talking not just 1, 2, 3 bucks more but $5 - 6 increase for every bottle of every wine. So we will pay more for not wishing to give out all the contact information to bombard you with texts and emails. And now (yes, not a conspiracy) they know exactly who, what, when , where you buy your next purchases for life at World Markets and who knows what other companies else will buy that info from them. And beside that, its the dang priciple. Come on! Enough with the information harvesting. Especially when it COSTS us NOT to give it out. I guess that's why they call it "Cost Plus". I always make it a destination for the holidays. In fact, for the past 3 years, it has been my "inauguration of the holiday season" store. My first stop on Black Friday. Why? Because everyone else is lining up at the big brand stores, leaving places like world market all for my pretty lonesome. They usually gift something to the first 200 customers as well. They always have all the right things here. (We just bought eight dining room chairs and had them delivered to our house on cyber Monday that is what brought me back into the store.) When I was done shopping and I was fortunate to have that same smiling young lady Courtney be the person that checked me out. I had forgotten how fun and charming it is.. I happened to pop in while Christmas shopping with a friend.. We bought some stocking stuffers and a few ornaments.. then I started to really notice at all the unique items.. The store is clean and fairly organized for its size.. Fell in love with a drafting table for my daughter. Went back after Christmas to look at it again and found in was on sale. Woo hoo! I also found the staff to be extremely helpful and personable. While wandering I saw a table that would be perfect for a friend.. sent her a snap shot and she was down in a flash to pick up for her new home.. Its always a lovely experience when I come to this store. The store is always neat and organized and I am ALWAYS greeted. There has not been one time where I have not been greeted. And as I make my way around the store there are always a few nice people along the way to make sure that I'm finding everything ok. And the gentleman in the wine section is always ever so helpful and friendly. This past weekend a saleswoman named Theresa was extremely helpful when I realized I forgot to mention the Veterans discount. I was almost out of the store when I realized I forgot to mention the Veterans discount for an additional 25%. I felt horrible to have to go through the transaction again but in all honestly that's the reason I made the trip to the store that weekend. So she kindly returned everything and rang me back up and told me the wise words " Just don't look back". Made me feel a little better about being a cheapskate. Any other store or employee probably would've felt annoyed but I never got that feeling from her. I came back later in the day to purchase a rug and a few other things. Cost plus is without a doubt one of my favorite go to places, I think of it as a less expensive Pier One. If you enjoy the eclectic, have a passion for bohemian , or Balinese style you will be ready to shop your socks off. And if your looking for an average store with standard merchandise , you could be disappointed or you might just consider yourself lucky you dropped in. From kitschy baubles, funky little fashion jewelry, stationary , giftware, kitchen & dining goods, bathroom textiles, furniture, wine & rare food finds (no perishables sold here). I have yet to meet anyone that can leave her empty handed even if they stepped in on a fluke. Cost plus is my shopping meditation , it's got a laid back feel that speaks like, grab a cart and stay awhile. The only time I've ever seen it get insanely busy is during Christmas, so at that time please don't expect to get in & out because you'll be in for a rude awakening and that's with "all" registers going...
